Seaview Boat Basin

Seaview Boat Basin is, without question, our favorite marina on Fire Island. There are a lot of reasons we keep coming back. The basin itself is exceptionally well protected, so regardless of the conditions outside, it is always calm and comfortable inside the marina. The gated facility provides a level of security and peace of mind that is hard to find elsewhere, and the location is perfect—situated between Ocean Beach and Ocean Bay Park. You are close enough to enjoy the restaurants, nightlife, and activity of both communities, but far enough away to return to a quiet, peaceful marina at the end of the day. When it's time to relax, Seaview is exactly that—relaxing. As wonderful as the marina itself is, the real reason Seaview feels like home is Dockmaster Brett. In a world where it seems like everyone wants to make a big deal out of everything, Brett is a refreshing change. No matter what is going on, no matter the weather, no matter the issue, Brett has a way of making everything feel easy. Whether it's helping with docking, answering questions, solving problems, or simply making sure guests are taken care of, he is always available, always professional, and always willing to help. There is tremendous comfort in knowing that when we arrive at Seaview, we don't have to worry about anything. Brett consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our stay is comfortable, enjoyable, and flawless. He has a way of making every guest feel welcome and valued, and that level of service is becoming increasingly rare. Seaview is not the cheapest marina on Fire Island, and that's exactly the point. We don't come back year after year because it's the least expensive option—we come back because it's consistently the best experience. We know the marina will be safe, quiet, clean, and professionally run. Most importantly, we know we're going to have a great time. That consistency starts with Brett. He is the type of person who turns a marina into a destination and customers into regulars. Seaview Boat Basin is a fantastic marina, but Brett is the reason it feels like home and the reason we continue to return season after season. Highly recommended.

Kevin was very helpful

The staff is great and helpful. The area where the ice machine is located is a complete mess with random items strewn all over the ground. It would be nice if it was cleaned up and organized.

The best little marina in all of long island. Quiet ,scenic , sheltered from boat wakes and wind, great people , close to the beach and restaurants . There's no place we'd rather be for the late summer weekends. joe and jules Cavanagh

Marina dockhands are very helpful. Short walk to beach or Ocean Beach. Ferry comes to Seaview as well.

We just spent two nights at Seaview Marina and had a great experience. The place is super clean, quiet, and easy to navigate. The dockmaster was awesome—really friendly and helpful from the moment we pulled in. He made docking simple and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell he really cares about the marina and the boaters coming through. The location is perfect, with restaurants and shops close by, and the whole place felt really safe and well-maintained. Definitely a spot we’ll come back to. Highly recommend!

Great Location and Service

Great marina, close to everything. Brett and his staff are great - they know what they are doing from the time you pull in to the time you pull out. They keep an eye on your boat during the day.

Nick was very helpful and kind. The slips are a little tricky with stern in and no floating dock. Bumpers required to hang off the swim platform. of course close to everything and the Seaview Market right next store. No bathrooms so be mindful of that. The Ferry comes in and out often, making a bit rocky all day. Not many places to stay by boat in FI so this place is great spot. Also has fenced and locked gates. We had a north east wind blowing 15 to 20 at night and were rocked like i could not believe on a protected cove style dock. There is a bulkhead protecting you from the open water, but somehow the rocking was mysterious. The regulars there said it happened with that specific blow. Consumer Marine Supply
