Great location. Dick was in good shape. The power was good, but plugged in to the mainland, not on the dock so you had to allow for the tide rise and fall. The only thing that I would give a negative comment about, would be if transient dockage is offered there should be wifi provided. They say you can connect to Spankys, but had better luck connecting to the Westin until a ship passed.

The staff was very helpful, and the location is fantastic, situated within feet of Savannah’s River Walk.
With that said, this location is “bare bones” and not for the feint of heart. This is not a marina, rather it is a dock along the seawall that provides good power and water, but that’s it. There are no other amenities, no parking, no showers, no heads, no dock carts, no fuel, etc.
Most importantly, you are totally exposed to the wakes of heavy boat traffic including numerous sea-going ships coming in and out of Savannah, and especially from the ferry and private powerboats that apparently care less about being responsible for damage incurred by their wakes. (Why there isn’t a “No Wake” zone on the stretch in front of these docks is beyond me.) We were prepared for this, having read previous reviews, and hung plenty of fenders. Other than being jolted awake a couple times through the night, it was tolerable, and we took no damage.
Also beware of floating debris coming down the river. Thanks to the advice from the staff, we docked on our port side with our bow facing upriver. This proved to be good advice, since during the day a large tree trunk wedged itself between our hull and dock. Had we been stern-to we could have taken damage to our exposed running gear.
Overall, the location made up for the many shortcomings, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. But boater beware.

Be sure to bring extra very large bumpers. GIANT Ocean cargo ships (and fast moving ferry boats) come in to unload virtually every hour leaving 2’ wake waves to bounce against the side of your boat all day long. That said, the location of your slip makes for a terrific visit to Savannah. We took electric bikes and cruised all over the historic district of Savannah and made this our favorite stop so far.

Location is directly on the waterfront with shops and restaurants minutes away. Dock hands were very helpful and informative. This is not a marina, rather a floating dock in the river. That being said, there is quite a bit of boat traffic with many tankers and tugs running by at all hours. The tugs have no regard for the fact that you are tied to the dock. They run full throttle when not assisting with a cargo ship, sending a surfable three foot wake into the side of your vessel. Not many options in the area so it you take what you can. Again, dockhands were very helpful and pleasant.

Great location. Docks need some maintenance. Dont like the two night minimum policy, especially when not busy season. Dock hand was great.

To many drug addicted shady characters walking by the dock at night.
Other than that the power is good and good water pressure. Lauren was very helpful.

Ridiculouly priced for docks in poor condition. Charged for electricity but 1 tower was taped off and the other one was not secured properly so we did not use. Bar street is rowdy with no security. Curious, drunk, rowdy people walked up to the boat. This should just be a free municipal dock.
Marina Response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the pricing and condition of the docks, as well as the security concerns you experienced during your visit. We understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We take your comments seriously and will address these issues with the relevant authorities to improve the overall experience and safety for future visitors. We appreciate your input and will take it into consideration for future enhancements to ensure a more enjoyable and secure environment. During your stay you were never changes for power on the dock, but only for your dockage relevant to your vessel size. We are also in the process of replacing the power pedestal that wasn't in service during your stay. We do hope that you will try us again in the future.by Joe O. - Verified user on Apr 09, 2023
Great location. Right on River Street, easy walk to all the historic stuff.
DON'T MISS the J.W. Marriott in the old power plant just up the river. Wow.
However, be prepared for constant wakes from passing boats tossing you about. No one pays attention to any "no wake" rules, and travel past within a few feet of the boats at the docks on plane, or worse, sort-of on plane.
Staff is very helpful, terrific people. Nice floating docks, which helps with the strong tidal currents, and big tidal range.
It's worth a stop for sure, just bring fenders and embrace motion.
