Safe Harbor Great Oak Landing

A wonderful tidy marina with friendly Safe Harbor employees and guests. Even before arriving, we could feel the employees caring as they explained the quirks of the arrival into Marina and assurances that they are there if we need to call in again or have someone guide us in. Both Stader and Liana met us on the dock and thru our stay were cheerfully available for any questions. Was a pleasure meeting Marcy and Nic two folks we have spoken to in the past. Nic is an experienced common sense wealth of knowledge. His encouragement for all keeping up their boat maintenance seems spot on for knowing your boat. Anyone needing repairs at this Marina are in great hands with Nic and Marcy there :). A huge jaw dropping surprise was the women’s bathroom and shower! Such luxury at a marina!!! Would happily stay here again and have confidence if needed to higher them to do a job. Thanks for the stay :)

Scary as heck getting in there right next to the beach... not a ton of water ... but once in lots of help getting the boat settled. Good staff there, explained the whole set up. No issues at all.

Nice spot to stop on the way south. Dock hands were great, especially the dock master Leann.

Your crew are all great, restaurant was good and SH is doing a nice job upgrading the facilities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The dock and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative was NO SHUTTLE SERVICE OF ANY KIND. With being remote many boaters have no way of getting boating supplies or groceries. This is the first time, since Tampa Bay that the facility wasn't able to make concessions for us boaters.

The marina staff was very helpful and great VIBES, the locals here at this marina make you feel like you're at home. IF you haven't been here, you are missing out on a great time. AKA: SUB BITCH

Friendly staff. The pool was closed but we discovered the marina beach is a great alternative.

We had a great time. Entertainment was great. 2nd time this year we spent time at Great Oak and the Pool was closed.

The stay was great. Very little cell service and no WiFi wasn’t ideal traveling with a teenager…

Great place to visit. Power connections on the dock were loose but manageable. Staff are great people!

We had a nice time at Great Oak Landing. Very quiet and peaceful. The 2 dock hands that helped us dock were outstanding! Will return again soon!

This marina could use an overhaul regarding their administrative staff. The office personnel leave much to be desired. Roxanne seems to be a very frustrated and miserable human being. We are Safe Harbor members and were denied early check in by Roxanne. Our friends (who are not members) were granted an early check in. When we arrived, and my husband asked for early check in, she granted it. I have a feeling that Roxanne has massive issues with females. Many of the other SH members at Great Oaks have issues with her, also. Their docmaster is top notch, however! She should be the GM of the place. The current GM doesn't seem to care much. It feels like he's just collecting a pay check. I truly do not understand how people keep their jobs. Customer service takes a certain personality type. These people don't have what it takes. This marina has great potential, but without the right staff members, it's missing the mark. So unfortunate.

The staff especially the assistant dock master was so good to us - professional and personable. People on our dock were very friendly. We loved the refreshing pool. Bathrooms were neat and clean. Restaurant food was delicious. The only disappointment was the terrible phone service and WiFi. We understand that it is being upgraded so we hope to return in September and see an improvement.

The dock hands were great! Helped us in slip and secure our boat. We loved the pier we were on, a great stay, access to everything. Can’t wait to come back.

We had so much fun. All the staff were extremely nice and helpful. lots to do and see on the property and bathrooms were very clean

Be wary of "shuttle" availability. Shuttle is a local man and if he's not around, as he was for our visit, there are no other options to get into town 9miles away, except walk or bike. And check operating hours of amenities before you go.

Our stay was fair with the following comments: 1.) Piers are fixed and in moderately good shape 2.) The walks and all piers need to be power washed 3.) The marine store was very limited in supplies 4.) The pool was very nice and had a tiki bar 5.) The 9-hole executive course was nice to play and greens in decent shape 6.) WIFI was good Overall we enjoyed our short stay but would consider other marinas on our next trip.

Let me start by saying,” This is a beautiful marina with a great staff!” We have been coming here for the last 3 years with my family and friends. This time was different though. We got in with four other boats and were all together on D dock. For the most part all the marinas we’ve ever been to have great friendly people. That’s the boating community. Well…. Not here. There are people on G dock that got upset with us because we were transients using the grills provided. So much so, that security was called and they informed us that the grilles are not theirs and it’s first come first serve for everyone at the marina. It didn’t stop there. G dock folks kept sending people over to our group to intimidate us into leaving. Security called a second time and informed the folks from G dock to stand down and we could stay. You would have thought that would have been the end of it, right? Wrong. After security spoke with the group a second time they send a guy over to us and he started to be very aggressive and also spoke to one of the kids in an aggressive manner and that’s when it got heated. Security called a 3rd time and were told once again to stand down and leave us alone. The grilles are not there’s and are owned by the marina. Maybe this is just a one off but G dock seems to have people on it with a very high sense of entitlement. Maybe the marina should rethink renewing their slip contracts next year if the want an inviting environment for all boaters transient or not.

We loved it! Great place to stay! The pool and bar were great. The restaurant was excellent! The docks are immaculate. ALL THE STAFF we dealt with gave us excellent service. I can’t say enough good things about the place and the people.

We really love the location. The dock hands are the best. Restaurant and bar and pool we're perfect. You just need to do something about the Wi-Fi.
