I'm a member here, but I'm not lucky enough to have a permanent slip. I uses transient slips throughout the year, and occasionally live aboard for a night or two. NYC has very nice, recently renovated facilities. The restrooms and showers are available 24x7, and only a short walk from the docks. The dock steward and club steward are very professional, accommodating, and well organized. The club has a nice lounge with a beautiful view and decent, reasonably priced food. Lounge hours can be unpredictable.

I would recommend Newport Yacht Club highly. The facility was quite nice. Location which is at the heart of Newport is also a plus. The club members and staff were also very helpful and accomodating.

great location but price exhorbitant.... not very friendly to transients

Hi – we are sorry you chose to stay at our docks, though you could have gone to any other marina in the harbor with less exorbitant prices. Considering you almost hit another dock and two other vessels upon your arrival, we think we remained quite friendly during the situation. We would also appreciate it if our transient guests respected the club rules regarding member sticker parking only in our lot, rather than trying to argue with our staff about it. Good safe docks within walking distance of all the entertainment in town and right next to the dock for the harbor water taxi. It would have been nice if they gave us the code to the back door to be able to use the bathroom in the morning before they open the clubhouse house though

This is always a good stop for me. Everyone is helpful and my docking skills have improved greatly since the last review a few years ago!! The showers are clean and lovely. I like access to food on site so I didn't have to go wandering after racing the boat that day.
