Excellent Staff and Facilities! Above and BEYOND! Meagan was fantastic!! She and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate us with a last minute overnight slip! Stayed a few minutes past closing to make sure we secured a slip and then accommodated us the next day when needing a little extra time while troubleshooting an alternator problem we were having on the boat. Highly recommend this marina!!

Great marina and facilities. Excellent staff, and a variety of 3rd party services on the campus. riggers, mechanics, canvas, general maintenance - Even a west marine store. The only downside is that it’s in a rural area so there is limited shopping.

Although we have been to its sister marina, this was our first visit to the north. Great marina with top notch amenities like the laundry and beautiful paths. Their bathrooms are the most modern and clean that we have been to, and we like the fact that they are individual rooms. They were also accommodating when we asked to be placed on the T-head due to gusty wind of 25+ knots and our draft is at their MLW. We will definitely will be back.

Resort marina! Loved everything about it except for the lack of access to groceries. It would be nice if they offered a daily shuttle to Chris’ grocery. Nevertheless, we will be back next year.

It was an ok place. The Marina bathrooms are clean and easy to get to. The docks weren’t cleaned, the herring pooped again and again and it was a mess. I didn’t feel a a warm welcome from the dock master or dock hands. I made the reservation on dockwa, if it wasn’t for me needing quarters for the laundry I would if never talked to the staff. I am grateful for one thing, on our way in we tried beating a storm and asked to check in early, they did get us in at 11:30.

A very impressive Marina. Tha facilities were beautiful and clean. The pool and pool area was a nice size. The converted trailer to ice cream shop I believe it was called Dixons was very creative. The band playing the night we were there was the best we had heard on the Chesapeake Bay so far and we’ve been all over the upper to central bay. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

We had engine trouble on a Saturday in August and had to limp back to the dock on one engine. Herrington managed to find an excellent diesel tech who was able to come out and diagnose our issue same day. After getting a part, we were back on the water the next day. Great, great service that saved our trip from being a total bust.

Our stay at Herrington Harbour North was great. It was the first time that we stayed at this venue. We had a floating dock (F) that was somewhat centrally located from the restrooms and the pool. Used the outdoor cooking facilities for one meal with no issues The facility is well maintained. We would stay there again in the future.

The facilities are beautiful. And the pool decor is very well done …but. Why do they not have a bar at the pool during the SUMMER week ?? The pool was cloudy or milky color with dirt on the bottom, including dead worms !! Really ? We have a pool and have a professional pool company maintaining. A crystal clear pool is not impossible. And asking TWO lifeguards to be in charge of the pool is not the same thing. Just very disappointing condition of the pool really brought our opinion down on this property . Sad

Overall excellent. Nice and helpfull staff. Great grounds and facilites (didn't use baths or laundry). Biggest gripe is lack of garbage cans. You have to walk out to a dumpster in the middle of the parking lot to empty your garbage or drop off your dog bag.

I have been a customer of this marina for 12 years. About 7 years ago I bought a house next door to the marina. That's how much I love this place.
Why?
1. Slips. The docks and slips are immaculate. Very well maintained, with water and electricity.
2. Facilities. This is a working yard with a West Marine on site! Brokers, mechanics, riggers, wood workers (Phipps Boatworks is legendary) and Marine electronics. Everything a sailor would want or need.
Large footprint to store your boat on land and several lifts to haul and launch your boat.
3. Landscaping. Even though it's a working yard the landscaping of the grounds is beautiful and well maintained. The pool facilities are very nice to have on a hot summer day when there isn't any wind
4. The Front Office. Very responsive and helpful. They do what they say they are going to, and on time.
I have cruised most of Chesapeake bay and stayed at or visited more Marina's than I can count. I have yet to find a Marina as nice as Herrington Harbor.
This review is for the North marina, however, the South marina has a different theme. It has a resort atmosphere and a huge pool. Worth a visit as well

Absolutely wonderful marina, from clean facilities and nice docks to excellent, friendly and accommodating service. Highly recommend Herrington Harbor to both transients and folks looking for an annual / seasonal slip.
The entrance to the marina (Herrington Harbor North) is a bit tricky but they provide a useful video that shows you how to do it, and ultimately the channel markers and other signage (eg “Shoals”) make it an easy transit.

Great Marina! The grounds were excellent, and the number of repair trades on site was amazing! Fortunately, we didn't need them, but we did visit the descent-sized West Marina on the premises. The staff was great and worked with us to get in, I think that this is one of the first marinas that we went on a wait list and actually got a callback!
We highly recommend a visit!

The Marina, Herrington North is very nice. Also very big. Except for two things, i would give them five stars.
1) We made request in morning, & by mid afternoon we had no confirmation. Late afternoon, an hour before our stated arrival time in reservation request, we called Marina direct to inquire if we should continue in bound or go somewhere else. Our request was not filled due to question on boat length of traveling partner boat? We both got confirmations after making the call.
2) Maybe Dockwa is part culprit (2nd time this trip): Rate at reservation request was $2.50/ft. When Request was processed by Dockwa, the stay was processed at $3.00/ft.
As stated the marina is nice, well manicured grounds and very clean facilities in buildings. There is a restaurant (great & diverse food) adjacent. There are a number of repair shops located on the premises. Ask for rate before confirming.

Herrington Harbor North was a wonderful marina. Staff and everyone was so accommodating and nice. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The pool and other facilities was clean and very nice. My husband and I loved that there was an adult swim for 15 minutes every hour on the hour. This allowed only adults in the pool without getting splashed and hearing a bunch of screaming from the children. Will definitely be back

This was my marina for several years. Amazing place and amazing people. Beautiful resort atmosphere, very chill and laid back a great place to relax and enjoy the area. There are also several vendors and a West Marine on site along with a great reseturant! I no longer have my slip here but when I am an the area I always stop by.

This really is a resort marina. It seems only slightly behind Herrington Harbor south in being the best marina I have ever visited. Enjoyed my stay. I had a problem with my gear shift when I arrived and they handled getting me into my slip and send a workman to fix my boat even at 5pm on a Friday night. Way above and beyond what I could expect from a marina.

The overnight stay we had was terrific. The dockhand arrived to help us tie off and was polite. We were able to get 2 30 amp slip & easy in and out. We were located near the restaurant & marina breakroom with a gym, lounge, bathrooms, and ice for $2.00. The marina is massive with 17 piers!
I would recommend Harrington Harbor South over North due to fuel dock and more resort type atmosphere. By the way, nobody beats their diesel prices which were a dollar LESS Per gallon than the Magothy River where we live. They also offered a boat US discount.

Excellent help getting directed to my slip and helping with lines. Very clean restrooms. Used the on site rigging company to have some shroud tune up performed at a reasonable cost. I would use this marina again.

We try to make at least one trip to HHN each sailing season. This is one of our favorite marina destinations in the mid-bay area and is a good stopping point on our way to Solomons. The HHN facility is vast and very well-kept. Most things you could need are on-site including dining, a West Marine, a dog park, two lounges, vending machines, ice, pool, etc.. They've done a great job at merging a marina facility with the natural surrounds. It's a favorite stop for our Golden Retriever.

We enjoyed our two days at HHN. We were met right at the dock and had excellent help getting tied up. The marina is very well maintained with amenities you don’t find elsewhere. Restrooms were spotless. The on-site restaurant had music each night and the food was very good.

HHN is one of our favorite marinas. The location is great and the facilities are top notch. We love the park-like atmosphere, restroom/showers, and the pool. Transportation to nearby restaurants can sometimes be challenging. Expect to wait 20 minutes for uber or lyft when going out to dinner. The narrow roads in Deale are not really conducive to walking or biking. However, we still love the place.

Megan was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful setting up our slip reservation for our first trip with our new boat. We had the perfect slip for our boat and location to the amenities (J6). The dock hands guided us to our slip upon arrival and helped us tie up and connect power. They were very helpful and courteous. They provided us with a marina packet which included a map and other helpful information. The marina is beautiful, well-kept and clean. We will definitely be returning! Thank you HHN!

Great hospitality on a last minute request to dock for a night. Easy dockage, staff welcoming, excellent facilities. Our only disappointment was we didn't stay a few days. Next time dingy is a must to cruise creeks and area, will paddleboard, will just kick back. A treat.

I have to say that this is the most amazing marina we have ever stayed at in the 15 years of cruising up and down the Eastern Seaboard. They make everyone feel like a VIP and the staff (even the guy on the travel lift) stop to acknowledge you and welcome us to Herrington Harbour. And everyone we spoke to that keeps their boat there would never leave – they think it is the best place on the planet.
Everything that they do is with boaters in mind – but there isn’t anything they haven’t though of and the grounds are amazing. They set the bar high for all other marinas.

Nice facility and great pool. The bar was excellent and didn’t break the bank. We dined at their restaurant which had nice live music. Go for the bar food and skip the fancier entrees though... my Ruben was great, my wife’s blacked tuna not so much. We’ll definitely stop here again of future trips!

This marina fully deserves 5 stars! It is a great place to park your boat with fantastic facilities - first class individual a/c'd bathrooms, beautiful landscaping, grills and gazebos and a very nice pool. Very clean and pump-out right on the dock as you come in highly recommended.

This facility in every way merits 5 stars. Yes, the marina has clean, no, amend that, impeccably spotless, air conditioned restrooms (and many of them to boot), and yes, the marina has well thought out slip areas, wide open fairways, sturdy, rock solid docks with all weather, wide decking, and yes, the marina has every maintenance, marine fabrication and retail business right on the premises, but, what really sets the marina apart is the staff. The people are truly there to make the stay as comfortable as humanly possible. Thank you folks for an amazing, all too brief stay at Herrington Harbour North!

Large marina with the added bonus of a large yacht yard that can handle all the boats in the marina. It's great to be able to call the marina and have them haul you boat and block it without having to be on-site, if you choose. West Marine and a host of repair services on the campus are helpful, too. Good staff and spectacular private restrooms/showers top the list. Members' lounge, fitness room, and swimming pool are great perks. Only ding is no fuel dock (although they have one at their sister marina close by).

My home port. After leaving a yacht club on the West River, Herrington Harbor North has been a wonderful surprise. The marina is extremely well maintained and professionally run. The staff members are courteous and helpful. The marina is very eco friendly. They provide numerous social events at no additional cost for the slip holders that include catered parties, hot breakfasts, and outdoor movie nights. During the summer months there is a trolley that for only 25 cents takes passengers from the marina to Deale, Chesapeake Beach, North Beach, and Rosehaven.
I have used several of the onsite contractors and have been pleased with the services received.
All in all, I am very impressed with the way that the marina is run and am glad to be there.
