Tristan was very helpful both with the docking and seeing picturesque St. Mary’s. It is a bit off the ICW but don’t let that dissuade you

Before we arrived, the marina contacted us for arrival instructions (a first on our travels). Once at the dock, the staff was great, helped us with any questions/concerns and gave us a golf cart ride around town. The marina has good depth, 18 feet at low tide. The marina owns a house nearby that is the restrooms/showers and lounge space. Walkable and very friendly town with local shops and restaurants. Highly recommended place to stop.

A great experience overall. Colin could not have been more helpful and forthcoming. He genuinely cared about our welfare and experience. I/we will absolutely be returning at the next opportunity. Scott Vinall

St Mary’s Marina is in great shape but is a small marina which is actually very nice. The guys who met us at the dock were professional and very friendly. After we were secure, one of them came back and gave us a golf cart tour of the little town and pointed out the best restaurants and other interesting shops around town. All very local and friendly. The marina office and lounge are in a small house near the docks and it’s very homey and had nice air conditioning!!! And wifi!!!

Super helpful staff even took us for a golfcart tour around town. Deep water at the docks made a nice change from some of the shallow marinas we'd stopped at along the way from the Keys. St Marys is a bit out of the way, but well worth the sidetrip from the AICW. The docks are an easy walk to the downtown.

Very nice staff and quiet place to stay for a few days. Will return if in the area.

definitely worth the visit on our loop trip. docks are new and fantastic. Bob and Colin are the friendliest most helpful staff we have met in the last 5000 miles. bob gave us a golf cart tour of the downtown and had great recommendations for things to do. there are some great bars and restaurants in town and a few museums to boot. note that the washrooms and laundry are in a house up the street that is a bit of a walk off property but not a big deal.

Great stop. Wish we had more time to enjoy the town. There was a lot going on and everyone was really friendly. It also gave us a good jump on crossing the inlet heading north the next morning.

Friendly staff, friendly town and a wonderful brand new marina facility that has plans for expansion. It is more than worth the 3 mile diversion up the St. Mary’s river to get here

Thanks for stopping by again Preston! Safe travels! Colin Redy - General Manager

What a special place St. Marys is. Dock manager, Colin, and assistants Bob and Tristan are wonderful ambassadors for the town. Upon arrival and departure we had two of them to help us get on and off the dock. The floating dock is in excellent condition. Power, water, courtesy bicycles, lounge (with wifi), and laundry were included in the fee. There is no wifi at the dock which would be an improvement the city could make. A grassy park area for walking dogs is immediately onshore. The accessibility of the adjacent historical town is unmatched. Sunrises and sunsets are amazing. This was one of our favorite stops on America's Great Loop.

The staff at St. Mary’s are helpful, friendly, efficient and informative. The docks are in great shape. Very dog friendly all around the town. The little town is like stepping back in time, immaculately maintained, historic and beautiful setting. We will be back .. worth the trip!

Bob and Colin went above and beyond to take care of us. They even called on the radio before I had the chance to check-in. Everything you need is well within walking distance. Publix and Amazon even deliver there within a day of ordering. We did the ferry to Cumberland Island, which is also right there. Factor in free laundry, and it's a hard combination to beat. It tends to get a little rock and rolly at the docks during the day due to the wind and current, but it usually settles down by evening, to nice calm conditions in the morning.
Marina Response:
Thank you for your five star review. I’m glad the wind died down for you! We look forward to seeing you again!! Colin Redy - General Manager

Easy in and out - Cumberland sound can be chopping in windy weather. Docking on the N-S portion of the dock can be a bit of a challenge when the wind and tide are working together. Dock hands are knowledgeable and assisted in landing. Local Yacht Club members and marina staff can provide short distance transportation for resupply trips. Cabs and Ride share options are very limited - so longer trips are a bit more challenging.

Cannot recommend this marina highly enough. Spotless docks, showers & whole cruisers area. Nothing too much trouble, Colin, Bob & Tristan are first rate. Colin took time & care when we arrived, when we left & his banana bread is excellent. Bob gave us a golf cart tour of the lovely little town on our arrival. Colin drove us to get our gas bottle filled. Free laundry & bicycles too. Everything perfect. Thank you guys!

Wonderful docks, lovely little town! Colin and Bob were very helpful with securing our lines and sharing information about the town. Bob even gave a historical tour on their golf cart! Free laundry in a new washer and dryer. Highly recommend for an overnight or two. Very close to the ferry dock if you want to visit Cumberland Island. We enjoyed a nice dinner, ice cream and live music within easy walking distance of the dock. And an added bonus was Colin’s wife’s delicious banana bread for breakfast during our stay!

Great little marina, very helpful staff, the town is Great and within easy walking distance. The marina staff took us on a quick tour of the town via golf cart which allowed us to pick a wonderful stop for refreshments. Electric ⚡️ is free which was a great bonus, we’ll be back! We returned to this marina on March 22, 2025 and stayed for two nights. Again, Colin and his staff were extremely accommodating, from checking our arrival time to posting a picture of the slip placement before we arrived. It still is a cute little town and we had a wonderful meal at Seagulls. Electric service and laundry is free! Highly recommend staying here especially if you are loopers as Colin gives AGLCA members discounts!

Outstanding experience. Colin really makes the marina and office as comfortable as possible. He goes above and beyond at the dock and with all the services. He even sends out periodic notes on restaurants, sights and bars—super helpful! I worked from home in one of the office rooms for a couple days and had everything I needed. Beautiful place, great people!

Incredibly friendly, clean, and pleasant. We were stuck here for a week waiting on and then replacing a faulty fuel line, and Colin, Bob, and Tristan were absolutely great to work with. Bob even gave me a ride and miniature tour of the town in one of the golf carts! Pump outs, water, bicycles, and laundry are all free; the yacht club is a small house across the green, very clean, and also has golf carts available for rent. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
