Snug little harbor if you need a place to tuck in. It’s a ways up the well marked channel and best to have the current with you as it can run over a knot. The town is touristy but found an excellent dinner at Salt.

Great service by phone in setting things up, good mooring (easy to find, minimal slime, had a pennant buoy) and was close to shore (though full disclosure, we didn't go in as we were late in/early out for our trip). A bit of noise from the shoreline live music, but hey, it was a Saturday night and so it goes. Would certainly stay again.

We had a nice night in Plymouth Harbor. The Harbormaster's office was very helpful and the location was great as well as the launch service!

We stayed for two nights on one of Plymouth Harbor's well protected transient moorings. The Harbor Master manages these moorings and were extremely responsive and helpful. They even called to ask our intentions during TS Elsa.

Really nice stay. We were given a mooring well inside the morning area. Excellent protection & easy short dink ride to the dock. All good

by dancolwell on Jul 07, 2021
Great stay. Harbormaster was particularly helpful. Clean facilities.

Plymouth Harbor is a nicely protected quiet harbor. The Harbormaster was very hospitable and helpful on our initial radio transmission. They went above and beyond finding us a mooring for the 4th of July weekend, with your mooring comes unlimited use of the harbor launch which is not an added expense. They have done a lot of upgrades to the harbor and the area surrounding and you can see it. I highly recommend a stay in the Historic Harbor where the Pilgrims sailed to in 1620. Can’t say enough good things about the whole Harbormaster staff as they have to be the most helpful of any I have encountered in my travels. Alway love to return to Plymouth

Great location - T/O Plymouth is alive and well, great food and drink to please all and the moorings are in the perfect location. Free shuttle to and from the mooring is awesome!

by gemaoc on Jul 04, 2021
Due to the bad weather we never travled to Plymouth. But we will plan on staying another time.

Nice Harbor master led us to our mooring on the edge of the fishing boat mooring field. Clearly marked channel coming in. Fishing boats fired up engines at 4 am. Town docks are rough and worrisome for inflatable dinghy. Many restaurants in town.

by heidipetrowicz on Jun 21, 2021
The guys at the Plymouth Harbormaster could not be any nicer! I called in to see if they had an open mooring for the night and explained that I was solo on my 20’ sailboat and this was my first trip into Harbor (ANY harbor). They sent me an escort to bring me to the mooring, showed me to the dinghy docks and made sure I was safe and all questions were answered. I had an amazing experience for my first harbor mission.

Fantastic staff, thanks for the pump out!

by captaground on Jun 02, 2021
Great mooring inside the seawall. The Plymouth Harbormaster and crew were very helpful and a pleasure to communicate with. They were readily available and answered all our questions. Dinghy dock. Easy access to restaurants and historic sites. Highly recommended.

One of the best mooring experiences I have enjoyed over the years of sailing (and now power boating). No slips were available for Labor Day weekend and so we needed to find a mooring on the south shore. When Dockwa avowed no availability, the Plymouth Harbormaster helped us to secure a mooring that was just yards away from the launch dock. The mooring pendant was big enough to hold a battleship (and clean of slime), and the nicest surprise was that there was no charge for the launch service. We plan to visit again frequently in the future.

Sailing Catamaran - 44' X 25' X 4' We planned to drop the hook here and an advance call to the Harbor Master gave us good info about the only two places to do it - marked "Plymouth Harbor" and "Cowyard" on Active Captain. For the $67.50/day flat rate, we decided to tie up to Ball #1 for a short dinghy ride into town, but a few boats were anchored in the Plymouth Harbor anchorage. It's very calm and protected in the harbor. RESERVING A BALL: Reservations were easy on Dockwa, and the resulting emails provided good info. Call the Harbor Master when you arrive, and he'll talk you right into your ball. The mooring field is snug, with most of the occupants fishing boats or recreational speed boats. Transient balls have a tall orange flag on a float at the end of the painter, so they're easy to grab from the front of your boat without a boat hook. DINGHY DOCKS: The tide here is big - around 11 feet. If you use the dinghy dock at the Town Wharf (near Woods Seafood), pay attention to the tide. After a short trip into town, I wound up killing an hour or so at the nearby pub waiting for my dinghy to float free of the surrounding mud. There is also a public dinghy dock right next to the Mayflower II. PROVISIONING: Stop & Shop is cheaper than Mayflower Provisioning for food, but the latter has booze, so there's that. Both are a long walk for a short Uber from the wharf area. Everyone was very friendly here, and we enjoyed our stay!

The mooring was quite close to town and the dinghy dock Unfortunately we docked our dinghy , went to breakfast Upon our return the tide had gone out leaving our dinghy quite land locked ( in mud) 2 staff from the Dockmaster’s went WAY ABOVE the call and actually lifted our dinghy and motor out of the mud , over the dock and back onto the water !!!! saved us our day for getting to the cape cod Canal CUDOS to the 2 young men for their help !

Our stay was amazing. Harbormasters office was very helpful. Mooring location was perfect.

by evpier on Aug 16, 2020
Launch very friendly and accommodating, office contact efficient friendly and welcoming. Town is tourist full for the situation but vast majority are masked.

by red523 on Aug 11, 2020
Great place to visit, lots of restaurants/shops within walking distance of harbor - the emails you get from the HM have some missing/incorrect info. I think they just haven't been upated in a while, so.... First, CALL or radio the harbormaster to get your mooring assignment, Second, the launch is included in your mooring fee (according to the launch driver) Third, Alden Park restaurant is NOT a 10 minute walk. Once they update their emailed info, they get 5 stars. (And it looks like in the near future they will have transient facilities, too)

by brook286 on Aug 10, 2020
Super convenient. Will do this as often as we can.

by cheryl2hilk on Aug 07, 2020
The location was great - our mooring ball was close to the Harbormaster office and close to the tender dock. However, for $67.50, there were really no facilities. Very helpful emails ahead of our arrival and after our arrival. Easy approach. Good instructions on how to get to our mooring. Great place to walk around and get seafood. Would come back.

The Plymouth Harbormaster crew does an amazing job. As a Plymouth resident, in a long time boater, I have such respect for what these people do every day. From support at the state boat ramp, ensuring the safety of everyone out on the water, and being so very accommodating when it comes to mooring reservations, especially in these uncertain times. They deserve ten stars, But this app will only allow me five!

by dbroadbent on Jul 12, 2020
Large & clean moorings. Excellent launch service. Unfortunately, the expected shower and laundry facilities were not completed, due to delays related to COVID-19. Pump out boat was available only on Monday & Friday.

by gmyette on Aug 27, 2019
Very nice lots of activities and great food

by jeminwy on Aug 27, 2019
Harbor Master was responsive and assisted in finding the mooring in a large field. Lots of spots for dinghy tie up. Great town.

by zlaxref on Aug 27, 2019
our stay at Plymouth this year could not have been any better. The launch, Maverick, was great. The people on Dockwa from your office were perfect. They even checked in the morning to see if everything was OK. They even asked us if we wanted to move our mooring in closer because of the east wind. Our stay could not have been better. Thanks very much!!
Marina Response:
Thanks for your review it couldn’t have been timed any better. We are pleased to announce that we just received a one million dollar grant to build a new Maritime Facility. It will have showers and laundry for transient boaters. We expect construction to begin November 2018. We have also just received notice that dredging will take place over the next two winters first the channel will be done then the mooring field the following year. We will be working on remapping the mooring field and moving the moorings in. We have been working on these projects for some time and it’s great to have the need confirmed that we’re heading in the right direction.

by eastcoaster on Aug 23, 2019
The reservation confirmation was sent without a mooring number. Called the harbourmaster and got the number and directions to the mooring ball. The town is nice, but we struggled to find a place to eat because we had our dog with us. There was no place to get groceries nearby. Staff were very friendly and there is a tourist information center just across the street from the dock. Very sheltered harbor. Lots of fishermen getting up early so best to imitate them.

by kchace on Aug 18, 2019
Great snug harbor. Easy in and out. Some loud music from shoreside venues till pretty late but all in all a great place to visit.

by bmiccio on Aug 11, 2019
Excellent staff, Very helpful!!!

by emarcaccio on Aug 09, 2019
Easy access to town Dingy dock crowded but workable Easy to refuel

by neezo61 on Aug 06, 2019
Great stay in Plymouth. Harbormaster and staff were very professional and Plymouth is a great port to dock. We will be back.

by jabbo on Aug 02, 2019
Great harbormaster who was very flexible with us when we had to stay longer on mooring to have a repair. Close into town, lots of dingy docks and pumpout boat readily available.

by joethesailor on Jul 25, 2019
Hail on VHF16, they will move you to a working channel (probably 12). Launch service is a private company on VHF9. As of 2019 it was $5 per person for the day, and they were running until 10pm on a tuesday. They said they were dredging the mooring field in Sept 2019 and all boats had to be out. No Showers; sounds like they are building a facility for future years though. Very protected behind the seawall.

by jmillian on Jul 16, 2019
Perfect mooring, weather a ten, no boat issues. Gorgeous sunset after a drink on porch of Plymouth Yacht Club overlooking harbor. Couldnt ask for better stay.

by sailorjoe on Jul 07, 2019
Great harbor and a fun walking at town at the end of the dock. Diesel, gas and water with east access.

by cathy324 on Sep 10, 2018
We had a great time, Chad (Harbormaster) fulfilled our request...

by jeff111 on Sep 08, 2018
Bare bones (no on-shore facilities offered but I think there are some by the Mayflower Museum) but well-placed moorings at 55% the cost of the YC. The launch service is a tad expensive but prompt and helpful.

by rmcderm313 on Aug 27, 2018
Great stay, we were on mooring #5. Actually someone had overstayed on #5 so the harbormaster put us on a mooring in front of it. The HM was super attentive. The communication through the Dockwa app prior to our stay was outstanding. Be aware that the lightning launch is separate. From #5 it was $7 per person round trip. I'm pretty sure we could have negotiated a better daily rate if we needed more frequent trips, but we just did 2. Worked out great. I can't speak to the moorings out by the breakwater. I'm sure given the boat traffic you would get tossed around out there but #5 was great. We hung out on deck and listened to the band on-shore. There is plenty to do in Plymouth Harbor, great bars and food. There are no shower facilities at this time but for a one night stay it was fine. At $37 the price is right. I really can't say enough about the communication from the Harbor Masters office. They really make you feel like they want you there. Know what you're getting and not getting and plan accordingly and you will enjoy your stay.

by hehawboy on Aug 26, 2018
great !!! had a good time easy mooring to get too. and would like to thank the harbor masters for all their hard work Great job to all !!!

by rlindblom on Aug 20, 2018
Stay was easy. Paying ahead of time through Dockwa was certainly convenient.

by jsushelsky on Aug 18, 2018
Excellent service from fuel vendors, responsive Harbormaster office, courtesies all around. Engaging Town and good restaurants. Look forward to the next visit.

by joeapicella on Aug 08, 2018
Great location, friendly dock hands, lots do and see in Plymouth

by rov1gh65 on Aug 08, 2018
Well-sheltered mooring field, reasonable rates, fuel at the harbormaster's location. Just beware of a lot of commercial traffic in the area.

by snowisgr8 on Jul 30, 2018
Great harbor. Lots of action around the docks. Many great restaurants and bars close by. It is a little noisey because of live outdoor music until 12:30 on weekends though, but didn't bother us.

by joshwarrun on Jul 21, 2018
We have stayed in Plymouth Harbor in the past, ant it’s always been 5-Stars. Last night we had the mooring closest to the No Wake Zone. It was a few feet outside of the channel, and only a few feet from the No Wake Zone marker. This season, the No Wake Zone market was switched from a large floating dock with a big sign, to a smaller buoy. Needless to say, boaters don’t pay as much attention to the small buoy as they did the big dock. Mooring that close to the start of the No Wake Zone made for a very rough night for our three-year-old. There a number of real wahoos that flew past us. We got tossed.

by sallylightfoot on Jun 16, 2018
Good location and nice people

by pmamidon on Jun 12, 2018
Municipal staff was great, location was convenient. Only negatives were the mooring line was very gross with slimy marine growth and wakes from go fast boats that didn’t slow down.

by seachest2011 on Oct 27, 2017
The Plymouth Harbormasters could not have been nicer or more supportive. We are traveling late in the season, so many services are not available, but they provided a pump out service and water. The town mooring (#5) was perfect throughout our four night stay while waiting for better weather and calm seas.

Great Harbor to spend some time in! Helpful Harbor Master and crew.
