As always, they were great to deal with and the pool and facilities very clean.
Great service, friendly staff, lots of amenities, and short dinghy ride to downtown Mystic. Highly recommended!
Up from Annapolis, we stayed here for 4 days over the 4th of July weekend. We had a family reunion with 24 family members and the staff was great letting us use the pool, tables, BBQ, and free paddle boards and kayaks for us all to have a great time with. With all that, there was plenty of room and enough kayaks and paddle boards for the other guests to use so no-one went away unhappy.
Upon arrival, the dockhand who helped us tie up was top-notch and put on the best show of lassoing a piling I have seen this side of a rodeo show. Our neighbors, both residents and transients were very friendly.
It is about 15 minutes walk to the center of Mystic and not a bad walk, you can also take your dingy in and tie up next to the drawbridge. You got to try out the Daniel Packer Inn for a great fine dining experience. For pizza, choose Angie's over Mystic Pizza (Angie's is where the movie was actually filmed and we prefer the pizza there as well).
We chose this marina to leave our boat for two weeks while we made a car trip back to Mississippi for a family gathering. We had called six or seven places. Mystic Shipyard actually returned our call and cheerfully said they could accommodate our 42-ft Beneteau with six-foot draft for the extended time. Top notch crew and skillful dockhands. Plus, Mystic is a great place to spend some time ashore, which we did after returning from our car trip.
A bit of a walk into town, but most go by dinghy anyhow. These are fixed docks with short fingers so be prepared (rumor has it they will be slowly converting to floating docks starting soon) the grounds and pool are park-like and the restrooms are clean - a high class opperation
Just a short walk up to the top of school street you'll find the Mystic Market West where you can get great sandwichs & hot lunch specials, baked goods, coffees... A wonderful gourmet market.
Or Just .6 miles away on Water Street (walk down Noank road) you'll find the Daniel Packer Inne, one of the best restaurants in Mystic. For more casual atmosphere try the downstairs pub.
Used Mystic Shipyard West for haulout of a boat I had surveyed. The travel lift operator was great and took great care in position the slings properly. They also did a very thorough job of cleaning the hull.
After the survey the boat stayed at their facility for a week and I did spend one night there. The heads were clean and the grounds were nice.
We got a slip here to visit Mystic during their annual Art Festival. Fixed docks and pilings. Very complete amenities, clean showers/laundry and nice pool. They have coutesy bikes if you care to ride. The dinghy ride to town is about 1/4 mile and a large dinghy dock awaits at the town dock. have a long painter available as there can be lots of dinks tied up already.
They seem to run a very sound yard as well... I may try them out in the future.
This is an older marina which appears to be going through some upgrades. They have fixed docks. David met us and made sure we were tied up properly. They have beautiful flower planters through out the property.
The bathroom facilities are acceptable.
It is about 2 miles from town so some sort of transportation is necesary. The marinA does provide bikes. There are no restaurants close by.
Have had a great experience here. The staff were right on the dock greeting us and assisting with tie up. The pool is very nice and the grounds well kept. Bathroom facilities are acceptable.
It's a bit of a hike into town (slightly over a mile) but a pleasant walk. They have bike rentals, but after looking over the bikes we decided to walk. A short dink ride to the public dinghy tie up in town is also a good option.
We would stay here again!
Perhaps it was because we are a cat that we had a much different experience. Placed at the end of A dock, not really a T. Power outlets already in use. Fixed dock with pylons between dock and boat. They have fenders in place on the dock but they are dirty and marked our boat. Non-transients seem to be very satisfied. Shipyard repair facility very good and responsive. No cable. No nearby shopping. Would rather anchor next time.
Beautiful flowers everywhere. Female head floor was not cleaned during our two day stay. Male head was clean. Bikes available free with small refundable deposit.

Nice facility, even has a pool (West Location). Friendly staff and dock hands to help tie up. Fixed docks are in good condition and it is located before any bridges. Use your dinghy to get into town and to the Seaport as that will save much walking. NIce place.
We have stayed here during our summer cruise for the past three years. Great facility,Excellect docks,Great location to Mystic,Staff 2nd to none.
Enjoy the tranquility of our riverfront swimming pool! Convenient to Fishers Island Sound and south of all bridges, Mystic Shipyard is located in one of New England's premier cruising destinations. The beautiful Mystic River is a serene, safe setting that has always appealed to mariners. Enjoy the resort type atmosphere of the Mystic shipyard throughout the season in convenient and protected slips.
