Another lovely Stay
We were on mooring in a quiet cove all by ourselves.
It was magic.
Launch drivers were great
Can’t wait to return!
The first night was perfect.
The second they made move for the fireworks but it all worked out with the support of the Gloucester Harbormasters.
Great weekend As usual the Gloucester Harbormaster came through again finding me a last minute mooring so I didn’t have to sail back at night in a fog bank thank you guy’s

Stayed in the Inner Harbor, amooring 11, always a great spot. Launch service was a delight and the commercial activity is fun to watch. Shore options abound. Don't miss this place.

Always love staying in Gloucester. It was a busy place preparing for the Schoonerfest. It’s a favorite stopover of ours. Harbormaster and Launch folk are very friendly and helpful!
Stayed for a three days while a blow from the north and enjoyed the town. Pricing at $70/ nite on the high side. Overall very good
Mike again expertly guided us to the proper mooring and helped us with restaurant suggestions. The shower and bathroom facilities are brand new and immaculate. There is something for everyone in Gloucester between whale watching, walking tours and historic schooner charters. It’s still a working fishing town and the waterfront has that flavor. While not the prettiest harbor, the folks are genuine and happy for your visit. I encourage any cruiser to check it out!

Harbormaster was easy to work with, showing us exactly where our mooring was located. Surprisingly quiet morning for a working fisherman harbor. Enjoyed a flat calm night. Fun restaurants just off the reliable launch service dock.

Great mooring, easy to find with the given map before hand, and the pendant was secure. We stayed in the inner harbor. The rolling from passing boats wasn’t bad, and we enjoyed watching the activities of the harbor. The launch was very nice to use, drivers were friendly and timely. Showers and bathrooms were clean and looked almost new. Great marina for a base for exploring the town.

Launch operators were courtious and contientious. Nice location, Mooring balls in excellent condition. Note: You need to provide your own bridle if your boat requires one.

My stay was fine. The mooring balls were easy to locate and pick up. I did not go ashore, but I noticed that stores and services I would be likely to need were close at hand.

Such a fun harbor it’s like a Richard Scarry children’s book. Dingy dock is convenient and right near a fun downtown w tons of super tasty eateries to choose from. Also this harbor communicates so well- has a great map and numbering system w pendant moorings that are easy to find and grab.

We stayed for one night and it was great. The launch service was very convenient and readily available. The facilities at the dock were clean and easily accessible. Many shops and restaurants are a short walk from the Harbormasters dock. The inner harbor mooring area is near the commercial fishing operations, so boats came and went throughout the day and night but it was no bother for us, there was ample room for our 42’ boat.
About Gloucester Harbormaster
The City of Gloucester, through the harbormaster's office, rents 30 transient / visitor moorings for vessels up to 60 feet. They are located in the following three areas:
-The Inner Harbor, where the day-to-day hustle and bustle of a working waterfront can be enjoyed, is in close proximity to downtown shops and restaurants.
-The Southeast Harbor offers views of the mansions of Eastern Point, sunsets over the Western Harbor and the Boston skyline in the distance.
-The Western Harbor, off of Stage Head, is where the original settlers landed and dried fish. The harbor offers a beautiful view of downtown church steeples and the City Hall tower.
