Craig couldn't have been more helpful getting me in and it was the perfect location for me. Docks are like new. Lots of great restaurants nearby. There is quite a bit of current through the river that you can't ignore.

Craig, the dock master, is extremely helpful and friendly. The location is good with a lot of restaurants to choose from and a nice park adjacent to the marina. The price can't be beat. The docks are nice. The kayak rental that operates out of the marina kind of took over the marina on Saturday using unoccupied slips and blocking the docks. The tidal currents can be tricky. Slack current lags the crest/bottom by about an hour. The bathrooms were usable but could use a little cleaning/freshening. The showers needed a cleaning. We knew there was no pump out at the marina, but as it turned out there was none to be had in the city. Of the two marinas in town that reported to have pump-out facilities, one was not doing it and the other wouldn't answer the phone or hail on the radio. That is not this marina's fault, but it is something to be aware of. Regardless, it is a nice facility and we would stay there again.

They actually sent a text with slip assignment and marina map. I wish more marinas would do this allows you time to plan out your docking. Close to restaurants and services

Reasonable price. You get the basics: power, water, shower, toilet. Surrounding area is well kept. Every shop owner we met was super nice. As most people comment, the docking is difficult in the strong current. Getting out of the slip was easier than anticipated.

Head a great stay, the harbor master Craig was very helpful. Despite or very windy visit to Morehead City, we were still able to see some of great things the city is doing on their waterfront. Great visit!

I've stopped here twice now, both during off-season (Late December and early February). The dock is very convenient to the ICW and reasonably priced. They have two functional showers that are behind code-locked doors. Restrooms have code locks but are left open and the public seems to use them. There are several restaurants and shops that are within close walking distance. I'm in a catamaran that has a 21 foot wide beam, so I don't fit into the 10 advertised slips, but they allow a side-tie to the last slip that can accommodate my beam. I'm not sure why, but the birds really seem to like that end of the dock, so it was a bit messy both times I stayed there. Both times I had rather late arrivals and early departures, so I don't think I've met the dockmaster in person, but he is very friendly and helpful on the phone. At "slip 11" the wifi signal is fairly weak, but I could get a tablet to connect when out in the cockpit. Speed was fair. Overall, it is a good place to get a nights rest when cruising down the ICW or staging to head out. I would stay there again.

A basic dock with typical commercial restrooms and showers. Everything was clean and very serviceable. I'd recommend to the city installing some coat hooks in the bathrooms but other than that, no complaints at all. Craig, the dock master, greeted us and gave us information about the town. He also confirmed what other people had said, when the current is running fast, this dock can be difficult to get into. It was slack tide when we got there so no troubles at all.

Great location and great facilities.

This stop has to be timed with slack tide. Town docks are getting a lot of bird droppings build up. The bathroom locks are no longer working so safety can be an issue as public can access after hours and it is showing as to being clean. Craig ( dock master ) is always quick to confirm dock request and following up to make sure we are all set . The dockage rates here are great .
