We were on a mooring ball for a couple of days. Marina was responsive as we arrived in the harbor and were trying to locate our assigned ball. Very accommodating. Maritime center is a nice amenity for boaters as well as the public dinghy docks.

Using Dockwa for Old port mooring was perfect! Knowing you have a mooring on arrival! The launch drive was excellent put us on a mooring dock with our friends boat! We will be using Dockwa more often!! Boat DonnaJean

Stayed on one of their moorings in Newport Harbor. Beautiful harbor with cityscape and boats galore. Oldport described the mooring assignment location when we arrived in the harbor and called them on the radio. But to my inexperienced eye, the mooring numbering is unfathomable. After a few minutes of driving around looking for the mooring, and getting in the general area by asking a harbormaster in a boat, Oldport followed up by calling me on the radio and assisted with showing me the mooring with one of their launches. This whole thing only took about 15 minutes. We used their launches a couple of times on the first day of our stay and the operators are very responsive and friendly. The rest of the stay (3 nights) we dinghied to a couple of the Town dinghy docks, when going ashore. Whether dinghy or launch, both work great. I loved mooring here compared to a noisy slip at a busy marina.

We loved our stay in Newport on a mooring at Oldport Marine services. Launch service was great, very Quick to respond and we never waited long at the dock when returning to our boat. Bannisters Wharf is right there, very dog friendly, easy access to restaurants and shopping. Will definitely return!

Their moorings are in a great location between the dinghy docks at the Newport Maritime Center and Perotti Park. If you don't want to use your dinghy their launch dock is between Bannister's Wharf and The Moorings restaurant so your always just minutes away from the heart of Newport. Best of all is you can reserve in advance now that they're on Dockwa!!

Perfect spot, fantastic launch service, great staff and easy to navigate. Our mooring lines were in great condition. Very quiet harbor in the morning. Will be back!

Excellent customer service. Dockwa is a great addition for OldPort. Rather than the launch drivers still trying to juggle so many different things at once, the Dockwa system is very user friendly to boaters for mooring assignment. Kudos to OldPort for making the change from frenetic fist-come, first-served approach. Thanks,

It's just a mooring ball. No facilities, no launch included. They don't supply any information about facilities in Newport unless you call and ask. It would have been helpful if they told us about the marine center at Ann Street and we didn't have to discover it on our last day there. You would think a Newport maritime business would be more helpful to cruisers.

Oldport was very easy to work with. We arrived early & they were able to accommodate us quickly. Also, whenever we needed a ride, they were quick to pick us up or drop us off. The office also communicated well regarding this process & gave contact info if anything else was needed.

Easy process from start to finish, finding the ball was simple, and pick up / drop off was prompt.
Only complaint was one of the launch drivers (day shift) was extremely arrogant to one of my guests regarding the tip received, telling her he should be paid more than a bartender for his work. Mind you it was $10 for $8 in rides, and we were less than a minute from the launch dock.

Oldport Marine is always very helpful directing us to the assigned mooring. The launch drivers do an excellent job making sure we find the correct mooring.

We've used Oldport for mooring stays for several years now. They recognize us and would accommodate us as best they could with their first come/first serve policy.
With Dockwa, we can now make reservations...this is GREAT and this past weeks visit was terrific. We've already made future plans and will in the coming seasons.!

Update-UPDATE: another great '24 Memorial Day wkend! They ordered/supplied great weather for us right up to the pea-soup fog Monday morning...haha. Only Kidding!! Same Great Service...just hope they will continue to fit us in!! But we are booked for next Labor Day already!! Keep up the great service!!!

- All moorings are set in their current positions at the direction of the Newport Harbormaster. On the occasion of shifting winds, storm conditions, and/or current and tide changes, vessels may swing and make contact, or mooring anchors may drag. Oldport Marine will not be held responsible for such collisions.
- Renter will be responsible for securing all roller reefing jibs before leaving vessel unattended. Renter will be responsible for insuring that chafing gear is properly located and secured. Oldport Marine does not assume care, custody, or control of Renter's boat or pennant.
- Oldport Marine is not responsible for damage caused by the Renter's Mooring Buoy or adjacent mooring buoys.
- Oldport Marine is not responsible for pennant failure due to chafing.
- It is understood that while Oldport Marine has made every effort to provide a safe mooring, there has been no warranty or representation by Oldport Marine of the fitness of the facilities for the use for which they were designed and intended. The Renter agrees that Oldport Marine is not responsible for any injury or damage, or loss of equipment, to the vessel, lessee or his guests, from whatever cause. The Renter further agrees to save harmless, protect, and indemnify Lessor from and against any and all loss, costs, damage, claims suits, actions at law and judgments, including attorney’s fees, which may arise or grow out of any injury to, or death of, person, damages to property, any other matter or thing, caused by acts of God, fire, windstorm, explosion, flood, burglary, theft, or by any other casualty. Oldport Marine reserves the right at any point to terminate Renter's stay. In the event of storm watches or warnings issued by the National Weather Service with conditions of sustained winds of 50 MPH or higher in Narragansett Bay, Oldport Marine requires owners to remove their vessels from moorings. Our moorings will accommodate up to 65' vessels. Vessels over 65' must call the Newport Harbormaster on VHF ch 16. Launch service is not included in the transient mooring fee. Main Harbor & Brenton Cove : $4 per person each way Point Section : $4 per person each way Seasonal Launch Pass : $700 for private vessels
