Safe Harbor Detroit River

Pool closed. Unable to walk to any entertainment and no amenities although connection to wifi was good slip area was full of seaweeds Staff in store were friendly and helpful

Very dirty water in the marina with trash weeds, etc. Bathrooms are unlocked at all times and when taking a shower the door is unlocked for any one to enter male or female. Very scary! No wi-fi! supposed to be gated but we saw cars going in and out like it was a Wal-Mart parking lot. There was a beer party going on in the picnic area and people just sitting in cars in the parking lot. Do not recommend this marina! When we arrived the office staff could not be bothered with giving us any direction with anything. Just told us we were good because we he already paid on Dockwa. The dockhand with Linz fuel pumps was the only helpful person (operated independently from marina). Marina dockhand did not show up to help us get in our slip (tight concrete dock finger) until we were already in. We did not leave our boat other than to walk the dogs as we were told (by Linz Fuel) it was not really safe to walk over to the restaurant a block or two away.

Nice marina, tight slips for a 15" beam but we managed. Good protection from the windy day. Very nice bathrooms/showers. Cute store, very reasonably priced and staff is very nice. No help on the docks, we did get in after 5. Disappointed there was no place to eat, only restaurant was over a mile away in not a great neighborhood. Tiki bar was closed. Group sitting in the pool area were smoking weed so not a great environment to sit and have a drink anyway.

Nice location. Good pool, showers, facilities. A little drama when there was a boat parked in the slip we reserved, but this was eventually sorted. Definitely a party crowd.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Slips old but ok, bathrooms were nice Did not use pool or hot tub There was no noise management and tiki bar party and other boaters were inappropriately loud at midnight. Love a party but this was extreme at that time of night. The grass and weed in water needs to be managed, it’s excessive

Enjoyable safe well lit great staff.

The docks are narrow and poorly lit. The bathrooms are beautiful but no hot water. Had trouble getting them to answer the phones or radio. We’re supposed to be open till 4:30 but no response when I called at 3:45. Not at all pet friendly. No real protection from the river, boat rocked all night. Solid power and great internet.

Our boat club Shores Harbor Club had an amazing weekend with you guys. Especially Ryan the GM/Harbor Master. He was knowledgeable, accomodating and went over and beyond to make us feel welcome. We will be back!! Also a shout out to Carrie and Nicole at the security gate for making everying smooth and easy for our guest/event. Thanks again and enjoy the rest of your summer. We went to the marina as it was close to downtown as we were going to a baseball game. The docks are nothing fancy but everything worked. They had no bathrooms or showers pool and hot tub weee closed. Would have been nice to know beforehand and maybe a cheaper price. Not a big fan of the hot smelly porta johns.

People do not obey the rules! Clearly there is a sign posted by the jacuzzi no one under 14 is allowed in. For the last few times I’ve attempted to get in it’s been “Romper Room” with multiple young children inside after 8p. Subject to adult language, drinking and partial nudity. Hourly rounds need to be conducted to enforce the rules. Summer is short and with all the rain it’s even shorter.

We love Kean's. Staff are fantastic and accommodating. We make a trip down every year and stay in a transient well for a week. Unfortunately due to high water we were unable to make the trip last year. Pool, bar, and staff are great. Can't wait to make the trip this year

Very friendly staff. Some docks are under water but they have taken steps to make them safer. Only issue was trying to find my slip after the office had closed. I knew the slip number but the numbers were underwater. If you plan to arrive after the office closes I suggest you ask them to mark the piling at the end of your slip ( perhaps put a red bucket on it) so you can easily find it. From a safety standpoint I hate seeing power cords ( and a few extension cords) submerged in the water.

This was our first time here, probably won’t come back. The marina needs some updates/ maintained. We are not very picky we are very easy going. It seems that the seasonal members don’t care to clean up after themselves or take pride. In the restrooms toilets were not being flushed, doors were barely on. Garage all over the docks. The pool area was nice but the hot tub timer was broken. One the 2 barmaids were nice. Really

Considering that there is significant flooding in this area, Kean’s stepped up and provided great service.

Overall we were pleased with our stay. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Communication from the office was lacking. I was told early in the week that I would be receiving an email with our well # and marina information. I had to call the office Friday afternoon and also sent a message via the Dockwa app. While the office was responsive with an answer, I shouldn’t have had to follow up.

Very friendly atmosphere! Nice Tiki bar and pool, within easy ten-minute Uber distance of downtown Detroit attractions. Staff are very accommodating. Excellent security. We used a play as an excuse for a boat ride (or vice-versa, depending on whom you asked), and stayed a couple of days, with three boats. Not a lot of guest wells, I don't believe, so reserve early if you have a hard date you need to get in for, as we did, especially if coming in with more than one boat.
