Great value! Two big cruise ships as neighbors but all fine!

Disappointing Stay. My recent visit to Tisbury Wharf left me quite taken aback, especially considering my positive experiences over the past decade. Unfortunately, this time, things did not go as expected. Initially, we tried to use Dockwa to secure a reservation months in advance, but our request expired. On our second attempt, I learned that calling was necessary for dock reservations. When I reached out, I was informed that they could only accommodate us on Sunday, August 9, due to a lack of availability. However, after reading a review from another customer just a day prior and speaking to the boat next to us, it appeared that the place was actually quite empty and could have easily fit us in. Upon our arrival at 11:30AM, we faced significant difficulties trying to hail Tisbury Wharf for docking instructions. Not only did no one answer our radio calls, but we also experienced challenges when calling the office. The staff member I spoke with struggled to provide basic information about our assigned docking location (W-4). Her vague directions left us frustrated and confused, as she repeatedly referred to “the right side of the dock” without clarity. Adding to our woes, we found no dock hands available to assist us. Although we could manage on our own, it was incredibly frustrating to have to tie up without any support, particularly given the premium price we were paying and that the wind was blowing us off the dock. To make matters worse, someone else was occupying our assigned space, forcing us to take whatever was available. It seemed that Tisbury Wharf now primarily caters to the cruise ships that stop in port a few times a week, neglecting the needs of smaller vessels like ours. We never encountered a single employee to guide us on where to dispose of trash, since there were no cans available at the end of the dock, what the Wi-Fi code was, or how to access the bathrooms. The friendly and helpful staff I had come to rely on over the years seemed to have vanished. Given these numerous issues, I cannot recommend Tisbury Wharf. The decline in customer service and facilities is disheartening, especially for someone who has been a customer for so long. I will certainly be exploring other options for future stays.

Do NOT STAY HERE! Power not working, fixed dock with no ladders, no cleats, no staff to assist with tie up. Unclear directions as to where to dock (waited in harbor 45 mins). After 1.5 hrs someone stopped by to look at power situation. The pedestal was a complete hazard, so he moved us to another location. Then a very rude woman came an hour later and said we were not allowed in the slip we were relocated to. No WiFi, no access to restrooms or showers. 4 people came by to tell us we were not supposed to be in the slip were moved to. It was a horrible two days at this marina ( we were the only boat there) …they have no business accepting reservations as they cannot accommodate guests. Not to mention how rude and unfriendly everyone was. STAY AWAY!!

Great location. Very wavy at times but we love the location. Check and make sure if wind is blowing into the harbor that you are facing now out. Plenty of water in the area.

Great location with a beautiful view of the harbor. Craig, the dockmaster, was very accommodating. Close to restaurants and shopping. We had dinner at Beach Road, directly across the street and breakfast at Black Dog Tavern, just a short walk away. Both were excellent. Highly recommend.

They did not have Power, but we knew that going in. Dock is newly rebuilt and very nice. Staff was great and like everything close to town

The only docks on the island that can safely accommodate a 50m. Staff is great and the pier is private. Our new home on the island!

Was a great time in MV

Great value. Everyone there was helpful and cooperative. We definitely needed to use the fender boards that they have there. We stayed at the wharf to the east which has an address of 158 Beach Road. We needed to know that for our ride pick up. We have a 28' boat so we had to climb up to the dock. No problem for us, but we picked up our elderly passengers at a different dock just to be safe. Won't hesitate to stay there again.

Vineyard Haven is a busy harbor. Tisbury Wharf has some small cruise ships in and out that are not ideal neighbors but when they are gone it’s a great location. Craig and crew are very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to provide a place to have an urgent zoom meeting.

Great location. Staff helped us with docking and were very helpful. I Was happy that i read the reviews in advance about the docks so that we were prepared with fender boards. Marina also has some you can borrow.
