Newburyport Municipal Docks

Great Municipal Dock area!

Right in the heart of town. Easy tie up and water and electricity. Nice free laundry. Clean showers. Only down side was sort of a public location with no security and no WiFi. Would stay again.

Biggest problem is that bathrooms, even though only accessible with a code provided to boaters, are locked at 7pm. So from 7pm to 7am, you cannot use the shore-based facilities. They are locked with a code at all times, so why would the door automatically disable the code-access at 7pm? Also, nothing prior to, or after reservation was accepted, said that the dockmaster leaves at 6pm. Was not really a problem for us, since we do not need docking help, but it would have been nice to no before the day of when the harbormaster called. On that note, she was very pleasant and provided us with all the info we needed. These 2 things were NOT made clear on the Dockwa site at booking. I realize it's after Labor Day, but the season is not over!

We fully enjoyed our 6 nights on a mooring ball in Newburyport. The currents are pretty high so arrive close to slack. The dinghy dock is fully protected from the currents so easy to get ashore as needed. The staff is exceptional in this marina. The harbormaster boat saw we were coming in and guided us to our mooring. The staff even picked up our electric bikes at our boat and brought them ashore, and found us a place to store them for the week so we had them available for use daily. Above and beyond what we expected, we had a great visit.

The harbor master staff are great. We arrived late and they stayed over to pump our our black water tanks.

Being on the dock right in downtown Newburyport is wonderful! Clean facilities and very close to the shops and restaurants. There is a great walking path along the river.

The Harbormaster’s office was very helpful with directing us to our mooring & recommendations for local restaurants. Mooring was close to dinghy dock & town. Would highly recommend staying here!

The mooring was easy to pick up because they have a foam noodle holding the line up so it doesn’t get tangled around the mooring ball. Harbormaster was helpful in pointing it out to us. The channel is not marked correctly in Navionics. We followed the buoys and didn’t see less than 16 feet at high tide. Shower facilities were nice and there was a washer and dryer! The people in the harbormaster office were helpful and friendly. Cute town too! Great sandwiches at Port City Sandwich Co

Great town marina located steps away from beautiful downtown Newburyport. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (shout out to Lydia and Maryann!), and the facilities were very nice (with free use of washers & dryers!). We will be back!
