Saybrook Point Marina

Great marina, great staff. Very nice pool. Wonderful restaurants. Absolutely no issues! Very attentive dockmaster, excellent dock hands. We appreciate being placed inside their bulkhead. Broke up the waves coming in from the river during thunderstorms.

There’s so much to love about this place. It has become our go-to marina resort, and we make at least two trips here every season. Kate, the Dockmaster, is truly outstanding, and her entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The docks are in excellent condition, the dockside services are top-notch, and the pump-out boat makes regular rounds. There are always fellow boaters—both transients and marina members—around, creating a fun, social atmosphere, especially in the evenings. The amenities are excellent. There are both indoor and outdoor pools, along with a hot tub, sauna, and steam room. The outdoor pool has a poolside bar and food service, plus complimentary cold water is always available. There is a spa that offers all services. The hotel restaurant, Fresh Salt, offers a great menu and a lively atmosphere. In addition to the restaurant bar, there’s the Choo Choo Lounge, which features entertainment along with its own food and drink menu. A complimentary shuttle makes it easy to head into town for shopping, strolling, or enjoying one of the many excellent local restaurants. One thing to keep in mind is that the outdoor pool and lounge chair area are somewhat limited in size. The hotel also offers memberships to local residents, many of whom bring their families, so the pool can become busy on nice days. If you’d like a lounge chair, it’s best to arrive earlier in the day. The pool is perfectly sized for hotel and marina guests, but the additional local membership means it fills up quickly. One helpful tip: be sure to bring a credit card or cash when visiting the pool, restaurants, or bars. Purchases cannot currently be charged to your marina reservation, even though the marina already has your credit card on file. Several boaters we’ve met have been caught by surprise and had to return to their boats to retrieve a payment method. It’s really the only area we feel could be improved. Wi-Fi is excellent throughout the marina. The signal on the docks is strong enough that we had no problem streaming on our TVs while aboard. Do yourself a favor and visit this wonderful destination. Extra helpful and friendly staff. This marina is top notch. Great power, (100amp) single phase. We stayed on the NW diagonal dock for two nights. Wind was never an issue but the random inconsiderate boater passing the marina not caring about their wake was frustrating. The Seatow boat actually ran one yacht down for a good tongue lashing. I would suggest this marina to anyone requiring all the amenities the resort has to offer. Great dining, spa, indoor and outdoor pool. Gym. Hot tub and Sauna. They have it all. 2 teslas for your use if available. Complimentary shuttle to town and pick up. Wish we had more time but will be on our radar later in the season.

This was our second visit and what a great place to visit. Pool, bathrooms/showers, restaurant all big positive for a sailing family. Dock hands are very good and dock master really helpful with planning around storm weather. Have a Tesla test drive location now which I will take advantage of next time and last time we used the hotel shuttle to town which is nice.

Probably one of the nicest marinas I have been to. Very friendly staff, nice welcome package with keys for the resort including spa, showers, pools and restaurant. And the facility is in great condition. Love that place!

We’ve been to Saybrook Point Marina a number of times and our most recent trip was no different ~ Excellent. Kate Mosley was outstanding and always takes great care of us at the marina! Vincent drove us into town. He’s always so friendly and makes our day!! Scott at the front desk ~ I don’t know how you remember everyone’s name, but you do!! You’re amazing!! Thank you!!!!

Saybrook marina is a beautiful facility. The grounds, restaurant restrooms/showers, and full facility is beautiful. The floating docks are very nice as well. Reasoning for 3 stars is the staff. The dock manager Kate was Very rude to us upon our arrival. The restaurant wait staff is grossly under trained and handed. I know it's hard to find help, but if trained right, there would be much less issues. The pool is wonderful, but again, grossly under trained and staffed. We never got our drinks, but they charged us for them, we had to get it refunded. Overall, We would return because it is a very nice facility. Just need better staff.

Have to give it just 2 stars as the electric power was not sufficient to my our boat. I had to run the generator all the time. They did refund funds for the inconvenience. The dock manger was great. He found us a spot as the wind was 20 plus knots. Trying to maneuver inside with single screw was not practical. The too girls were learning but I feel they should be trained before they start there job not on the job training. Handling the lines on a 54 to boat is not easy and must know what to do. The restaurant was wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay at Saybrook Point Marina. Dockhands were very helpful. Floating dock was great. Also enjoyed dinner and breakfast at Fresh Salt located on site. We highly recommend.

Just...fantastic. Dockhands, 5 stars, wide fairways, big slips, great shuttle service into town, Tesla test drives onsite, very helpful staff, awesome facilities. Not much more expensive that other marinas in the sound in CT but really great.

The absolute best marina amenities anywhere that isn’t a private yacht club. Full gym, steam and dry saunas, jacuzzi, heated pool and a great restaurant on site. add to that some of the least expensive fuel on Long Island sound, and a world class staff.? Book now. Your wife and/or crew will thank you!

One of our most favorite places! Very nice dinner at Fresh Salt and plenty of pool time with the grand kids. Extremely pleasant! AAAAA++++

This resort is beautiful, we ate at the bar and the ambiance, food, service and live music was great. We arrived very early in the season so the marina was mostly empty. We arrived after marina staff went home and were told to dock at a T head for easy in and out as we were leaving early in the morning which was great. The problem we had was the condition of the seas inside the marina. The seas were calm when we arrived and very calm when left. But in the middle of the night when the tide changed, the conditions inside the Marina changed drastically. Our boat and our friend's boat were rocking so bad that if felt like we were out at sea in 3-4' choppy waves and none of the 6 of us on board could sleep. That's saying a lot as we had just spent 6.5 months traveling on our boat.

Just had a great stay at Saybrook Point. Dock staff was extremely helpful, restaurant was excellent and friendly service too, facilities were exceptionally clean and tidy. Very pleased and will continue to return
