AHYC was able to accommodate us with a last-minute mooring reservation on a busy holiday weekend. Very glad to have had this stopover.

We picked up a mooring just inside the breakwater and had a minimum of 10 feet of water depth. Great launch service that was prompt and worked until 2200 in the evening and was complementary. Fuel doc was also friendly and prompt. A charming town is located within 10 to 15 minute walk. A great stay.

AHYC Launch drivers are the best. Friendly and careful. Mooring held through strong squall, another boat at anchor dragged onto the beach. We were glad to be safe on the mooring.

Piggybacking on my previous review from a couple years ago. I love this place. Great spot with a wonderfully organized mooring area. Friendly employees, prompt, pleasant tender service. Close to Sandy Hook and its sights and beaches. Plus you get a great sunrise and sunset. Very enjoyable place to stay.

Very friendly and welcoming! Really nice yacht clubhouse. I was a bit skeptical about the showers/toilets but they were clean and nice. Had dinner and drinks at the yacht club twice - good food and prices. Nice running/cycling path just ashore. Sheltered harbor and outstanding launch service.

If you’re ok with mooring ball, then this is quite nice. Launch boat guys are friendly and good amenities including showers.Cute town.

We have been here twice and both times the experience was great. It’s a little pricey compared to other mooring fields, but the boat launch service is amazing and makes the price well worth it. The drivers are very friendly and responsive. The balls are in good condition and easy to catch. The town is a pleasure and has everything you need. One thing I would recommend is a map of the mooring field so you know where to find your ball, but that’s a minor comment.

Excellent stay easy in and out of mooring field. We had a ball by the break wall but never felt too close. Launch service is very good and quick. 15 minutes walk to the grocery store. Great attendant at the fuel dock. Only one night stay so didn’t use any facilities.

We love staying here. We’ve been here many times over the years. The launch captains are wonderful and very helpful. The town is quite nice with many restaurants to choose from and there’s a beautiful walking trail along the bay. Great sunsets and you can see New York City in the distance. It’s a great place to stop between ocean travel and a trip up the Hudson. It’s our favorite place to visit.

Absolutely the friendliest club ever!
Full service municipal marina adjoining the club.

Everyone was nice and courtesy. I was here during the off season, the launch boat on a limited schedule. Showers clean and simple with great water pressure. I would come back for sure. Thank you! See this fall!

Nice place with great views of Verazzano Bridge and NYC skyline. Friendly yacht club staff. Lots of dining options on shore.

This is a great place to stop on your way down the shore. I originally booked one night but it turned into three. The showers are clean with endless hot water. Very little wake if you're in the mooring field. The local restaurants are really good too. I will definitely make this a stop when I head back north in the spring.

Well protected harbor, friendly, efficient launch service. Jimmy the launch driver was the best. Loved chatting with him.

Friendly staff, nice launch service and close to grocery, restaurants and hardware but expensive at $65/night

The launch operator was efficient but not as welcoming as we would have deserved after the high $65.00 fee.

As always the AHYC is the place to go. The club house has all the amenities. Easy to walk into town and responsive launch service. The mooring field is well protected by a nearly .5 nautical mile sea wall with exits at both ends. This meant that no matter how windy it was there was virtually no wave action except boats transiting. The western entrance to the protected harbor was well lit but a bit tight if you look at the chart. The eastern end was also well marked and was the way we came in and exited. The mooring lines were double bridles and well able to handle my 33' 10,000# boat.
If you are looking for the idylic fishing village vibe with a responsive YC this is the place to overnight.
