Great stay we had guests coming and then departing after a small remembrance of a fallen friend the marina was extremely helpful and gracious to me and my guests they located us right at the base of the gangway easy on easy off dock hand (Henry) top shelf thanks for making it a very smooth trip JT

Very nice stop. Courteous staff, terrific location right in town and nice linear dock. Plan your arrival at slack tide due to currents on the Merrimack.

Newburyport Municipal Docks are amazing! They are beautifully laid out abutting the boardwalk and steps from shopping. Dock hands Matt, Alex and Greg were super nice and helpful.

It was our first overnight trip and a short one, but the dock amenities were clean and plentiful especially for a municipal dock. Newburyport has so much to offer for food and shops, etc., within a short walking distance.

Spent 2 very nice days at this municipal dock. It’s one long face dock and seems very busy. It fronts on a large city park that is busy all day and into the evening. The local folks we met were extremely friendly. The docks and power pedestals seem new and are in great condition. The harbormaster was extremely helpful when we arrived and ensured we tied up to face the ebb currents which are strong. The heads and showers can be a long walk if you’re tied to the upstream end of the dock. The showers are adequate but only available from 7 AM to 7 PM. There’s a free laundry in the same facility. There are enough interesting restaurants nearby that you could stay for a couple weeks, eat out every night and never eat at the same place twice. Newburyport is a fine little city.

Amazing stay. The dockhands couldn’t have been nicer. We had a little family emergency and needed to stay another night and they gladly work with us to allow us to extend our stay . We are so appreciative . Beautiful docks right in the heart of the city. Will definitely return !

docks are great....right in town! lots of current coming in so keep that in mind

Moorings are just outside harbormaster office. Bit noisy, congested and next to all the boat traffic. Facilities were very nice (showers, toilets, free laundry). Location is perfect and everything you need is a walkable distance. The current is no joke! Plan your entrance and departure according to the tides!

Loved Newburyport! Great docks and nice staff, laundry room was nice too, calm harbor at night but boat traffic during day can rock the boat. Great restaurants nearby. One of our favorite stops from Florida to Maine.

These are by far the best municipal docks I have stayed at. The dockhand are attentive, the harbor master helped me with delivery of packages and other matters, and the town is an absolute delight. We stayed extra days and rented a car and visited Salem. Can’t say enough about the docks and this town.
