No one was available on the provided ship to shore channel to confirm arrival and guide us into the marina to locate our mooring ball upon arrival. The pendant lines were exceptionally thick and extremely dirty/covered with marine growth and we were unable to get the pendant under and through the horn cleat. We had to wait a very long time for launch pick-up.

Great Place launch is free and the view is excellent from the outer moorings. NE wind is not your friend without a seakeeper. Other than that you can’t complain at all…Great place to stay

Nice facilities and great launch service and staff. Bathrooms were clean and there are multiple shower stalls with a private changing area outside the shower. Good directions to mooring provided by radio. You are right at the edge of town, so easy walking distance to the commercial area of Jamestown. Mooring field can be exposed and rolly in anything but westerlies, and some traffic wake. It’d be a tough night in significant easterlies I think. But again, the facilities and staff are excellent.

I rented a mooring ball for 4 weeks and had an excellent experience! Great location, and the teams running the launch service were friendly and professional. Kudos to Linda and the rest of the team at TPG Conanicut.

It was our first stay at Conanicut Marina. We already have our next trip back booked, we love it there. The dock office and launch teams are friendly and professional. We took the courtesy shuttle a couple times and used the launch several times. Everything you need is close by. Plenty of pros, only one con (but it didn’t bother us) is that it can get a bouncy on the mooring. Definitely recommend.

We chose to stay on a mooring: huge mistake. The mooring field gets waked from the eastern passage constantly. Right after picking up the mooring, we were waked by a 2-3 foot freighter wake, which caused our boat to almost go on beam ends. Our stay was the worst we have ever experienced. When I inquired about slip reservations for a possible future visit, the representative conveyed an attitude that indicated that transient slips were really not that available. While we may try their marina on the western passage, we will not use this marina again.

Great town,pretty location,BUT, the mooring field is not only a bit hard to figure out but the water conditionsare horrible. 48 hours of rock and roll and both nights a tanker or something rolled the boat at 4:00 am and everything including us went flying. Just not worth it, don't go on a mooring unless you love 2' waves hitting your beam constantly

Despite the rolling boat wake in the afternoons, we really like the access to restaurants and shops. There is a nice wine and cheese shop on the dock along with the Snackbar Royale. A little too pricey for the moorings to come here more often but we do like to come here every year. The staff is great, especially the launch drivers.

ELECTRIC POWER INADEQUATE. 50AMP SERVICE HAD LOW VOLTAGE. COULD NOT USE ONBOARD AC. THIS WAS REPORTED TO OFFICE STAFF BOTH ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. NO EFFORT MADE TO CORRRECT THE PROBLEM. GASOLINE ODOR DUE TO PROXIMITY TO FUEL DOCK WHENOTHER VESSELS TOOK ON FUEL.

I have been to TPG Conanicut Marina a few times. Always an A+ experience. I would highly recommend spending time here. The bathrooms have always been very clean, and the location is great. The launch service is excellent

It was certainly a new experience for us to stay on a mooring. I feel we should have been warned about a few details, the most relevant was the non enforcement of the no wake zone. There was constant full speed passing of boats within 100 ft of our boat. This made it difficult to enjoy our stay. The second let down was the absence of pump out service. We were told to go to another marina. The launch service was great. Adam was a true gentleman and very responsive to our needs. The gas dock was basically self serve. The view is spectacular.

Friendly, clean, great location. Staff including every launch driver was very helpful and prompt. Restrooms/ showers and office all clean and welcoming.
