The dock crew 5+ stars. The docks 5 stars. The bathrooms were old and obviously hadn’t been cleaned in ages so 2 stars. Yes, we all have been in worse but a daily cleaning would make all the difference. No one maintains them which is sad.

Well Managed Marina situated in the center of the Boardwalk area. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Docks in excellent condition and staff are excellent. Staying in the area for winter and would have loved to stay here but they shut water and pump out down in the marina for the winter. Forced to move to another marina that only shut things down for freeze events.

Marina Response:

Thanks for docking with us!

10/28/26 - Our second stay at Waterside. Great staff! Easy in and out. Excellent for larger boats. Easy access to restaurants and attractions. It seems that security might be an issue. We didn’t have any problems but the blue flashing mobile security camera trailer was a bit worrying. We will definitely stay again.

Marina Response:

Thanks for staying with us. The city has been experimenting with those cameras and moving them around to different locations in the city.

Great location, staff very helpful. A little tight maneuvering so arrive on early side for a bit more room.

Thanks for staying with us!

The dock team couldn’t be more accommodating or helpful. Nice modern docks and electric. A good wave wall to reduce wakes. And right in the heart of downtown Norfolk.

Marina Response:

Thank you Jason! It was a pleasure meeting you and hosting you this week. Safe travels this season, I hope we will see you in the spring. Take care, -James and the Team

Staff was available and responsive! Rest rooms and showers were very dated and far away. Great restaurants in the area and trail by the water for walking.

Marina Response:

Thank you for the great review, we hope to see you again!

Waterside is a great place to visit. The marina is great, and the personnel are knowledgeable and great to work with. The only problem is they need to get there electrical handled for each pedistal.
