Safe Harbor Essex Island

Loved this place! The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived. It was nice to have clean bathrooms, laundry on site, and a very convenient shuttle launch into town. We will be back again. Thank you SH Essex Island. - MisKelculation

LOVE THIS AREA.. HAD A GREAT TIME.

I used Essex Island Marine as a transient stay. My wife and I have stayed there several times in the previous years. I spoke to Henry on the phone. He made me feel very welcome. The dock hands were helpful. Every employee that I saw with a logo shirt gave me a nice hello. The grounds are very comfortable. I have considered other marinas in the area. This is always our first choice. Thank you for your efforts to make my stay so pleasant. Dave

Always a great time and Essex is a very neat town

Very nice facility. The staff was helpful. We had a nice swim in the pool to cool off and it was a quick walk to town where we enjoyed a nice dinner and a live pub singalong. Great fun!

From the moment we arrived at Essex Island Marina, it felt welcoming and effortless. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, always quick to answer questions and make sure everything was set for a comfortable stay. The marina is well-run and makes transient guests feel right at home. The amenities are a real highlight: the pool is perfect for relaxing between trips, and the restaurant offers convenient, tasty options without having to go far. The docks are excellent—clean, solid, and well laid out—making docking and getting around easy and smooth. Location is another major win. With easy access to Essex, Connecticut, it’s a great base for exploring local sights, dining, and the charming waterfront. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily return.

One of our favorite destinations. Henry the dock master dies a good job. The ground ate nice, staff is friendly and the restaurant (Siren) is very good. Looking forward to coming back.

Dock hands were a big help in difficult wind and current. Henry and his crew are always very attentive. We are repeat visitors who enjoy a clean, welcoming environment.

Beautiful marina in an even more beautiful town full of history and style. Dock hands were super and the facility was very nice. It's a big place and looks like some aspects of it are in need of a facelift, but overall, it's a charming place. Great big pool with comfortable lounge chairs to relax in. Onsite restaurant was very good and convenient. The "ferry" to get across the fairway to the mainland is perfect and takes about a minute to ride to the other side. Docks are all well maintained.

Great stay at EIM this weekend. The marina is kept in excellent condition, access to town, laundry/ shower facilities- all outstanding. But what really sets this marina apart is the staff. Dock master Henry and his crew are exceptional. Highly recommend SH Essex Island

Even though it rained all Memorial Day weekend, we still had a great time at Safe Harbor Essex Island Marina! Staff is super nice and always asking if you need anything.
