Watchhill is a hidden gem! A great vacation spot for boaters and campers. The staff are all attentive and do a great job with the Marina, store, and the food truck and bar under the tent. Live music during daytime on weekends and DJ Saturday nights are great! Friends of Watchhill sponsor events throughout the summer. Looking forward to Simmer 2024!!

This is our second season but the first time we had an issue, our BBQ regulator valve was stolen from us . A couple other people also had propane tanks stolen from them. The place is beautiful but LOCK UP your personal property. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The marina is great, assistance with docking is available if requested. Live music by two DJs was super and the give aways on Sunday nights could not be better. The management did a great job this past weekend.

A nice quiet beach, with friendly staff and rangers. The food truck that has great food options and a bar and often live music. The bathrooms are clean, but the showers could be updated.
Marina Response:
James, thank you for the review. Unfortunately we are not in control of the shower situation but letters to your Federal Parks Dept located in Patchouge may get solar water heaters talked about. Thank you, Dockmaster/Asst. GM Steve Pfeufer

It would be helpful if the Dockwa site showed 2023 rates instead of 2022 rates. Also, on the Watch hill site, it shows the cancellation policy for Sailor’s haven. The ineptitude of the Federal Government remains apparent since as of earlier this week the remains of the burned down restaurant show no signs of restoration or effective site clearing. I affirm the following: Watch Hill during the week is calm and peaceful. While the food truck in the sand is a surprisingly good choice, it's a shame that the Federal Government has been so lax in doing anything with the burned down restaurant space. It's an eyesore. The only minor complaint is that the Wi-Fi service is spotty at best, and the signal is not very strong. In an era that is so Wi-Fi dependent, they would best if the service was upgraded, since cell service and non-marina Wi-Fi is non-existent. The staff remain wonderful. Update October 2023: staff still great, total lack of progress by Park service or whoever is responsible for the physical structure is annoying, but consistent. Always good to go to the beach to look at rubble. Also, website was never updated to 2023 info.
Marina Response:
Hi Joe, sorry you had an issue with the GFI system but it may be worth figuring out why you have a ground fault. It protects life and property and it is worth fixing. We had at least one million dollar picnic boat with an arcing main wire in their panel and the feedback system picked it up. His box had severe burn marks and who knows what could have happened. NOTE that eventually all marinas will have to go with GFI protected systems to meet the National Electric Code. We can help you with a great ABYC electrician who can help you find the ground fault quickly and usually inexpensively. Call us at 631-597-6073. Also note that we now have self-service GFI breakers on each slip (two per pedestal) so no longer can one boater trip another. MOST boaters are doing great on our system and can have peace of mind that their boats are safe from ground faults. Only a small percentage of boats have an issue and once corrected perform as they should. All the best and we hope to see you back.

Watch Hill was “Fintastic”! The staff is friendly and always helpful. There are new tables and chairs by the gift shop. The children’s park newly added by friends of Watch Hill funding is beautiful. Since it’s the end of the season the food truck wasnt open on the weekdays but the seashore is beautiful definitely worth the visit.
