Docking was fine but paid for 2 hours for 45 minutes stop.
Marina Response:
We charge what is requested and do not automatically refund if you decide to leave early. If you would like to contact us privately to let us know how we misled you or overcharged you, we are always happy to investigate what may have happened and rectify it. Was there an intentional overcharge or did you simply finish your business earlier than planned? I have no messages in the past 2 months asking for consideration of this situation. Please contact us to let us know what happened and how we can rectify.

Great stop, first time in Marblehead. Beautiful harbor and town, short walks from shore to dining, shopping, groceries, etc. Excellent parks for dog walking. Very accommodating and helpful crew at the Harbormaster's office. There is a pumpout boat that works the harbor at least on the weekends and launch service if you need it. Not much room for dinghies but we never had trouble, apparently everyone else was using the launch.
Marina Response:
Thank you for the great review. Launch service is included with the price of the moorings so you are correct that most use the launch service. Hope to see you soon!

Mooring location is good, if almost too close to the busy town landing. Oddly, the no-earlier-than check in time of 3pm coincides with the harbormaster office closing time, however the mooring number and facility codes are identified in the welcome email. Bathhouse is immediately behind the landing, with a single toilet per gender paired with a shower (use of shower ties up the toilet), however here are additional pubic toilets at the nearby ferry dock. During our stay there was no toilet paper in the men's room and supply cabinet was locked, so recommend checking before use. The proximity to the historic old town is excellent
Marina Response:
Our crew is on until 11pm 7 days per week. You can always send a message through the app 24/7 or hale the crew on channel 16. We are a small municipal harbormaster office without funding for a fulltime dockmaster/24/7 office person. I am sorry this happened and we are taking steps to make sure facilities are checked more regularly; this is not usually a problem. We are the second largest mooring field in the state, the sailing capital of the world and a very historical, busy working harbor. I am sorry if you found boat traffic an issue, not much we can do about that. I hope you will come back, but we understand this harbor is not for everyone. Weekdays are a bit more quiet.

The outer harbor is not the best for good night sleep, but otherwise a great experience
Marina Response:
We understand and give bold, lettered warnings on our website. We also message before booking the outer harbor to reiterate the uncomfortable nature of the moorings. We have 3 large inner harbor moorings available for up to 55 LOA I assume they were not available or your vessel was over 55'. I apologize for the night's sleep but we really do everything we can to give fair warning.

We love the town dock in Marblehead. It is central to town and restaurants. There is also a wonderful store, Crosby’s, in easy walking distance. The personnel from the Harbormaster’s team are competent and really helpful, and couldn’t be nicer. And you can see all parts of one of the most wonderful protected harbors in the world. We try to always stop on our way north and south on our way to Maine.
Marina Response:
We always look forward to your visits...see you soon! Thank you again, I meant to come down to say hello but I missed you. See you soon!

The whole process was very smooth and easy. The docks at the Marblehead Harbormaster are well laid out and well marked. There is usually a cheerful helping hand to assist with your tie-up. The showers and washer facilities are clean and well maintained. Best of all, you're within easy walking distance of great dining options and historic old town Marblehead. What's not to love!
Marina Response:
Thank you, we loved having you!

Loved Morblehead! The mooring was easy to find and in a great location. Lots of things are walkable from the Harbormasters location. Recomend The Landing for lunch or dinner (try to reserve ahead if you can) Facilities were simple but adequate. Would highly recommend. We will be back.
Marina Response:
We appreciate your visit and kind words. Hope to see you son!

Our stay could not have been better. Everyone in Harbormaster office friendly, helpful & professional. We loved our location on dock 3 right by laundry, showers & coffee machine. All helped by fabulous weather & ahead of “the season/ crowds”. Thank you.

Marina Response:

$8 for an hr and half to go eat lunch and patronize their businesses seems out of order. We won’t be back.
Marina Response:
Are you sure you are talking about our docks? We charge $12 per hour for docks and $8 per hour for moorings including launch service. It seems we gave you an unofficial off-season discount. Unfortunately, we have very limited space for transient visitors and we have done surveys in the area for pricing which keeps us in line with other small marinas. I will do additional research and see if we are out of order. Thank you for your feedback

Quality docks as usual.
Marina Response:
thank you, hope to see you soon!
