Townsend Manor Inn & Marina

Great place to stay. Dockhands friendly and helpful.. pool was great.. will be back again. Been coming every year for many years and always a pleasure to stay at Townsend Manor. Scott is very helpful.

Absolutely my favorite place to dock while I am in Greenport. The staff are amazing and the fellow boaters are a pleasure to dock along side. Perfect location too. Far enough outside of yet close enough to town.

Our second trip to this marina, and it won't be our last! Pretty grounds, friendly and helpful staff, nice neighbors on the dock. It's pretty quiet, but an easy walk into town where there is lots to do. We love it and highly recommend!

Great spot. Nice and peaceful. As a transient, it’s always nice to be welcomed by nice full timers. Our dock was great. We will be back soon.

We loved staying here. As others have said, the docking experience is on your own, no help or guidance but we were fine. The marina could use some updating in parts, but it had everything we needed. It’s very quiet. Clean bathrooms and showers, laundry (coin), garbage and recycling collection (happy to see that they recycle), wifi, attentive on Dockwa, pool (we did not use but it looked nice), ice at the inn. I had an Amazon package sent there and staff was fine with it. It’s a nice easy walk to town (less than a mile). Many great shops, places to eat, grocery store, park along the water, carousel. We would stay here again.

We stayed from Sunday until Wednesday morning. Not one person from Townsend came over during our entire stay. I thought that was a bit strange. We called when we arrived and were told to take any slip this was fine because we have been there before. Is this their after Labor Day policy

Nice place, well protected and maintained. Good electric power. Upgraded docks and facilities make this even better. Easy in and out. Slips are a bit narrow Good place.

Ive been coming to Townsend inn marina for over 3 decades with different 5 boats from 33’-50’ Docks & facility always well-kept and as it’s tucked into corner of the Stirling basin very well protected. Have always recommended it for a stopover in Greenport That being said- we booked via Dockwa- and after a couple of confirming emails we were good to go. On arrival we hailed on VHF 9 as instructed but received no replies. Figuring dock staff may have been busy we held our location for about 10 min & then called Townsend via phone, when answered we confirm our reservation, boat beam & was told to hold, which we did when she got back to us we were informed there was no dock staff and to take any slip except X & Y. So I took the slip we were in front as it seemed to accommodate our beam , Captain in the next slip came over to assist if needed. We got the boat settled for the one night stay expecting someone would great us sooner or later. Never happened. We went into town- came back, stayed the night Cast off mid-morning. We were there for almost 24 hrs and not a single Townsend staff member in sight. I’m hoping they just had a bad day as I would still like to recommend them

Unfriendly staff, terrible restroom facilities, crappy docks and location.

This was our first stay at Townsend and we could not have been any happier. It was a very welcoming experience and the boaters alike were very pleasant to converse with.The facilities were clean and the laundry room worked great. The restaurant staff was great (we had dinner there twice), the pool was clean and allot of friendly people there as well. The pool bar is a nice touch with easy food and drink ordering. Overall it was a great experience.

Loved being at Townsend. Everyone was so friendly. Can’t wait to get back.

Dock hand told us wrong slip # wasn't there to help with 40' boat stuck on the inside with a 24'boat just lingering on the inside nightmare! Trying to back out wind caught us 2 hugh gashes on side of hull. Then told us wrong slip # again while he was laughing. Slip #49 was our spot went to get off boat pc. Of dock was not nailed down front of my foot went in hole. Spoke to front desk said they wd nail/replace board never did! I wish I were able to put pictures on here!
