Constitution Marina, Boston Harbor

They were terrific. Everyone was kind and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and nice. The laundry is great and reasonably priced. The newly renovated pool is terrific! It’s like an extended Marina family. Overall we love it here and will miss our Marina family over the winter!

We stayed at the Constitution Marina for three nights during the Tall Ships 250th event. The staff, especially Bill, were excellent. We left and returned to our slip several times during our stay with dock staff readily available to assist in our return. All services were covered with the pump out being as advertised, at our slip being efficient and professional-thank you again Bill! There are two areas I believe need to be improved. 1. The docks themselves are old, but are in the process of being upgraded. A more aggressive approach to completing the job would make a very positive impact on the safety and overall ambience of the facility. I encourage doing all of "A" dock first and then completing the finger docks one at a time. This might help staff with #2 below if "A" dock was able to accommodate an electric cart. 2. Boat trash removal requires taking the trash outside of the dock area. There should be dock boxes for trash, relieving the boater from a long a tiresome trek. I booked and paid for a slip at Constitution Marina almost a year in advance, so I expected to actually have a slip waiting for me. The day before arriving, I called to ask what slip I would be assigned and was told it was "first come, first served." That should have been my first warning. When we arrived, there was no slip available because the marina had overbooked. Instead of getting the slip I paid for, I was forced to raft up with two other boats in the main channel entering the harbor. I paid for a slip, not to be tied to other boats in a busy, high-wake area. When I questioned why we didn't have the slip I reserved, the dockmaster's response was essentially, "If you don't like it, then leave." That level of customer service is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, we were initially told we couldn't have shore power because they didn't have enough extension cords. I have a 50-foot power cable that is always sufficient when I'm in an actual slip. Only after more attitude from the staff was I finally given an extension so we could connect to shore power while rafting. We were told we would only have to raft up for the first two nights. During those two nights, my boat was nearly hit multiple times due to wakes from boats entering and leaving the harbor. The constant movement caused dock lines to break. Fortunately, I was onboard when it happened and was able to prevent serious damage. After the promised two nights, I asked when we would be moved into an actual slip. I was told someone was returning early and needed "their" slip. I asked directly if the marina had overbooked, and the answer was yes. To make matters even more frustrating, another boat was later placed into the open slip next to us, and they told me it wasn't even the slip they had originally been assigned. The location and the marina itself are very nice, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the dockmaster was rude, arrogant, and appeared to have no concern for customers after taking their money. The marina's poor management came at the expense of paying customers. Under competent management, this could be a great marina. Until then, I cannot recommend paying for a reserved slip here if there's a chance you won't actually get one.

I made my reservation in August 2025 and paid the full amount at that time, expecting that a slip would be reserved and available upon my arrival. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the marina, there was no slip available for my boat. Instead, I was required to raft up with approximately eight other boats, which was not what I had reserved or paid for. Given the cost of staying at your marina, I expected a much higher level of service and a suitable accommodation solution when the reserved slip was unavailable. Unfortunately, no meaningful alternative was provided, and the experience fell well short of expectations. As a result, I am very dissatisfied with how this situation was handled. After planning ahead and paying in full months in advance, I do not feel that I received the service I was promised. This experience will certainly make me think twice before booking with your marina again.

The marina itself was ok. The issue i have with it is me and a group of fellow boaters made reservations for this place 1 year for a slip and we didn't get a slip. We were all drafted together with 2 boats on the pier. They managed to get power to me as I was the outside boat but had to climb over boats to get to mine and no water as we were to far away. We had fun just not what we paid for.

Great stay! They were very accommodating when we wanted to extend our stay. Great viewing spot for the fireworks on the 2nd of July, 2026. We departed as the Tall Ships were arriving. Awesome.

Dock staff was absolutely fantastic and showers/ laundry/pool//patio was great. Having said that, this is not a modern marina. No poles between the docks, badly worn and weathered docks that you have to walk looking down. Trash dump is not convenient and the slip width is so tight that we needed 5 dock hands to get us in and tied off.

Excellent service, location can’t be beat! Walking distance to some of the best restaurants and sites in Boston. This was our second time there, this time with our grandson who loved it!

Great place to tie up for a night

Great location for exploring Boston. The pool was a wonderful amenity given that we were visiting over the 3 hottest days in the last 60+ years. Clean showers and bathrooms. Ice and laundry on-site. Dock hands assists with lines upon arrival in this tight harbor.

Great marina! Helpful dock hands. This marina is located in the heart of Charlestown waterfront, right on the Freedom Trail. If you’re looking to explore the sights, the location can’t be beat. Bonus, they give you a discount card good at some local restaurants - and they are places you want to eat at anyway! The historic Warren Tavern is one of them.

The location is fantastic for getting just about anywhere in the city. It's easy to get to the water taxi or subway system and stop 3 on the Hop on Hop off tour is at the USS Constitution. The marina has solid power and water as well as a pump-out boat. We stayed a week and could have stayed a season!

Great marina. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have well-kept showers and laundry facilities. Close to restaurants and things to do and see.

Very time sensitive marina parking not directly available unless your long term paying for a slip, but other options available, def would have paid more for included parking otherwise it was a good stay and everyonebwas friendly
