City run, big marina, but great access and Coconut Grove is definitely "the spot" if you want a real Miami experience. If you can get a spot, highly recommend a short stay here. Moorings come up on occasion, do stay on the waitlist!

It is a great location to explore Coconut Grove. There are tons of shops, restaurants, and parks all within walking distance to the marina. The bathhouses are big and clean and they have great laundry facilities. Staff very helpful in office. They also can accept packages for you. It is a huge marina and as first time visitor, would appreciate easier access to a marina map before we arrived to make it easier to find our slip and navigate the basin as staff weren’t available when we pulled in to tie us up.

About Dinner Key Marina

HURRICANE IRMA UPDATE (December 2017): Due to severe damages cause by Hurricane Irma, we will not be able to take any transient reservations until we can reconstruct the marina.

The City of Miami owns and operates 4 conveniently located marine facilities.

Dinner Key Marina, our flagship facility, is located just south of downtown, in historic Coconut Grove. The 582 slip marina (Florida's argest wet slip marine facility) provides modern comfortable berthing accommodations in a park-like setting to transient, long-term, and commercial dockage liveaboard customers at very reasonable rates.

Dinner Key originally served as base of operations for Pan American Airway's famed flying boats, the Clippers, and plenty of history has been retained in the area. The original Pan Am terminal building (next door to Dinner Key Marina) now serves as Miami City Hall, although it has retained its historic charm. Nearby is Villa Vizcaya, former home of International Harvester founder James Deering and now a public museum. A short walk from the marina lands you in the heart of Coconut Grove village, where you'll find a fashionable retail and entertainment district, along with the world renowned CocoWalk.
