Just the place I was looking for to keep my boat for a month while I spent a couple of weeks going to appointments. Reasonable rates, friendly staff. Portsmouth had a few good restaurants, a supermarket within walking distance and a $2 ferry close by to take you into downtown Norfolk.

A good stay, we were in the Otter Berth and is very public but has no problems at all. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and is a great location

Excellent staff, extremely easy in and out of marina and is a great 'jump off' point if you are heading South via ICW. Facilities themselves are a little long in the tooth, but they appear to be slowly improving them. Would recommend

Nice Marina it is hard to heal someone to get in the marina. But was very helpful after we got him and he helped us dock and get fuel

Manager Rick was friendly and responsive to requests even when off-duty.

NIce marina, close to ferry stop, good dog walking nearby, close to historic town. Only complaint is the wakes from passing boats on the river - pretty intense, even with large boat in front of us. Mostly during the day and only northbound boats it seemed. Would stay here again but try to get off the front dock.

We always stay at Ocean Yacht Marina on our way either north or south on the ICW. It's easy into the river, and within walking distance of "downtown" Portsmouth. You can also take a ferry to Norfolk, although we never do. The personnel are unfailingly pleasant and knowledgeable about boats and fueling. Highly recommend.
About Ocean Yacht Marina
Boaters appreciate Ocean Yacht Marina’s prime location 1/2 mile south of Mile Marker Zero on the Intracoastal Waterway, and its unrestricted access from sea. The Marina consists of 122 all-floating slips accommodating boats to 65′ as well as 1500′ of alongside dockage for larger (mega) yachts. All slips have water and electricity hook-ups. Wireless Internet Service is also available. Restrooms, Showers, Laundry Room and Ship’s Store are located in the Dockmaster Building.
