As always, Kathryn is outstanding. She is the reason you want to visit Ocean Yacht marina. The showers are clean and private. Thanks for a great stay, Kathryn. There's still no ice after over a year. The ice vending machine just takes your money. You must call for a refund. Marina will not return to ice delivery service. I was told to walk a mile to the gas station. Walmart will deliver ice for a 10 dollar fee.

Kathryn, the Dockmaster, was very friendly and helpful helping us tie up. The restrooms, showers, and laundry were clean and nice.

You need to be extremely aware of current and wind going in here. It is extremely difficult to dock. The dock hands are inexperienced and of no help. The cleats are few and far between and not in great places. The finger piers are floating and extremely unstable. You get a gate code, but the gate is never locked. The only reason we stay here is so we can walk into Portsmouth and go to the Commodore theater. However, I feel after this time we won’t go back.

Good Marina, very friendly and welcoming staff. Very good location: Quiet, very close to oldtown Portsmouth and just a quick ferryride from the Norfolk waterfront.

Excellent and friendly staff. Convenient to the ICW. Excellent location when there is a concert at the Pavlion. Also close to old town Portsmouth.

The stay was good, disappointed that when we planned the stay, waterway guide said $2.00 per foot and we were charged $3.00 per foot.

Just the place I was looking for to keep my boat for a month while I spent a couple of weeks going to appointments. Reasonable rates, friendly staff. Portsmouth had a few good restaurants, a supermarket within walking distance and a $2 ferry close by to take you into downtown Norfolk.

About Ocean Yacht Marina
Boaters appreciate Ocean Yacht Marina’s prime location 1/2 mile south of Mile Marker Zero on the Intracoastal Waterway, and its unrestricted access from sea. The Marina consists of 122 all-floating slips accommodating boats to 65′ as well as 1500′ of alongside dockage for larger (mega) yachts. All slips have water and electricity hook-ups. Wireless Internet Service is also available. Restrooms, Showers, Laundry Room and Ship’s Store are located in the Dockmaster Building.
