Nice people. Couldn't find the ball assigned to us, but they came out to find us a ball and helped us tie up due to the pendant on the ball assigned. Calm location though a bit noisy due to restaurant nearby

Great modest Club. Genuine New Yorkers with the most welcoming vibes. Beautiful, quiet mooring field providing access to Brooklyn and the entire city. Will definitely come back. Say hi to Josh for the full run down and Miramar experience.

Super friendly and a great stop if you want to visit Manhattan. No problem to get water on the dock and then back on the mooring. Shuttle if you don't have a dingy.

Launch guided me to my mooring. Friendly people on the dock. Tons of eating options nearby, and the neighborhood felt safe after dark. Best boating value in the NY City area by far!

Great harbor. Dave the manager, the folks we met and the Launch captains were very helpful and friendly. Location is right in the middle of restaurants, groceries and beverage shops. Perfect stop before going offshore around NJ and beyond.

Not enough stars to rate this Club!!
We picked up a ball on short notice (we were too big for the docks) and could not have been more pleased with the warm reception from the Club. The commodore himself, along with two other members, stopped their task of moving a boat through the yard and met us on the dock to help tie up for check in. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful; we felt like family and kinda hated to leave so we stayed an extra night. There is launch service included, which runs on demand between the mooring field and the docks. Showers are very clean; sailors lounge is roomy & comfortably furnished. Nothing fancy here but everything you need. Only disadvantage is that the subway station is about a mile away. Not a problem for us since we have bikes and thereâs a well defined bike lane plus we like to walk the neighborhoods. I mention this as it may be an issue for those w mobility concerns. Looking forward to returning in the fall.

This place is a perfect stop while visiting or passing through NYC. The yacht club members are lovely and welcoming. Showers are decent. The little grocery store right across the street is surprisingly well-equipped. Itâs a reasonable walk to the Sheepshead Bay train station to take the Q directly to Time Square. And you canât beat the price! This is definitely our place going forward, whenever we take our boat through New York.

We decided to stay in this marina on our way to Fire Island. We dock our boat in NYC but wanted to leave Thursday evening and sleep somewhere before making long trip on Friday. The marina is protected from the ocean, and only a 1-3 hour sail from the city. Beautiful to see so many sailboats all lined up. Great place to stop by whether youâre sailing to Long Island, coming from Long Island, or going up or down the East River or Hudson.

Great location about 25 min walk to the subway at sheepshead bay station.
Awesome small store across the street and an Aldi market about 15 min walk or so. Mooring was great! we will be back!

Very friendly peopleâstaff and members. Free launch service was very helpful. Great place to stay for access to Manhattan and Coney Island using the MYA bus and subway passes.

Really like the yacht club, the mooring was well spaced and with a double line very secured. Launch service easy and rapid. Josh is responsive and with nearby public transportation you can explore Brooklyn and Manhattan. For pumpout you will need to go to Shell Bank Creek where there is a state of NY free self service pumpout station.

Arrived for one day, stayed 4 in total. Great staff and very helpfull. Protected bay with close access to nice restaurants in walking distance. Take the bus/train and visit anywhere in New York. Had a great time, will be back on our way south.

A place for sailors by sailors! This club is a gem! After a few minutes talking with the members of that club, you will feel like one of the gang. For us, it was home away from home. We stayed at this club for 1 week. Take time to discuss with the members, they will make you discover New York from a new perspective, they will give you a lot of information on Brooklyn and all other boroughs of New York. We were formed to promote sailing and other forms of boating and we do so with gusto. Miramar Members are an eclectic bunch. We come from various places in New York City and the metropolitan New York area. We are from varied backgrounds and occupations. Most of us are sail boaters, some are power boaters. We are racers, day sailors and cruisers; and some of us are paddlers of various persuasions. We are fisherman and we are âfeastersâ â we love to barbecue, eat, and a good party.
Sun sparkling on the waves, a breeze in your sails, and an ocean full of fish ready to bite. Miramar Yacht Club specializes in facilitating these kinds of perfect days on the water, for which the club maintains a fleet of well maintained sail boats perfect for a range of sailors, from experienced to beginner. Once you return to the dock, spend a few hours relaxing by the pool or reading a book in the shade.
