We had a great stay in Plymouth. The mooring was a bit hard to find, but after grabbing one we called and were informed that it would work for our vessel and we were good to go. The shower/bathroom facilities seem brand new and were great. Staff were friendly over the radio and phone.

Nice harbor, but hard for me to comment otherwise since we did not go ashore. We were assigned mooring #12, but we were never able to find any numbers on the moorings and just picked up an open one which based on the mooring map was probably 11 or 12. Lower numbers appear to be closer to the finger float popular with the cormorants so I would try to avoid those.

Steamed down from Quincy and stayed 2 nights in the mooring field for the Green Harbor Tuna Tournament. Excellent access to Stellwagon and CCB. The towns waterfront infrastructure was top notch. Can’t wait for next year!

Great moorings, super nice and responsive dock master's office. Stayed with them few times and looking forward to many more in the future. Alex W. / Serenity

Stayed twice in the past 2 weeks and both times they were very accomodating. In fact, the first week we arrived in a terrible squall with minimal visibility and discovered the harbormaster had been monitoring our AIS signal when he came part of the way out the channel to meet us nad help guide us in. Much appreciated!!

Just stopped here overnight mid-trip. VERY helpful and friendly harbormaster team. They sent a RIB out to show us our mooring without even being asked to. The facilities look brand spankin’ new, though we didn’t go inside at all.
One comment I would make is that you’ll want to close your hatch. There are a LOT of lobster boats here and they’re anll very active at 4am (which is typical, as we all know). Surprisingly the only issue was noise - there were zero wakes. They’re working and so no complaints on that - just a note to consider keeping your hatches closed for sleeping.
Will 100% come back, and next time will stay longer. Beautiful area and very friendly locals!

our stay at Plymouth this year could not have been any better. The launch, Maverick, was great. The people on Dockwa from your office were perfect. They even checked in the morning to see if everything was OK. They even asked us if we wanted to move our mooring in closer because of the east wind. Our stay could not have been better. Thanks very much!!
Marina Response:
Thanks for your review it couldn’t have been timed any better. We are pleased to announce that we just received a one million dollar grant to build a new Maritime Facility. It will have showers and laundry for transient boaters. We expect construction to begin November 2018.
We have also just received notice that dredging will take place over the next two winters first the channel will be done then the mooring field the following year. We will be working on remapping the mooring field and moving the moorings in.
We have been working on these projects for some time and it’s great to have the need confirmed that we’re heading in the right direction.by Mervin K. - Verified user on Aug 13, 2024

Very helpful launch driver. Good showers. Experienced a minor mixup in mooring assignment on arrival but it was eventually resolved by the harbormaster.

The harbormasters are the friendliest and seem to always be on site to offer assistance when needed.

We stay in Plymouth a fair amount, but this was our first time on a Town mooring. The mooring field is well laid out and there is even a map online. We had a minor mixup finding our mooring but the harbormaster was very responsive on VHF and quickly resolved our problem. Unfortunately, there was a floating dock next to our mooring which had become a roosting place for birds. We woke up the next morning to find our boat completely covered in bird poo and had to spend an hour washing it down (with salt water). It was disgusting. Never happened before. Easy access to town and plenty of places to park the dinghy. We didn't use any of the town facilities (showers, etc), so can't comment on that. I would book a spot here again, but absolutely nowhere near that floating dock!

Service and amenities were top notch. Wish we could have stayed longer but hurricane Lee had other plans.
We'll be back.
1 year layer and we came back. Even better than last year. They communicate extremely well with professionalism. The bathrooms are clean, and they have laundry. So much history and things to do. Forefathers national monument is a must see.

Here’s the “Good, Bad, and Ugly” of our stay.
The Good - The moorings are rigged to hold the Queen Mary and they are protected with foam edging it assure that your hull won’t be scratched. The staff is efficient, pleasant, and eager to help.
The Bad - The trip into the mooring is long and circuitous.
The Ugly - This was our second stay and a replay of the first. There are some Cormorants that just love to light on the boats spreaders and unload the results of their latest fishing expedition, after it was digested, of course. Not just once, but twice, until we posted a person in the cockpit to ward them off, right up until dark. What a stinking mess they made.
Of course the Cormorants are not caused by Plymouth, but I did want to send out a word to the wise, since it happened, both times we have stayed there.

Safe area to duck into and plenty of restaurants and attractions. It was not the best in terms of assistance and information on the mooring field or the facilities.
