Joe the launch driver is great and friendly and helped during some rough weather. Very short/almost no walk to town.

Nice stay. Warm welcome from Joe the Dockmaster. Only 4 stars purely because no one is available to help with line for an early morning start. Otherwise a great place.

We stayed at this marina twice in one week, once on the way to New York City from the east end of Long Island and once on the way back. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The marina is clean and safe and is a very short walking distance from town.

If I could leave at 10 star review, I would. Our boat broke loose from her Mooring in a 30kts breeze, and unbelievably Captain Joe was able to go out in the launch and catch her before she beached. Then got Sea Tow to get her back and tied off to a dock securely without a scratch on her. An amazing story. Highly recommend staying here.

Loved our stay at Port Jefferson Yacht Club. People there were really friendly, loved the dog friendly beach next door for long walks with the pups, right close to downtown so you can walk to everywhere. Port Jeff is a really cute town with a great brewery, lots of good restaurants. We'll definitely be coming back .

We love using the moorings at the PJYC. It’s easy to walk to town. The moorings are also close to their dinghy dock if you bring your dinghy, if not they do have launch service. Even though Port Jeff is the next harbor West from ours we love to go there for a little get away that feels like a vacation. I’m leaving four stars and not five because of your dinghy dock location. You have to bring your dink under the dock ramp in order to get there. During high tide it’s a little bit tricky. Also for some reason there’s dinks tided up alongside the dock and not just bow in.

Thank you for your input, Originaly we did allow dinghy tie ups on the North side of the dock, but unfortunately, that did not allow enough room for the members to get into their slips if a dinghy was on the north side. We added cleats to the end of the dock so it was not necessary to go under the ramp. Dinghy tie up space is an extra for our guests but we encourage our guests to use our launch service that has exellent hours of service. Very nice quiet bay. Staff were very friendly. While we asked the fuel dock location, Captain Joe drove us to the entrance of the fuel dock for a better view. We are really appreciate!

Dock master was friendly, docks are old and need attention, 1/2 mile walk to downtown, showers need updating but we're clean. 1/2 the price of next door. Overall I will go back.

Our first stay at PJYC and we already look forward to going back. The location is beautiful, the approach is easy and with deep water, and the mooring field is well marked and maintained. About Port Jefferson Yacht Club

The Port Jefferson Yacht Club offers transient guest facilities including slips, and moorings ranging from 300 to 600 lbs, which are available for overnight cruisers.

Dock & Slip Space up to 90'. (Space is limited above 56', contact us at [email protected] for availability)

Rates per foot have a 28' minimum for slips, and 36' for moorings.

Fee includes:

Launch service to and from our docks on the southeastern corner of the harbor.
During July and August, launch service runs 8 AM thru late evening.
See our Launch Schedule with specific hours of operation for other times.
Free WiFi at the slips.
Power and Water at the slips.
Block and cube ice are available from our courteous launch staff.
Overnight mooring guests may tie up to the dock to clean or provision their vessels during off-peak hours for up to 20 minutes (space is limited).
Use of our facilities including showers, grills, a canopied deck with a fabulous view of Port Jefferson Harbor, and a bar on weekends.
Port Jefferson Village is just a short walk from our docks.

EXTENDED STAY DISCOUNTS: For mooring reservations of 7 to 27 days, the daily rate is $54.57 ,$375/wk regardless of boat length. Mooring reservations of 28 days and longer are $48.21 per day, $1350 for 28 days regardless of boat length.
