Convenient marina, right in town. Easy in/out face dock. Great dockmaster. Try and arrive around slack current as current can be high at the dock.

First time in Newburyport by boat. We had a calm day so the river entry was easy. Loved the mooring #4 right adjacent to the dinghy dock. The waterfront and the Town are fantastic. Fuel easily available across the river. The pumpout boat is only available Friday, Saturday, Sunday but there is an easy to use unit on the dock next to the fishing pier/boat ramp just up the river past the old railroad bridge on the west side of the river. Excellent walking path. We will spend multiple nights here next time!

We had great service from the harbormaster that drove out to breakwater and lead us in due to shifting sands and heavy currents. Dock is new and long with many power posts but only one 100amp connection. One the prettiest towns and great walking trails on harborside. Suggest slack tide and high tide for bigger boats.

Always a great time. The dock hands are fantastic, always there for you if you need a hand. The office folks are above and beyond helpful and truly made our trip enjoyable. Clean and modern facilities right in the middle of town. Thank you for a great trip. We will be back!

Very nice young men handling the lines for us. Clean nice facility with free laundry and clean restrooms with showers. Water and electric on the dock. Downside was the swift current that you have to deal with.

Staff is freindly and helpful. Dockage is easy on/off and in great shape.the only downside and reason for the 4 stars is the shower facilities are posted as open 7a - 7p. We were on a tight schedule and needed to leave by 8. We waited and kept trying the key code untill 7:20 and gave up at that point. The office is open M, W, F-Sun. Today is Tues. I would have thought the keypad would be on a timer, but possibly only open when the office is open? You might want to check.

Docks is central to everything you’d like to walk to. Boater facilities were clean and easy to access. Henry, our dock hand, was super. Everyone talks about the current in the Merrimack River, These docks are easy on and off, not a slip, which are definitely harder to navigate. We will be returning here later in the summer!

This is a beautiful town with an excellent floating dock. Everybody was friendly and everything worked perfectly. It is a long face dock with without actual slips, so you’re just grab a place wherever you fit. We came early in the season, so we had the whole dock to ourselves. Walking distance to all sorts of great little restaurants and shops. Time your entrance carefully - the currents in this inlet are no joke! at one point our 8 kn boat was moving at 2.2 kn in the inlet on the way here. The strong current on our nose actually made docking very easy, but I wouldn’t want to do it on the incoming tide. Getting turned around would be an adventure.

The moorings at the Newburyport Municipal Docks are always amazing. Everyone there so helpful and accommodating whenever we stay there. And you can't beat the access it provides to the heart of the waterfront and all its has to offer - even off season!

Very pleasant stay in a great town! Docks are in great condition and couldn’t be in a better location. It does get busy on weekends so lots of people looking at you and asking questions so maybe not your scene if you don’t enjoy that type of interaction. We were cruising with our dog and had the harbor park and walk trail right at our doorstep to explore!
