Great visit at the Museum, friendly staff.

Great overnight. Side tie-up in front of museum. Docks are in good shape. Museum is worth a tour, a lot of history happened here. Great dinner and vibe at the Ship to Shore restaurant.

Nice museum, cute town, great restaurants near by, nice staff and clean bathrooms/showers.

Jim, the Dockmaster was EXCELLENT! He went out of his way to advise us about the currents, tides, and how best to tie up. He even telephoned us when we were about an hour away to give us a heads up about some logs floating in the river. The facilities were in good shape. Bathrooms and showers clean and nice. BEST wi fi we have ever had at a marina! And the town of Kingston was very pretty and very walkable. We ended up staying 2 extra nights because we liked it so much. 10 stars for Jim, his staff, and the marina.

Dockmaster Jim was very helpful and accommodating at our arrival, bathroom and shower facilities are very modern and clean. Always lots of interesting activities going on on their waterfront, and in the museum, so is a great place for boaters to relax and enjoy, and is only a short walk to great restaurants.

It’s a wonderful spot. We were met by a very gracious host who provided a map of the area, dining recommendations, a code to the very clean bathroom/shower facilities, and an offer to tour the interesting museum.

Wonderful stay, highly recommend! Jim was very helpful in helping us docking and orientating to the area. Close to several excellent restaurants and coffee / donut shop.

Small, quiet and accommodating. Floating dock, close proximity to restaurants, clean modern bathrooms, good power and water pressure. Everyone was friendly, helpful and very accommodating to our needs.

Very nice dockmaster and location was great.

by Donald S. on Aug 16, 2023
This is the third time this year that we docked here. Each time Jim,dock master, has been absolutely wonderful. He picks up phone immediately and calls back if there is a problem on the creek. Would not want to dock at any other marina on the creek. Docks are clean and easy on-off from boat. Great marina! Ina& Don on Take It E-Sea

Dockmaster Jim is so nice it is refreshing. Great marina and museum.

by Arthur A. - Verified user on Aug 13, 2023
Very nice facility and admission to museum is included with your dockage. Museum is small but well done! We didn't dine out but did walk into town (short walk). Several nice looking restaurants and a wine bar. Good stop.

by Robert G. - Verified user on Aug 08, 2023
Jim the Dockmaster was so helpful with helping us secure our boat, and explaining all that there was to do in Kingston

by Douglas M. - Verified user on Aug 03, 2023
Beautiful area, close to restaurants. Very quaint, museum and boat building shop on site. The staff was helpful and make an extra effort to make you feel comfortable. Just wish docks were more secure at night. Could use more lighting and maybe cameras at night since the docs are very open to the public. The short walk to the bathrooms has stones and is not private or well lit. The men’s and women’s bathrooms (entry by keypad) both have a single shower each and overall the facilities are adequate.
Marina Response:
Thank you for your review, Douglas. Your suggestions are appreciated. We are in the process of setting up more cameras and adding lighting to the walkway to the bathrooms. We are always open to suggestions on how to make everyone's stay here enjoyable and safe. Sincerely, Liz Feser Finance and Operations Manager

Wonderful. The Hudson River Maritime Museum is a must see. Jim is fabulous!!!

To start, I don't give five stars to marinas with out pools. That being said: the booking process was easy. The dockmaster helpful; the town had charm and there were good restaurants close by. We are 55' trawler with single screw. We got in with help at floor, left at slack without help, and enjoyed our stay. The museum is definetly worth it.

by Bob P. - Verified user on Jul 30, 2023
Excellent stay, great location, friendly staff. Free museum admission was a great perk!

by Matthew K. - Verified user on Jul 30, 2023
Easy docking, nice showers, interesting museum with fun town and plenty of yummy restaurants within steps.

by joshua r. - Verified user on Jul 16, 2023
One of my favorite spots to stay. So deeply steeped in history.

by Scott P. - Verified user on Jul 14, 2023
Should only give 1 star so everyone doesn’t want to come here. Best place to stay in Kingston. 1st time visitors should take the time and visit the actual museum and check out the light house when they are running tours.

by Gena O. - Verified user on Jul 14, 2023
Floating docks are great. Love the museum. Enjoyed watching the rowing teams. Dockmaster doesn't respond to radio, so we tied up in one spot and had to move once the dockmaster arrived. He was very helpful once arrived. Facilities are close by and clean.

Always a great experience! Staff is great and accommodating!

by Tom L. - Verified user on Jul 10, 2023
Great marina. Good docks. Friendly staff. Very nice showers! Lot's to do in town, including the Maritime Museum, Trolley Museum, Catskill Railroad, shopping, and restaurants. Far enough from the bridge being sandblasted that there is minimal noise.

Always great staying at the museum.

Many many thanks to Jim for making our visit so enjoyable. He called us to let us know that a cancellation occurred leaving a place for us on Saturday night. We stayed two nights and may very well return. The Maritime Museum is very well done and maintained to the highest standard. We highly recommend a visit here.

Easy docking and a short walk to shopping and restaurants. Jim was very helpful. The shower and bathrooms are great!

The showers have a lot to e desired.

Nice tie up in front of the museum. Water was across a little waterway so we opted not to hook up. Electricity was good. Museum is interesting and cute. We ate at Ship to Shore and had a fantastic steak dinner! Very cute little town.

Had a great stay. Right near restaurants and stores. Free ad mission to museum an added bonus. Nice bath facilities.

People were great and helpful. But price does not reflect no water or sewer. Great food around town! Will stay again if we are through there.

Easy access, Good price and cute little town to stroll around. Great restaurants!

by Alain R. - Verified user on May 17, 2023
Easy docks. Good downtown location. Very nice local marine museum. Marina staff was nice enough to let us visit the museum even if it was closed that day.

Marvellous stop. The Maritime Museum is a must see. Great biking.

by Kyle W. - Verified user on May 12, 2023
What a lovely town with so many restaurants and cafes to chose from within a 5 minute walk. There are several museums in the town also (and of course the maritime museum admission comes free with the docking). There are also some nice trails (especially to the NE of the town on the old rail lines). Only negative is that there isn't a good grocery store in easy walking distance (but you can get a cab to the supermarkets just out of town)

by Bill R. - Verified user on May 11, 2023

Nice location, several good restaurants nearby. Enjoyed the museum. Well thought out and presented an interesting history. Could clean up their waterfront a bit and have a laundry.

by Rik H. - Verified user on Aug 09, 2022
Kinda wanta to say it was terrible so others stay away and I will always have spot, but I should not be selfish.

by Michael P. - Verified user on Jul 25, 2022
Great location if you can get in right near downtown and clean facilities

by Robert C. - Verified user on Jul 14, 2022

Great support at the marina and it is in a good location. Just FYI the rental car that is walking distance does not open past Saturday noon and it is closed on Sunday. This location has the train station to NYC nearby. I would return to this marina.

by Don M. - Verified user on Jul 07, 2022
Great stop, informative museum, helpful staff. My only complaint was the local restaurants were a little pricey.

by Mark L. - Verified user on Jul 03, 2022

It’s just a great place to stay and the museum is one that we really love.

by Robert B. - Verified user on Sep 14, 2020
Very nice facilities. John was very helpful getting us settled on the docks. And free admission to the museum was a bonus. We,'ll be back next season.

by Donald D. - Verified user on Aug 16, 2020
Nice people and the museum is always worth the visit. Only issue with COVID the Boaters Welcome Center is closed so the showers and bathrooms are unavailable. Not a big deal and the dockage fee goes to a good cause.

by Courtney B. - Verified user on Aug 15, 2020
Very nice and they don’t rob you, $2 a foot. Like the town too!

by Karen W. - Verified user on Jul 21, 2020
Easy access to slip but by the same token, absolutely no security. Nice girl from Museum came out to catch our lines, very nice of her. When I called yesterday, the guy on the phone might have mentioned he didn’t work on Sunday 🤡

Only 3 because everything is still closed. We have been here before. The museum is great. Take the trolley out to the point. Would be a 5

The Hudson River Maritime Museum is one of our favorite destinations while we cruise the Hudson River! The museum is a great attraction in its own right and the Kingston riverfront community offers great dining and shopping opportunities.

by Bill K. - Verified user on Aug 25, 2019
Another enjoyable visit, our second. The tie-along-side floating pier is solid, well-maintained. The new restroom in the boat shop is available 24/7; current shower is "rustic" but clean, roomy (and a new shower will be on-line soon). Museum is a treasure! Bus makes uptown "Stockade" area easily accessible; lots of history there. Also a good base from which to rent a car to visit other nearby attractions like Hyde Park mansions.

by Charles T. - Verified user on Jul 09, 2019
Museum is worth a visit during your stay - the models are amazing. Part of facility is under construction and will vastly improve shoreside restrooms and showers. This will upgrade our rating. Dockmaster was very experienced and helpful - one of the few dock people that could actually cleat a line.

by Peter c. - Verified user on Jun 24, 2019
Nice spot. Great staff, very friendly. Museum is worth an hour or two visit. Clean facilities, shower was old, so plan to use your boat.

by Jim S. on Jun 10, 2019
Nice stopping point, good facilities. Get to visit the museum as part of the cost - good museum. Restaurants nearby.

Great staff. Nice quite dock. Love it here

by Anonymous - Verified user on Jun 21, 2018
50A receptacle was too worn to hold the plug, so had to make do with a single 30A. Stubby posts instead of cleats on floating docks are difficult to use for tall boats - line angle risks pulling line up and off. Men's shower room could use an update. Otherwise, perfect location in town, and lots of interesting things to see in close proximity. Friendly staff.
