Such a great marina. People were very nice and helpful catching our dock lines and tying up. Very easy right on Tdock Needed a place to duck out of inclement weather and this was perfect . Quiet area and a few restaurants but even quieter in off season early in the week. Would stop here again if I needed to .

We have a 47 foot sailboat with a 6' draft. The Sassafras River was easy to navigate and the Sassafras Harbor Marina has convenient T head docks for transients. We were able to borrow 2 bikes to bike up the hill to the Kitty Night hotel and restaurants.. incredible views of the harbor. The marina staff where kind and help, definitely worth a trip up the Sassafras River

We had a great time. Clean marina and facilities. Dock hands and office staff very helpful. Will definitely return next year for the parade and fireworks. Great food and drinks within walking distance.

We had another wonderful stay. Our old review holds.... We love staying at Sassafras Harbor Marina. Joe, the owner, and Susan, the dockmaster, take amazing care of the facility and always make us feel welcome and part of the family. We are so happy to have found this little gem.

Very very positive experience at this marina. We are sailors from Nova Scotia and wanted a marina to tuck into for a week because we had almost 1000 nautical miles behind us with little rest and we were having problems with our alternator. Joe arranged for an electrician the day we arrived and we were all fixed up by day two! Joe and Susan were extremely welcoming. The facilities are plentiful and very clean. The pool was fantastic and the members very friendly. We needed to provision and the nearest large grocery store was about a 15 minute drive, so Joe lent us his truck! Couldn’t ask for a better place to hang out for a week. We highly recommend staying here! S/V Chill Out - September 2023

What a lovely , warm and welcoming marina! Definitely one of our top stays as we do the loop!! Susan and Joe and the staff have been so helpful! The amenities are clean and spotless. The pool is huge and sparkling clean. The cafe is delicious, Maryland crab soup and cheesesteak!!! The Marina Store is very well equipped for all engine essentials, not to mention the gift side of the store! Such a hidden gem! Wi-Fi is good. We stayed on a T head and in spite of strong winds at night, we didn't lose any sleep. There is a drawbridge next door, but that quieted down after dark. Do not pass this marina by! The Sassafras River is lovely. Worth visiting!!!!

After my first 2 months there I was hooked. My wife and I started late 2013 season but once there it was great>very friendly> professionally run> the owner talked to me every time and a fully stocked marine store, pool and the granary is in walking distance
I was so impressed that I am there for the entire 2014 season.

Welcome to the Sassafras, where the water’s fine and the clock always seems to move just a little bit slower. Whether you’re a local salt or just drifting through, Sassafras Harbor Marina is your year-round port of call for good vibes and great service.
You’ll find us tucked seven nautical miles up the Sassafras River—just keep a weather eye out on your port side as you approach the bridge. Whether you prefer the freedom of our floating docks, the stability of a fixed slip, or the shade of our covered sheds, we’ve got a spot waiting for you to tie up and wind down.
Navigating Your Stay Checking In: During the season, we’re on deck from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Give us a shout on VHF Channel 16, and we’ll switch over to Channel 71 to talk shop. No radio? No problem. Give the office a ring at (410) 275-1144.
The Ship’s Store: Located in the Business Center, our store has everything you need to keep your vessel ship-shape and Bristol fashion. From maintenance essentials to special orders delivered within two days, we keep the prices fair so you can keep the adventure going.
Sassafras Harbor Café: Just a short stroll from the docks, the Café serves up lunch seven days a week and breakfast on the weekends. It’s the perfect spot to fuel up before heading back out to the blue. Reach them at (410) 508-0271.
The Dinghy Dock: Easy access for those coming ashore! You’ll find it right along the bulkhead between B and C docks.
Amenities & "Island" Living Poolside Paradise: Take a dip in our 30’ x 50’ pool, open daily from 10:00 AM to dusk (weather permitting). Grab a seat under the pergola and enjoy the breeze—just remember, no glass in the pool area, and keep an eye on the little sailors (under 14s need an adult escort).
The Activity Center: Located right by the pool. The first floor is all about friendly competition with pool, ping pong, and air hockey. Upstairs, you’ll find a lounge and kitchenette for when you need to relax out of the sun.
Laundry & The Book Nook: Refresh your wardrobe and your reading list. Our 24-hour facility is located between the restrooms on the lower level of the dockside building.
Stay Connected: High-speed wireless internet is available throughout the marina, so you can send those "wish you were here" photos with ease.
Full-Service Care Service Department: If your boat’s feeling a little weathered, our pros are here to help. With a 70-ton travel lift and expertise in gas/diesel engines, electronics, and prop reconditioning, we’ll have you back on the water in no time.
The Essentials: You’ll find ice (7lb bags and 10lb blocks) under the steps of the restroom building—just settle up at the office. For the trash, we’ve got dumpsters by the service shop and "A" Dock to keep our harbor beautiful.
Pets – We love our furry four legged boaters' also, and pride ourselves on being pet friendly – but pets that are not on your boat must be leashed at all times. Our dog walk area is located on the north side of George Street. Please do not walk your dog in the grass or landscaped areas along the docks or bulkheads. Dog waste should be placed in the dumpsters, not in the small trashcans. Only small pets are allowed in the Ship's store. No pets are permitted in the pool area, activity center or restrooms.
Grilling - We love to grill too! Just not on the docks or boats (unless it is an electric grill). We have charcoal grills located in several areas throughout the marina by our picnic tables.
Approach – Enjoy your scenic view of the beautiful Sassafras River as you cruise up to the marina. Once you enter into the No Wake Zone – hail us on Ch. 16.
