Safe Harbor Charleston City

Fantastic experience at Safe Harbor Charleston City Marina. I was at the Mega Dock while going through the sale of my boat, and the staff went above and beyond to make everything easier. A special thank you to Jack B., Jordan, and both Hannahs. They helped me unload and move things, offered great local recommendations, and were always friendly and ready to help. The shuttle service was phenomenal as well. After staying at marinas all along the East Coast, this team really stands out. Exceptional customer service and genuinely great people. Thank you for making my final days with the boat such a positive experience!

Amazing work and great people.

Even though it’s quite large, everyone working acts if it was small town Marina. Each person that helped us was conscientious, caring, and best of all seem to like working there. It makes a huge difference. We did not use any of the facilities except for the shuttle. It was quite convenient to the old town and downtown area. Dog walking was primarily in a parking lot unless you crossed a busy street and walked the neighborhood ( about 1/2 mile)

9/27/26. An excellent stay at Safe Harbor Charleston City Marina. Exceptional staff, many thanks to Jacob and Owen with assist in docking on arrival and to Angus for the Courtesy van ride to and from Harris Teeter. The currents can be challenging in Charleston, but the staff make it easy with very clear directions and efficient assist with arrival and departure. Previous stay - Safe Harbor Charleston City definitely deserves a 5 star rating. Charleston is a lovely place to visit and is easily accessible by walking or using courtesy van provided by marina. The docks are well maintained , diesel and pump-out available at megadock. Great wi-fi. The staff at Safe Harbor Charleston are phenomenal, special call out to Matthew, Jack and Dillon for your excellent assistance during our recent stay.

Great marina with a free shuttle downtown. The dock hands were excellent in helping us dock. These are mega docks so a long walk but they have golf carts to assist you if needed. Very well maintained with cute bar restaurant next door. Free parking if you have a car.

Well organized and clean marina with very helpful staff. The only negative is seeing a 10, 15 or 20% tipping option on the fuel receipt. Do they seriously think we're tipping these percentages on a few hundred gallons order of fuel???

Great facilities with a very friendly and helpful staff. Customer service is excellent. There was an accounting error at check-in, but the team handled it proactively and professionally. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return!

Staff was amazing, docks are super nice. Just stayed for 2 nights, wished we would have stayed longer and not anchored in the Harbour!! Will return again!

Great Modern Floating Dock and Fueling available on the berth. Dockhands and Manager was professional and helpful. Close to Town. Easily walkable or 5-minute Uber to Downtown.

WHEN WE FIRST DOCKED WE HAD GOOD ASSISTANCE WITH THE EMPLOYEES THERE! THEY WERE SO FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. WILL DEF DOCK HERE AGAIN THE NEXT TIME! LOCATION IS PERFECT. THANK YOU!

Great staff top notch marina

Amazing upgrades to an already fabulous marina. All facilities were clean and sanitary. Shuttle service amenity was a plus. Dockhands were very helpful and friendly. Will be back for sure.

The Mega Dock truly lives up to its name! This is a great place to stay. Christian and Donavan were fantastic deck hands and the office personnel were top notch. The bathrooms were very clean.

Great Marina for a stop. Docks are extremely nice, well kept and full of nice boats. Docks can be a long walk to the bathrooms, marina entrance depending on where you are slipped. Marina is on the edge of town with plenty of shops and tours.

Great marina with great staff. Folks on the docks were terrific, and the shuttle to town (super dog friendly) was great. Current and wind were real but manageable.

Such a lovely Marina, we utilized the complementary shuttle downtown, which was a nice perk. Out driver on Sunday was an exceptional young lady from Oregon (wish I had asked her name!). She went above and beyond to assist in every way. Really loved the marina location and how well kept the Marina was.
