Docked here for three months this winter- liked the Marina so much we are staying there again next year. The docks are great, great laundry facilities, showers, etc. The Marina is great dog walking, bike riding, and great walking paths including cool hiking paths in the woods. It’s close to good restaurants and good food shopping. What makes the Marina special is the staff. The entire crew is professional and fun to be around. We highly recommend this Marina.

Wonderful Marina and staff. Floating docks in great shape. Inside is well protected for passing boats. Outside is easy on and off the dock but there is a ferry that comes by every hour. However, small wake so it’s not a problem for most boats. Staff is friendly and very helpful. 3 restaurants on property. There is a park and bike trails close by.

The staff at the marina are great! Well protected marina, 2 great restaurants, free pumpout, reasonable priced fuel, all in all a great stay. We will be back next year.

We've stayed is a lot of marinas along the Gulf and East coasts, as well as the Bahamas and Caribbean. This is probably our favorite marina. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is hard to beat, with three restaurants on-site.

Tony and Rhett are extremely knowledgeable about local weather, current, fishing and anything else you would need to know, and operate the marina in a professional and friendly manner. The bathroom/shower/washing facilities are excellent and well maintained, and the team is always available to assist you on and off the dock, something that is necessary due to significant currents/tidal changes. A beautiful area, with great restaurants, walking paths and everything you can think of close by. We will return for a couple months late in the Spring as it is a gem of a place to stay.

All dock hands were great.Easy pull up at docks fueled, washed clothes ate at the Carolina Crab was excellent. Thank you for 2 nights because of storms. John the bartender at Carolina crab was great Double Trouble This Is Us Jim &Paulette

We've stopped off at HHI and stayed at Palmetto Bay Marina twice on the way down south. Their location is excellent, especially if you have access to a bike. HHI is a great biking island to get around. The facilities are well maintained and the free laundry is great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

The marina is clean and up to date. The staff assisted us docking. Upon departure, they were able to spin our boat to avoid backing up the boat 100 yards. Definitely recommend this marina

The good news: The marina is nice and there are several restaurants on site. The bathrooms are on the docks and are clean and well cared for. We took a walk outside of the marina and the surrounding area was beautiful with lots of trees and walking paths. It is a busy marina with many live-aboards, so there appears to be a vibrant social community. There is also a pump-out boat that will service you when requested. However, we were disappointed that there is a discounted rate advertised on dockwa, but it was not honored. We suggested that they take down the advertisement, but it is still there today. Additionally, the "slips" run parallel to the waterway. Consequently, there are a lot of catamarans who love this marina. The fairways are narrow and we were forced to back out down the fairway when leaving the marina because we were too long to turn around.

Dockhands are great at getting you tied up. In wind vs current. Then easily flipped us around next day to prepare for our departure. Publix is 1.5miles to provision. Great restaurants onsite. MV Arcadia

I really like the location of this marina. I've stayed here before and had great service however, this time was a little different. I booked a slip in advance with electric access. Where they put me had no access to electrical and the water access was too far away to accommodate the 100' hose I brought. So I got charged for electrical and didn't get any and couldn't flush my engine after using the boat. Still convenient location but definetly not a 4 or 5 star experience.

Jeffery, sorry to hear about the stay. We have initiated a refund for your electric that should process shortly. In regards to water, there is no where on our docks where a 100' hose wouldn't reach water access. Hope to see you back at Palmetto Bay in the future.

The crew and location were great! The only downside is the barnacle and algae growth rate. Come and leave during slack tide if you can.

We were greeted by Dock master Rex who was super friendly and completely capable with the lines. The Marina itself is clean, bathrooms were in great shape, docks were in very good condition. Restaurant was easily walkable and the food was great. We look forward to returning on our trip back up north.

Palmetto Bay Marina was so accommodating! Rented a slip for a 29’ Fountain and found them to be very easy to work with!

About Palmetto Bay Marina

Palmetto Bay Marina, featuring all new docks and amenities, offers boaters the safety, convenience, and comfort of a full-service marina on the warm Carolina coast. We're only 1/2 mile from the Intracoastal Waterway, located in the heart of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We can easily accommodate vessels up to 150+ feet.

We're excited to have completed our multi-phase restoration project at Palmetto Bay Marina. All of the facilities have been fully renovated including docks, wifi, integrated power supply, showers/restrooms, fueling stations, patio areas, and more. We’re seeing lots of boats from the loop this season making their way to the island for great weather and a slow-paced attitude.

Our location, tucked inland, provides 22 feet at low tide making an ideal stopover for larger vessels, sailboats, and catamarans. No height restrictions and wide hulls are welcome.
