Wes and the guys at the nashville municipal docks are always first class and extremely accommodating! Will continue to keep reserving dock spots with NMD.
Marina Response:
Thank you Connor! Enjoyed having here.

You need to be proactive and clear about the electrical limitations of the dock. My boat has had no issues at any other dock, and our home marina has new electrical as of 2025. When we arrived, the employees were friendly and helpful. Two other boat owners approached us right away to tell us that nobody has had any success with any of the electrical pedestals. Third hand information, but one of the owners was an electrician and tried to help the employees by taking the pedestals apart and troubleshooting. He confirmed that they were wired incorrectly. The boat they parked us next to was using the 50 amp service, but was running a generator as well because the shore power would trip before the load got anywhere near 50 amps. When I plugged into the 30 amp side as instructed, the breakers tripped within 30 seconds on the 50 amp and 30 amp sides. The employees were not surprised by this, and asked us to move two more times with current, wind, and traffic. Same result. When I asked if this was common, they said "Yes, and it has been for a long time. We've been telling the owners but they won't listen". I asked if it would be helpful for me to leave feedback, and they said it couldn't hurt but management hasn't acknowledged to them or other customers that a problem exists. We ran the noisy generator all day and night with exhaust spreading around the dock. I spent more on generator gas per night than the slip fee. If we would have known that it was almost certain we wouldn't have shore power, and every other boat at the dock was in the same situation, there's no way we would have gone 50 miles round trip to park there for the weekend. Despite this, they said there was no way to refund or discount the dock fee. This is fraud.
Marina Response:
Nick, Thanks for the details sir and apologies that your power did not work, power is an incredibly complex thing on these boats and at the municipal docks due to our 3 phase power. I would like to call out that we had multiple people at the dock all month long with no power issues. The specific issues you are dicusses is likely listed under the electrical section on our profile page stating 208AMP service. Your vessel being large and demending a significant load apparently did not have enough amps/voltage. 98% of the vessels that dock with us even large 60' searays do not have issues. At times some of these large vessels with 2-4 AC units will need to shut down one or two. This exact weekend their was a trident at the dock that did this exact thing and had no issues operating under the loads. We have annual inspections of the electrical and ours for 2026 is coming up so we will revert back if we were able to find anything specific that has changed from last year. Also, I think our dockmaster was referencing giving the management a call which is why he gave you our phone number to discuss and get feedback vs leaving a Star review, Maybe we can still have that call? I would of been happy to join you onsite to walk you through this and also ensure we gave you a proper refund. That is a training error on our part with our dockmasters and as been resolved so they know how to escalate anything properly! Best - Andrew O.

ANDREW and his crew were phenomenal. A 45 minute heads up text and his crew was waiting at the dock for our arrival. We spent four days at the Nashville dock and the service was outstanding!! The dock crew checked on us several times a day. We did take advantage of the ice delivery a few times, and it was always delivered with a smile. The crew was very knowledgeable about the area and able to answer any questions we had. In this new world service of this standard has gone to the wayside but, I would have to say, this crew knows how to treat their customers. Thank you for the memorable stay in Nashville. Until next time......
Marina Response:
Thank you Michael! Glad we can serve you and appreciat eyou visiting us. - Andrew

Great location and super nice people. Two big problems...the bathrooms are a disaster, we knew there were no showers, but we didn't know that homeless people had access to the facilities, even though there was a keypad on the doors (it was never locked). The other issue is the wakes from passing boats and tows can send you flying, they really should have n0-wake zones for that 1/4 of a mile. Still...it's the only game in town for Nashville...would go back for sure!
Marina Response:
Hi Jay, Thanks for sharing. we will share this again with Metro Parks as well. yes it is a public restroom, we agree on the frustration at times.

On my recent visit to Downtown Nashville, I contacted Lock One Marine for permission to dock our 52 ft Hatteras. The person explained exactly what I needed to do and help with my questions. It was so easy and such a pleasant experience. There was someone to help us tie secure our vessel. I haven’t dock downtown in the last 15 years. Plan a visit to see Nashville via the River and enjoy the experience.
Marina Response:
Thank you Linda!

It was my first time taking the jon boat down there and the dock was super accessible. Staff was friendly and helpful, and its a short walk across the pedestrian bridge and you're downtown.

Great location for nissian stadium and downtown Nashville.

GREAT Location, GREAT Dockmaster, always felt secure, no wake, and a short senic walk over the pedistrian bridge to Broadway St. Would be 5-Star if the Parks Dept would keep the bathrooms and elevator clean. A great destination/side trip, the Cumberland River is beautiful cruising and Nashville was fun!

The location for this marina is awesome for visiting Nashville, but there are no amenities. We had power, but no water. We never saw a person from the "marina" but they were quick to respond to a phone call or text. There is an obstruction under the bridge that we had been warned about. It is marked on the dock, but not in the water. There is a padlock on the gate that you access with a code. We never saw anyone strange on the dock, or had any problems from the pedestrian bridge above us. There is noise from Broadway Street across the river, but that is what we came here for!

Been downtown several times this year at Lock One. Always a great experience ( if only the Titans would win). The dock hands were helpful and the docks were secure. This facility is an asset to the city of Nashville and needs to be expanded! Ron A.
Marina Response:
Thank you! Titan up, I appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Hope to see you again soon.

We loved our stay at the Lock One Marina downtown Nashville. The staff amazingly helpful. They have treated for ants. No problems at all. The locking gate and night time security. We felt safe the entire visit. Very easy to cross the pedestrian bridge to visit downtown area. A must stay.

Good safe city dock if you want to be close to the football stadium and Broadway. Dock is one long pier able to accommodate larger boats. It has 50 amp power but no water hook ups.
Marina Response:
Hi Tim, Thanks so much for the kind words! Sorry if the no water was a surprise and a reason for the 4 stars. I'll try to find more places on our listing page to note that we do NOT have any water at the docks, so we can set that expectation for everyone. Thank you again for visiting with us!!

by Peyton W. on Oct 12, 2025
Everything was perfect!
Marina Response:
Thank you for being a great customer Peyton! We appreciate you visiting us!

We just stayed there five nights. Joe and Zach were very helpful and friendly. You can’t beat the location!! We planned for no water. I planned for the ants but forgot. I sprayed my lines, fenders and power cord just before the full attack started. The chain lock worked but it is not ideal. Did I mention how great the location is!! Don’t miss out on Nashville
Marina Response:
Thank you, Theodore! Great feedback. We have a great handle on the ant issue, and glad you didn't have any issues with that. Thanks for the kind words and for visiting us!

Gahan Haskins here. We were in Nashville for four days filming our documentary film, "Lost River World: The Eastern Legacy" on our sponsors Godfrey Sanpan boat. We interviewed dock master Joe, Captain Terry and many others. The Nashville riverfront is amazing. Amazing location. Lock One is great, but they need an upgraded gate lock!
Marina Response:
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a great review Gahan!

As stated in another review, the dock has ants, they climb the tie lines and into you boat. Its pretty bad.
Marina Response:
William, Sorry to hear that you had ants, we had addressed them all this past week as we started to see a few on the dock but was not aware you had issues. I wish you would have told us so we can assist! Again apologies but they have been and are regularly addressed on the dock via spray and preventative from coming downing the stiff arms.

LOA includes swim platforms, dingies, and pulpits that all extend past the vessel's length. ELECTRICAL: The dock has 5 pedestals with (2) 30 and (1) 50 Amp/208 GFI breakers per pedestal. Please ensure you are equipped with the latest grounding technology on your vessels, so as not to trip the breakers. Please note that electrical splitters may not be compatible, and we recommend putting in your direct connection requirement (i.e. if you have 2 - 30 amp cords, select dual 30 amp power)

Booking Info

Please review the attached "known obstruction" document to avoid dock issues. There is a known underwater obstruction between the bridge pier and the docks. All vessels with greater than 3' draft should avoid this area. Please avoid the water under the bridge as your running gear may not have clearance.

Please Note: Please use caution when entering the area of the dock on the East Bank. The area shown in red should be avoided by all vessels that draft more than 3' as there is a known obstruction in the vicinity of this area located under the bridge. The water both upstream and downstream is safe for dockage. Upon dockage, you will notice that the area in question is restricted with barricades.

Please avoid dockage on the downstream end of the East Bank. The perimeter of this area will be painted yellow. This space is permitted and utilized by a vessel that will load and unload passengers on a schedule for tours.
