We had mechanical issues and contacted the marina to push back our stay 1 night. The VP was so rude in his response that we did not go at all.

Peaceful Anchorage close to town. Need to time bridge schedule but worth it.

About Martha's Vineyard Shipyard

We offer a wide range of services with exceptional customer care. We service all sail and powerboats, from the small dinghy to 25-ton yachts. With our eight workboats, four trucks, and three hydraulic trailers Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard has the capability to take care of our customers any where on the Cape and the Islands, and with knowledge and expertise to meet all of your servicing needs.

Established in 1856, Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard has over 150 years of maritime service. We began as a beachfront operation with horse drawn winches; during the Second World War we built barges and personnel crafts for the U.S. Navy; after this we progressed to designing and building the Vixen class boats. Finally, Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard progressed into today’s full service facility.

Built by our past the Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard’s staff has great knowledge and expertise in boating and marine service. If you’re looking for a boatyard that can offer the best year round service, then Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard is your boating destination.

Booking Info

Please note these moorings are located in the Lagoon Pond and through a drawbridge. The drawbridge opens on a set schedule outlined below The Drawbridge opens on the following schedule if they have boats that need to pass through: 8:15 AM, 10:15 AM, 3:15 PM, 5:00 PM, 7:30 PM.

The bridge tender needs to be called on Channel #69 on the marine radio to let him know you need to go through and should be given some notice (30 minutes to an hour). They won’t open if they don’t have any boats going through as it interrupts vehicle traffic.
