Excellent! Chris the dockmaster was amazing and the property is beautiful. We enjoyed walking up through the parade grounds to the Inn and had an amazing dinner at The Crown Jewel. We will be back!!

My experience with Dockwa and diamond Edge was fabulous. May I highly encourage to use them for all of your of dockage. The restaurant Crown Jewel is my favorite. A solid 10. Service, atmosphere effortless. ..fun

Nice marina, Chris was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant leaves some to be desired, not worth the money, but all-in-all, a good place to explore for the day.

Diamond’s Edge Marina is a spectacular destination. Chris, the dockmaster, went out of his way to accomodate us, not only by making us comfortable in our slip but also by helping us see the island. The marina is set in a magical location (within the City of Portland evidently) where Fort McKinley has been repurposed as a resort. Great Diamond was a highlight of our recent cruise through Maine.

Paid $55 for a place to tie up. The slip was not ready when we got there, the dock hand had to move a neighboring boat. Not a big deal, but if you're charging a premium....! Table was awesome, private, out on the lawn very nice. Much nicer after I gathered a piece of bark to keep it from jiggling and spilling our drinks. Server Breyden was a friendly young man that came and asked how our meal was after we were nearly complete (not fast eaters) and he never asked if we'd like another drink. Spicy tuna app; the rice cake under the tuna seemed like they had been cooked some long time before serving, the toughness of the rice took away from the softness of the tuna. Sword fish entree; my wife asked for the sword fish to be cooked as lightly as they could. It was fully cooked and required a knife to cut it. Was not served with asparagus it was served with snap peas. I had the little neck clams and linguine. This was tastey but Brayden did not bring a bowl to put the shells in? Love my wife, had a great time because the company was top shelf. But the overall performance of the Marina/ resturaunt combo was sub par.

Great service at the marina and great service at the restaurant. The marina power was a bit wonky but the awesome dockmaster sorted that out right way.

Christopher was excellent. However, words cannot describe the disappointment that we feel with the dynamic pricing structure that is in place. Boating is our escape from reality and the rigs of everyday life on land. It is severely disappointing to run into dynamic pricing on the water. it is very unfortunate that we need to explore other options such as the Dolphin Marina or dockside Grill other dock and dine options that do not share your need for dynamic pricing. In fact the other locations do not charge a feet to dock.

We know our guests look to the water to relax and unplug, and we apologize for the disappointment this policy caused. We use this pricing structure during holiday weekends to balance high demand and ensure safe, available dock space for our visitors. On the day you visited, our holiday rates were $10 more for a 22' vessel. We recognize that this model differs from other local options, and we take your comments seriously as we evaluate our guest experience. You are wonderful guests, and we hope to see you again.

Lovely Marina, fabulous restaurant. BUT… NO WIFI AT END OF DOCK (and virtually no AT&T cell service either on the island). Not much to do, beaches are private. Home owners (except kids) are nasty to non-owners.

The marina is located on a private island with very few public roads, and mostly private access to the beaches. However, Kayak Beach is public, and we will make sure to better inform our guests of this. WiFi is excellent a bit closer to the dock office, and anywhere near the restaurant. We hope you return, and we will reserve you a slip with better service.

About Diamond's Edge Restaurant & Marina

Located at the northern end of Great Diamond Island, our 43 slip deep-water marina can accommodate vessels up to 105 ft. Our marina is available for guests at Diamond's Edge Restaurant, the Crown Jewel, the Inn at Diamond Cove and all overnight boaters.

Visit the island to explore and take in 193 acres of spectacular natural landscape that inspires outdoor recreation and relaxation. The island is home to Diamond Cove, a small residential community that was a former military base built during America's Gilded age, the luxurious Inn at Diamond Cove, the highly-rated Diamond’s Edge and Crown Jewel Restaurants, and the Fort McKinley Museum.

All slip reservations include complimentary water and Wi-Fi, and access to shower and bathroom facilities. Please hail us on VHF channel 09 as you enter the harbor and we'll happily guide you to your slip. All dockage reservations will be processed through Dockwa.

We invite boaters to dock and dine at our newly renovated Diamond's Edge Restaurant featuring fresh, local New England favorites. For the 2026 Season Diamond's Edge Restaurant will be open for Lunch on Thursday through Dinner in Sunday.
