Ocean Yacht Marina

A good stay, we were in the Otter Berth and is very public but has no problems at all. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and is a great location

As always, Kathryn is outstanding. She is the reason you want to visit Ocean Yacht marina. The showers are clean and private. Thanks for a great stay, Kathryn. See you in May!

Excellent staff, extremely easy in and out of marina and is a great 'jump off' point if you are heading South via ICW. Facilities themselves are a little long in the tooth, but they appear to be slowly improving them. Would recommend

Nice Marina it is hard to heal someone to get in the marina. But was very helpful after we got him and he helped us dock and get fuel

Dockmaster Kathryn has excellent customer service skills. Manager Rick was friendly and responsive to requests even when off-duty. We enjoyed our visit and will return again.

NIce marina, close to ferry stop, good dog walking nearby, close to historic town. Only complaint is the wakes from passing boats on the river - pretty intense, even with large boat in front of us. Mostly during the day and only northbound boats it seemed. Would stay here again but try to get off the front dock.

We always stay at Ocean Yacht Marina on our way either north or south on the ICW. It's easy into the river, and within walking distance of "downtown" Portsmouth. You can also take a ferry to Norfolk, although we never do. The personnel are unfailingly pleasant and knowledgeable about boats and fueling. Highly recommend.

First marina shower I've been in that got hot water instantly. The view of the navy yard in Norfolk was amazing. A bit noisy being right in the middle of a military industrial center but that's to be expected.

Close to great restaurants, we got in after hours do did not meet any staff, but on the phone the one we talked to was very nice

Always a pleasure! They are professional and so helpful. 2nd time for fuel 1st overnight! But have also stayed at their sister marina up the way and can’t say enough about both!

Katherine was great at greeting us refuel and guide us into our slip. Very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are new clean and air conditioned. Great location too !Walking distance to cafes restaurants and ferry to Norfolk. Might have to stay longer due to engine problems. Good place to have engine problems.

The staff at Ocean Yacht Marina get a 5 star plus rating. They are absolutely great and helpful. The marina itself is across from the navy yard. There are quite a few derelict boats the marina is trying to get taken away, which is not easy, but it makes for an unattractive walk on the docks. The surrounding property is also not very nice. The docks are in ok shape, but could use additional lighting. The two downstairs bathrooms have been recently remodeled and are nice as well as clean. The laundry room had 3 washers and 3 dryers and was very functional. The office has also been recently renovated. The staffing is short so there may not be anyone to help with lines. Gates are not locked but we felt comfortable at the marina and would return. It's priced fairly for a 3-star experience and gives you wonderful access to Portsmouth and Norfolk.

This place is excellent! The dockmaster, Kathryn was super friendly and extremely helpful with fuel and getting our boat in its slip. Dave and I can't thank her enough for her restaurant recommendation (which was spot on), the information regarding weather for our trip the next AM, and the fun-filled impromptu jam session with fellow boaters on our dock. The facilities were well maintained and most importantly CLEAN. We highly recommend this friendly marina to everyone!

Rick an his crew are attentive an are great hosts ! I will stay here again.
