TPG Dutch Harbor Boat Yard

Mooring was well maintained. Beautiful sunset. Tender staff are friendly, prompt, and helpful. This is one of our all time favorites in RI!

Very nice . Away from the crowds of Newport, staff was friendly and helpful. Another shower room would help. A bit overpriced too compared to other moorings nearby.

We enjoyed our stay at TPG Dutch Harbor and will certainly return. As we approached we received clear directions to our assigned mooring. The launch service was responsive and friendly and we appreciated the quiet harbor.

Dutch Harbor Marina is Wonderful! Just a short walk to Jamestown with great places to eat and hangout. The water taxi people are fantastic!!

Every year we are transient guest at Dutch Harbor and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. The facilities are also always well maintained. This year, in spite of the heavy demand due to the Newport Jazz festival being underway, they allowed up to extend our mooring reservation by a day. I highly recommend this operation.

A beautiful and peaceful spot, with great moorings and amenities. Short walk to Jamestown and easy access to Newport. Wonderful marina staff/launch team - friendly and helpful. Can't wait to visit again!

Nice clean facilities

Our stay was awesome! The staff were very helpful and efficient. Brad was very friendly and the launch service was very quick! Would rec 10/10 and we will definitely come again.

DHBY was a really nice Marina, well protected, and quiet, while being just a .8 mile walk to town, with nice restaurant’s, and then a ferry ride from Newport. Overall a good place to stop over, near enough to Newport without the crowd.

Love coming back to Dutch Harbor every time. My only complaint is the WiFi, or lack there of. We have a 53’ vessel and understand completely that given our size, we need to be placed at the end of the mooring field, usually on E-10 , B-10 and this last time on C-10. The last couple of years we’ve been here and I brought this issue up with the office, I was told “we are working on it, should be better next time you come”. My wife and I both still work and therefore need internet, and it is a bit frustrating. If we are there just one night, it’s not a big deal. But if I am there multiple nights, nit having internet is a bit of an issue. The website says that one of the amenities is WiFi, but does not say anything about it not being available for moorings at the far end of the mooring field. Perhaps it should be more transparent and let boaters know that “If you have a large vessel, most likely you will be placed on a mooring at the end of the mooring field and most likely will not have wife”. I don’t mind being charged $88 per night like everyone else, but I do not get the same amenities as everyone else, and I don’t think that is fair. You really should look into improving your WiFi signal. I know it’s possible. Other than that…LOVE it and will be back. Please fix the lack of wifi so ALL boaters, even those of us all the way to the end can enjoy the free wifi. Thank you, Roberto Rosa MV Gratitude.

Stayed for about .two weeks at Dutch Harbor. Staff and facilities are great. excellent location, good restaurants in the area. This has become our go to stop in newport Stayed again - always a good port in a storm

Very pleasant overnight with launch team super responsive. We did not get a chance to enjoy the facilities as we left early to catch the tide to Block.

professional staff, nice location

Dutch Harbor is our go to whether exploring Narragansett Bay or as a stopover going further east or west. It's quiet and laid back... but an east walk to pizza, supermarket, ICE CREAM, and more. It's also a further but easy walk to the busy side of Jamestown, where you can get the ferry to (much busier) Newport. Great staff, reliable launch, good clean showers and heads. Highly recommended. 2024 update: it’s still our go to. They’ve added a modest dinghy dock for transients… important for my canine crew who’s up before the launch start’s running.2026 update-still a go to but he first time we’re there with engine trouble. The yard was short one diesel mechanic, and recommended a contractor. All told we were there six nights (the first two over the weekend) until we got a fix.

Let me start by saying, " I love Dutch Harbor", it’s our yearly 4th of July destination, beautiful tranquil atmosphere, lovely sunsets, great swimming. I would like to thank TPG’s lovely staff for reading our reviews, they now have an area on the main shuttle dock to tie your dingy. Thank you TPG.

Great place to see fireworks all over the bay despite the thunderstorms. We will be back!
