Marina was really nice, staff was AWESOME! So helpful and accommodating. The pool was great too, would definitely stay here again!

Stopped in here for a few days on my way to Cuba, the hospitality of the staff is unparalleled. The owner even helped me make some minor repairs on my boat. They also have a greenhouse and a badass tiki hut for socializing. The one star review must have come from some dog hating kook.

We looked to rent a boat from a company located at this Bahia Mar West Marina.
We found the marina had dogs running around with no owner present.
A large dog charged us when we got out of our vehicle to check out the boats. Apparently it was the dock masters animal. The dock master acted as if were a joke and didn't not put the animal on a leash.
We found other major issues like restroom access and parking.
You may want to find another location other then Bahia Mar West for you and your family rent a boat safely.

We are a family owned and operated marina and strive to provide a wonderful experience for all with a safe, comfortable, and family vibe. We try to support locals and work with other small businesses. Some of which are boat rental companies and although rented boats may leave from our marina, they are separate businesses who we try to remind of our guidelines while on the premise. We don't enjoy receiving any complaints, especially ones due to other businesses making us look bad. Our dock master doesn't even have a dog so we would love for you to give us a call sometime to further understand your experience and find out which company you dealt with so we can reach out to them for improvement.
As for your complaints with us, we are working improving parking and we recently switched our restrooms to be accessible only by a code provided to guests and members to help resolve complaints and improve cleanliness. However, we do apologize for any inconvenience.

Nestled off of the beautiful Sarasota Bay— Bahia Mar West Marina is located along Florida’s Gulf Coast; south of Tampa and north of Sarasota, in “the friendly city” of Bradenton, FL. Conveniently located near SRQ airport, shopping, peaceful parks, fine dining, arts, entertainment, and just 10 minutes from the bustling downtown, Bahia Mar West is a publicly accessible waterfront facility that offers access to the water and provides space to dock and store boats amongst many other amenities.
In 2020, this establishment was bought by new owners who saw Bowlees Creek Marina’s potential. With a vision to provide both locals and boaters a new “must go” destination, it was rapidly rebranded as Bahia Mar West. Although it’s just the beginning— many updates, improvements, and amenities have been added.
