Just stayed the weekend at Safe Harbor in Essex Village. I had spoke to Henry on the phone and he made the difference in my choice for the marina. When I got there he went beyond the call of duty to assist me in launching my antique 26’ boat. He has a personality and smile for Hollywood but more so he is a genuine guy and is such a pleasure to be around. He knows his stuff and makes sure you know he will take care of any concerns you may have. What an asset to Safe Harbor!!! Also, the deck hands along with Stephon running the shuttle were great!

I used Essex Island Marine as a transient stay. My wife and I have stayed there several times in the previous years.
I spoke to Henry on the phone. He made me feel very welcome. The dock hands were helpful. Every employee that I saw with a logo shirt gave me a nice hello. The grounds are very comfortable. I have considered other marinas in the area. This is always our first choice. Thank you for your efforts to make my stay so pleasant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Safe Harbor Essex Island Marina. There's a nice path for a walk or walking your dog. Full moon. great restaurnts and shops nearby. October is the Town of Essex Scarecrow competition which is always fun.

Another great stay ! Clean grounds and fantastic location.. Essex village always has good stuff going on. Love it here and one of our yearly must visits. Dock master is a very nice guy and helpful.

Our slip and location of it were great. Dockhand that helped us, Henry, was also great. Helpful and very pleasant. The only negative was that the bathrooms had not been cleaned. The garbage pails were overflowing. Location is great as well. Given what we have to pay for a slip these days they should not be bugging the ferry passengers for tips. Just pay the ferry drivers what they deserve.

Another delightful stay at SH Essex Island, my overnight GoTo marina when I want to getaway for a change in venue. The setting, facilities and service are fantastic. The views of Essex and the Connecticut River are gorgeous. Numerous nice restaurants in easy walking distance. Shower rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff are pleasant and responsive. The only negative are the swarms of “no see-ums”. At least they don’t bite. Highly recommended cruising destination.

Great location, a real "resort" feel!
Henry and staff are always very helpful - the restaurant on the island is terrific, the town is always fun with more great choices. We come back every year!

Essex Island Marina remains one of our favorite destinations for early and late season trips. It is a perfect venue to host family gatherings with the boat as home base.

Dock hand was helpful and courteous. Great marina and fun town to explore. Enjoyed dinner at the Griswold Inn.

Safe Harbor Essex Island Marina is my favorite place. The management takes care of every detail possible. Beautiful flowers everywhere. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms are always clean. I feel it's the crown jewel of Safe Harbor. Sirens is awesome too. Won’t disappoint.

Safe Harbor Essex Island is one of our favorite stops. Immaculate- beautiful pool and the little water shuttle to town is a plus! The town has so much New England character- thanks for another lovely stay
