Safe Harbor Plymouth

We recently spent a couple nites at safe harbor Plymouth. The marina is clean and full service if you need parts or assistance in any way. The dock master , Steven , was a big help with pre trip info and was waiting on the dock for us when we arrived. We were told the face dock could be uncomfortable with a NE wind but we were fine. We found a ton of restaurants and bars walking distance from the marina.

Stayed at SH-PLY during recent storm (Lee). Was met at Marina entrance by Dock Master Steve and escorted to the absolute PERFECT slip for storm protection (Bow into wind; port side tie!)!! Steve, Assist. Mike & Entire crew couldn't have been more attentive to me and all other boaters there during those high-stress, pre-storm moments. Thank you!

Great stay. Our second visit in September 2023 was just as good as our first visit. Dock team amazing and thanks for a great stay in a wonderful marina and location.

They welcomed us, securing & plugging in, offering services if needed & allowed us to stay an additional night as a storm came in. Thanks Steve! Plymouth SH members are very friendly. We were invited & enjoyed their SH member barbecue.We will return & have already recommended SH Plymouth to fellow boaters.

A great marina with a staff who are focused on customer service. Imagine our pleasant surprise when a team member showed up this morning to collect our garbage. Are you serious? What a treat. Easy access because of the well written directions from the marina and a clearly marked channel. We loved the view and the location. How often can you sit on your boat and see a big part of history: - the Plymouth Rock Memorial and a replica of the Mayflower that was build in England and sailed across the Atlantic. Well done team. We appreciate your attention to detail and hospitality. We hope to be back.

This was our 1st Visit and we were impressed! The concrete docks are beautiful. The Staff was professional, welcoming and very knowledgeable!! The fire-pits and BBQ area are immaculate. The Laundry Room and Bathrooms are very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed dingy-ing around the Harbor and walking through historic Plymouth. This Marina is conveniently located to all of the Plymouth Activities. We will definitely return next year!

Steve and his crew are top notch! They are there to help you dock and setup and monitor the docks through the day asking if you need anything. A simple call on the radio or phone for supplies and they will bring it right to you! It is like staying at a resort. This is one marina I always enjoy visiting and look forward to our next visit.

Simply the best staff ever. The dock crew is the best in the business. Steve has a team that not only offers to help, but actually know what to do. It makes my wife feel more comfortable and the kids love the staff. The front office is wonderful too!!

Safe Harbor Plymouth goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service and their guests. Steve makes sure everyone is taking care of and there is always someone to help you with any of your boating needs. Very impressive.

I booked transient dock space last week for July 4th. It was an incredible experience. Mike the assistant manager was nothing more outstanding. Steve the manager was equally attentive. It was a very busy week, but they way the had everything organized, it did not feel that way. I wish I could dock my boat there all summer. I will be back and I hope those two will be working there.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Safe Harbor Plymouth! Special Salute to Dock Manager Steve - He worked his magic and found us a spot during a busy weekend! He and his team are the BEST!! Efficient, professional and super attentive and friendly, Steve and his team ensured all was right, and answered all our questions. Internet works! Nice bath house facilities. Restaurant on the property served us well. And such a wonderful setting! Thanks, Steve!!

Mike and his staff were great. Came out and caught us in the middle of torrential rain and fog. Every time we saw them they could not do enough to go out of their way to ensure we were doing good or if we needed anything.

Excellent facility. Steve the GM has a high attention to detail and customer service. Bathrooms/laundry facility were very clean, docks well maintained, and staff was very helpful. I needed to have a couple of trouble shooting issues reviewed and the Marina had a technician on the boat within two hours of arrival. Top notch marina

This is a really nice Safe Harbor, in a terrific town. Steve and the dockhands were very helpful. Spacious slips and areas around the docks. I will be back for sure.

Friendly staff, excellent facilities, great location. We pulled in after a sail over from Provincetown (first time here). After an uneventful tie-up and a shower, we enjoyed dinner at the marina restaurant (great views, great drinks, good food) and then a very picturesque walk down the beach road to an ice-cream stand. We had to leave early because of weather, and we were sad to go. Another great trip to Plymouth. Same great staff and service. Definitely will return.

Well managed marina, Facilities were great! and the restaurant on-site was good and fun. The dock hands on our arrival were great and accommodating. Entrance to the harbor is absolutely beautiful, just wished that the harbor master would make it a no wake zone at least at the turn heading towards the mooring field and marinas. It get pretty bouncy if you are at the long face dock during the day due to the boat traffic coming in at a pretty good clip but at night was just like a pond. Have been coming here for a few years now and will continue to do so! Thank you Plymouth Marina team!

Great place- only reason for 4 not 5 stars is they were very understaffed and left at least 1 boat in limbo for a paid slip. Will definitely be back!!

We absolutely loved our 2-night stay at Safe Harbor, Plymouth! The staff was so helpful and courteous from the moment I started communicating by phone a few days before our arrival. Once in the harbor, we were precisely directed, since there are shallow areas on either side of the fairway. Steve--indeed, the master of this establishment--and Mark, were there to greet us. They are proficient and warm and extremely accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed all of their recommendations about enjoying our time in Plymouth. The same was true for the rest of the staff--Mike, Will, Dan. I looked forward to conversing with them all --you could not hope for a better team! The facilities are clean and secure. The only thing we could have wished for was a little more night- lighting on the docks. The marina is lively and so perfectly located. We were on the facedock, with stunning sunset views of the harbor. "The Rock", The Mayflower 11, The Hill, lingering in the backdrop, providing anachronistic elements in a modern town. The light in this harbor is quite exquisite! We met some wonderful boat neighbors--people with whom we will keep in touch. We shall definitely return to Safe Harbor, Plymouth. Thank you, Steve and Team, for your expertise, professionalism, and graciousness!

Steve the marina manager/dock master was very accommodating. He originally had us on the outside docks but once the wind picked up, we were rocking and rolling and Steve went out of his wat to find is an inner slip. Steve and the dock staff were very helpful and profession. Every time I passed Steve he asked is there anything he could do for us. I go to Plymouth every year and Steve is always constantly helpful and there. He treated all transients as if they are members of the marina.

Excellent experience. Crew was at the slip waiting when we arrived and took great care of us.

Kudos to Steve and crew at SH Plymouth for a perfect, stress-free visit. Only issue we had was with a new electrical circuit. When it was discovered that it was not functioning as it should Steve immediately had it corrected. Additionally his dock team was exceptionally professional and looked sharp. Probably the most professional group I have experienced. It was clear that Steve was not only concerned for getting us docked, but also for enforcing safety for his team. Major kudos to you Steve! A lot of things can go wrong when docking a 187 gross ton boat, and your keeping an eye out for your team was spot on.

Beautiful slip, great folks-thanks Steve and Mike, nice harbor! Had a nice family dinner at the restaurant on the property, too. We will be back!

Marina is in a gorgeous location. Staff extremely helpful, friendly and kind. Docks are newer, wide and easy to navigate. Facilities are new and very clean. Close proximity to downtown area. Recommend asking for an inside slip as the outside dock can get a little rocky from boat traffic during the day. Will certainly be back!

Best docking experience I have had in 18 years of sailing. Every dock hand was friendly, helpful, capable, and offered to do more. Highly recommended!

This is a great marina in a great location. Plymouth is a fun place to stop over with lots to do and see. The park right across from the marina was a particular highlight. The best part about this marina was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We’d like to give a special shout out to Mike who was professional, helpful, and very friendly. Care should be taken approaching or leaving the marina if you are a sailboat. Water just off the end dock gets shallow very quickly. We saw a 50’ Jenneau run aground at low tide. Laundry facilities were super and free! A nice and unexpected bonus.We gave 4 stars rather than five due to the bathrooms which were small, dark, and not super clean. On several occasions the mens room’s single toilet was filthy.

The whole staff was great, very attentive and available! Truly a reflection of Dock Master Steve. Thanks for a great 4th of July weekend!

Had a great stay at SH Plymouth. Great dockhand assistance on a windy day. Facilities were very good. Restaurant on site is good also. Downtown Plymouth is right there, a good place to visit.

100% the nicest marina crew I’ve ever had the experience of working with. Stevie has an amazing set of dock hands who are more than willing to do whatever it takes to make the experience enjoyable. Big smiles and a friendly nature. We will definitely be returning with both boats soon.

This was our first time staying at Safe Harbor in Plymouth. Mike who helps run the docks and the other staff were great and very accommodating. They were very helpful at getting you in and of the docks safely. The facilities were very clean and in great shape. We will definitely be back.

The staff was absolutely awesome! Extremely helpful and a great experience! Dockmaster sent a helper to go grab my bumper that fell over - great crew. Very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit!

Another great stay on the way home to Marblehead. Lots of help with lines at the slip. Great place to meet other cruisers and exchange stories. Easy walk to great dining and supplies. We will definitely be back!

Our tallship had an excellent stay here. The staff and leadership of the Marina went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us whenever it was needed. We would highly recommend this facility to vessels of all sizes.

This Marina is the best - always there to help. Clean showers and bathrooms with a great restaurant on site as well. Been there 4 times and all stays have been superb ! Steve and the staff are excellent. Steve went out of his way to put me in a spot that I was comfortable. Offered advice to the new captain that helped out. IF you're a new captain and a bit timid, this is the place to come!

First impressions was not good. We had to call on the radio three times before we got an answer. On the second time they asked us to switch to channel 72. We did and they did not answer at all. Then when asked about docking the instructions were not clear. The said after green can 23 turn to port and you’ll dock in front of the sport fishing boats. Being our first time their we had not idea where the sport fishing boat dock. When we call back again they stated the dock hands with red shirts would greet and assist. As we approached we did see the red shirts. The dockhands were very helpful in docking and hooking up shore power. They were helpfully in telling us were the bathrooms, showers and laundry was. Plus the way to us the key cards. The facilities were nice clean and up to date. The docks were nice. We used the laundry as we felt the machines were clean and secure. The welcome bag was a nice, but the context not much to speak of. Not like the gifts from the SH in Hull, the gave us a cup, kooze and a key chain. Being a real tourist town they could have supplied Mayflower information, similar to the Boston brochure Hull provided. Overall we were pleased with our visit. It was disappointing that we could say there on our return trip back. No space available But we will try to stay there again on future trips.

Right on the waterfront, steps from the big sites (Mayflower/Brewster Gardens/Plymouth Rock (don't get me started on whether the rock is real, but given that Plymouth Harbor has a sandy shore, why on earth would you aim your wooden boat toward a rock??). The staff is friendly, the facilities are spotless, staying an extra hour to avoid poor conditions is not discouraged, and the dock has plenty of water and easily maneuverable slips. You do have to watch your depth if you draw more than 6 feet as you make your approach as there are shallows on both sides of the fairway. It makes sense to radio the marina for guidance if you've never been there before. Also, be on the lookout for kiddies learning to sail in little pram dinghies; they sometimes drift out into the fairway. Also, since the marina only offers docks for transient mariners, you're going to pay a lot more than for a mooring with the harbormaster. But those fill up fast, and anchoring in Plymouth Harbor can be a challenge (there's a nice spot over by the Cowyard, but that's a long dinghy ride to shore, and it's pretty exposed in there.)

Staff was very good . Nice to have the restaurant so close . (Rained for hours) . well protected. gas dock a little tight and busy. short walk to Plymouth rock and the mayflower .

Plymouth Harbor is always a fun place to visit and Safe Harbor Marine is a 1st class marina with a pleasant staff and excellent service department. On this trip we had the impeller on our Yanmar engine replaced on our 45 ft center cockpit sloop. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance and many tourist activities such as Mayflower II, Plymouth Plantations, Museums, historical cemetery hill.

Friendly and courteous staff when they tied my bow and stern line and I did not even have to retire they know their business just put on a spring line We were coming off the boat to go up with our trash and recyclables and two of the crew were walking by and asked if they could take our garbage and I recyclables for us up. Showers are clean water is hot. Made friends with the resident boaters in the short time we were here. One captain let me use his monster water hose and was able to clean up Babette nicely. Nice spot! Laundry machines are coin operated and nobody has quarters! Either add machine, stock quarters in the office, or switch to credit cards. We came in after a huge rainstorm and everything was wet!

Plymouth Safe Harbor is a well maintained facility convenient to town. The staff was expecting us and was there to handle our lines. The marina's customers were as friendly to transients as any we've encountered.

Stayed at Plymouth on July 30, 2020 and had an excellent stay. Service and amenities are top notch. There is so much to do and see in Plymouth, this is a great stop. I highly recommend this marina. Service staff is first class all the way.

Safe Harbor Plymouth was fantastic! We were there for 2 nights. Bridget was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Her staff was always willing to help. Everyone was very friendly. A great place to go! Thank you Bridget and staff for a wonderful stay!

Every year we do transient docking once or twice during the summer here at Safe Harbors Plymouth and are never disappointed. Such a courteous staff that exudes nothing but professionalism. Brigette the Dock Master, Cory from Management, and all the Deck Hands are so personal and accountable. The storm Fay was predicted to hit the weekend of our stay and the staff went above and beyond to protect each vessel, adding extra spring lines and securing loose items like lawn chairs on the dock, even towing small skiffs/zodiacs and relocated all outside transient docked vessels to a safer location. Thankfully the storm missed us but it was admirable to see this team in action to ensure all vessels were protected from any possible rough waters. Our last day of our stay the front office offered complimentary donuts and coffee, they were just as sweet as the stay. Safe Harbors really knows how to run a marina and what a great location. I recommend Water Street Cafe for breakfast and Surfside Smokehouse for lunch and a Mudslide or Pain Killer on the outside deck. Great sunsets, view of Plymouth Rock, and great fellow mariners to engage with. We will sure to revisit soon!

Very nice stay. We were located on the face dock and the only complaint I have is the tender boats coming form the PYC go a little to fast. Bridgette was wonderful. Very helpful! The showers were great and so was the laundry service. My wife, dog and I will be back! Thanks again SHP!

Great marina! Floating docks. Clean restrooms. Onsite restaurant. Walkable to lots of sites, restaurants and bars.

Docks were modern and in good shape. Staff were friendly and many local attractions including Plymouth Rock are a short walk from the dock. The reason for only 3 stars with 10 knots or more out of the N or NE or E the conditions on their face dock were extremely uncomfortable.

Great location to visit. We stayed one night to avoid the weather. Unfortunately we were on the outside dock which did not provide relief for 20-25 knot winds all night. Other than that we were met at the dock to help tie up and everyone was helpful and happy. There is a nice restaurant on site and a short walk to the town. We will definitely be returning to explore some more.

The online booking through Dockwa was smooth. The marina followed up with a pre-arrival email that provided all the needed information. The dockmaster was extremely professional, helpful and accommodating. The location is great. Close to downtown/historic area, restaurants (Water Street Cafe great breakfast place just outside marina, Surfside Smokehouse is right on property with views over the marina and great BBQ.

This marina is top notch. Chris, Bridget, and crew do a great job. I recently stayed here for a weekend and had engine troubles the morning we were to leave. A mechanic was at my boat 20 minutes later and spent the entire day getting me back up and running. The restaurant at the marina is delicious and fun, and there are numerous great restaurants and bars downtown, which is just a short walk or boat launch away. Highly recommended. -Jonathan

Outstanding Thank you

We arrived a little early to get ahead of the weather and the dock hands were hreat getting us settled. They helped us tie up and get power and water hooked up. Bathrooms and showers are in good shape. Good stop over on our way to Boston. Breakwater keeps things calm and the harbormaster strictly enforces the no wake zone.

Beautiful facility with easy access to town. Dock hands were very helpful and provided suggestions for lunch that were great. We will be back.

Outstanding. The dock chief and crew were very friendly, polite, and responsive. I wish I could give them 6 stars. There was a very good restaurant on site and the facilities were open 24/7 with a key card. Overall very clean and professional. Will definitely recommend and return.

We just spent a long weekend at the Plymouth, Safe Harbor Marina and could not of been treated any better. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The docks and facilities were above par and the marina is located in a beautiful, protected Harbor.. We will definitely be back here soon and recommend it to all of our boating friends

Clean, secure, very polite staff.

I have a 42´ sailboat. This is a very nice marina. Well protected. Beautiful harbor. I stayed for 2 nights, June 6-7, 2019, for issues with my alternator. I have been serviced rapidly by a competent technician. He worked after business hours on my boat. Much appreciated. They got the parts within hours. I highly recommend a stop at this marina. And do not miss walking the spectacular waterway of Plymouth.

We just spent two nights three days at the Plymouth Marina for the second year in arow. we had 8 boats and 43 people guest not staying on a boat stayed at the Bradford hotel. we had a fantastic weekend the staff and the other boat owners at the Brewer Marina were very accommodating and helpful, They could not have treated us any better. Our plan is to return next year again. Thank you for a great weekend. Bob
