I can’t say enough positive things about this Marina! Greg is a superstar and is super helpful with everyone that walks in the door. We had a trailer issue on the way down and Greg was quick to help us launch our boat and store the trailer for us while it gets repaired. I highly recommend the Marina for launch as well as bait and fishing equipment!

The staff at Grassy Key was professional and went out of their way to make sure everything went well with the Jupiter 31’ I brought for storage. Communication is quick and responsive. Gregg went out of his way to help get us set up.

Wife and I are older boaters and keep our Worldcat at grassy key marina year round. Although we use the boat occasionally we’re very pleased with the exceptional service received. Marina staff assisted with launching and then washed down trailer even putting it back in its spot for us. THANKS AGAIN Capt. Greg and crew for making our day!

Could not have been more impressed with the service I got from Gregg and the new management at Grassy Key Marina. Took great care of me and launched my boat for me with 24 hour notice. Will definitely be storing my boat there again soon.

Nothing but good things to say about Captain Gregg. The service great. They are very accommodating to my many requests. I store my boat there inside on a rack. Could not be more pleased.

OMG!!!! Where do I begin? I made a reservation in August for a wet slip And trailer storage for 3 months. When I arrived I was was greeted if you can call it a greeting from the most annoying mgr. First I was told the rates went up but I said I had a contract from Dockwa and he said I guess I’ll honor it!! Wow! I traveled from Wisconsin with a new blackfin 302 so I asked where I could give it a quick wash before launching the next day……. His response was I’m not allowed to wash it on the property!!!! It’s a no work yard but I can have his staff wash it but could not give me a price yet, he has not worked out pricing for any services . I decided to bring it over to my rv park and give it a quick wash down. I paid my bill of over 1700$ for my stay. After washing my boat I went back to store the boat and had a conversation with the annoying mgr about where I should store my trailer after launching my boat and was told my trailer storage would be extra . I showed him my contract included trailer storage and he said that I could store it unsecured outside by the road but to be in a secure location it would be extra….. let me say that there were a few broken old trailers store outside the security fences but all trailers were stored inside their fencing. I have a 15000$ trailer that I was not going to store in an unsecured area…… at this point I was demanding that he needs to honor my contract….. at this point he added a few more rules that put me over the edge! In addition to the fee for secure trailer storage I had to vacate the property by 5:30 or I was locked in and had no access to my boat before 7:00 am and the big doozy…… water was going to be charged upon consumption but the meters have not been installed so he was going to watch me and estimate my usage and charge me accordingly!!!!!! Well needless to say I was floored! I did not argue I just informed him that I was going to go take my boat and find another marina and asked him to credit me for my stay……. Of no surprise he informed me that they do not give credit!!! Thank god I paid with my American Express …a quick call to them and I got my credit! I am a hospitality professional and have been an owner and consultant for over 30 years in hospitality and can honestly say that this place needs help and direction more than any business I have worked with. The location and potential of this facility is amazing but the path they are on now and the facilities and services they offer are so below par that they don’t deserve one star!!! I stored my boat here for 1 year without any issues and had a good experience for the most part. The staff was friendly and helpful. The boat ramp has seen better days and is in need of pavement repairs and the approach is cockeyed with the driveway making it sometimes difficult get lined up correctly. My review for that period would be 4 or 5 stars. 9 days before the end of the month I received a notice my current contract was canceled and a new contract for storage from the new manager with a 33% rate increase stating my contract had expired in the previous year which was incorrect. I had extended my agreement with previous managers and was reflected properly in the DockWa system. After going round and round with the new manager he agreed to keeping me at the same rate for 3 more months when my original agreement had 5 months left on it. With the bad taste in my mouth from this experience I decided to go ahead and move now rather then waiting the 3 months as I found another suitable marina that was the same rate as my original rate. Leaving 2 stars due to the handling of my previous contract, the 33% rate increase from $300 to $400 per month and was only given 9 days notice on the new rate.

David S. I am sorry that we were not able to accommodate your request to stay at our marina at less than competitive rates. Since purchasing the marina toward the end of 2022, we have tried very hard to make improvements to the property to benefit the customers and improve their overall experience. We have learned throughout this process that we simply cannot please everyone, although I am very proud to say that the overwhelming majority of our customers are very happy with the marina and our efforts. We increased our storage rates to stay competitive with the surrounding market and because we purchased a marine forklift that allows us to access the dry racks both inside and outside the barn. The old rates that we inherited from the prior owners were based on the fact that the prior owners did not have a working forklift and therefore could not access any of the rack spaces. Thus, they utilized the marina as a trailer storage facility that simply could not justify rates typical of a full-service marina. We genuinely wish you well at your new location David, but feel free to come back if you find that the grass is not greener over there. No hard feelings on our part, although I do take issue with your description of our boat ramp. There is nothing wrong with the pavement that affects boats going in or out of the water, and the approach to the ramp is straight as an arrow. (I suppose it could appear "cockeyed" in your rearview mirror if you are not skilled enough to back up your boat straight, but anyone that wants to be the judge of this can either visit us in person or log on to Google Earth.) Unfortunately, it seems to me that perhaps you were grasping for something to justify a two-star review when in your heart you knew we deserved better. And while you did give us a non-deserved review, I want to thank you for pointing out to those that may not know that we have a boat ramp on site for anyone to use, even if you are not a contracted customer of ours. For those that do not know, there are no longer any free public ramps in Marathon and the parking at the two public ramps in town can be a nightmare depending on the season. If you want to utilize our boat ramp, just stop into the marina office and you can even park on site, if necessary. We are at mile marker 59 on the bay side (still working on new signage). The guys there are friendly and helpful. Some additional signage for Grassy would have been helpful upon arrival. The convenience store is under new management. Don't expect much help from them. Overall, the experience was very positive.
