Love this harbor. A lot of historic sites in walking distance as well as a great market nearby. The Harbor Master crew are so friendly and welcoming. Facilities are nice

Easy access docks and well marked. Our only issue was that we reserved for two hours from 6pm-8pm. As boating goes, we arrived around 6:25pm. I asked if we could get two hours from arrival time? The response was "you reserved from 6pm-8pm, would you like a third hour?" Not very accommodating in my estimation.

As a first-time user of the DockWA my wife and in-laws decided to visit the Marblehead harbor and have lunch at The Landing.
A big shout out goes to Terri Tauro, Department Administrator Marblehead Harbormaster. Terri was extremely helpful as I had a number of questions.
I found the harbor access clearly marked and the docks themselves are very well maintained and provide clear visibility from the water on approach so you can easily find your dock assignment.
All in all, Marblehead Harbormaster and team provide a five-star rating.

Really amazing customer service from the harbormaster and crew. The “outer harbor moorings” are seriously out there … like on the edge of the Atlantic… but if you need to be in Marblehead, don’t hesitate and you will be very well taken care of!

Although no wind the mouth of the harbor mooring was very bouncy as they advertised.

We do everything in our power to warn you about the outer harbor moorings including posting on the website and contacting you individually through Dockwa messaging before confirming the reservation. Unfortunately, we are a busy, crowded, working harbor without many available large moorings inner harbor. We do have one inner harbor mooring for up to 50' that must be requested via "special request" which is posted on our page. Please do not judge us by the outer harbor moorings. Moorings are close to town dock and facilities are very nice and right in town. Best to use a dinghy as launch service is expensive

We love the town dock in Marblehead. It is central to town and restaurants. There is also a wonderful store, Crosby’s, in easy walking distance. The personnel from the Harbormaster’s team are competent and really helpful, and couldn’t be nicer. And you can see all parts of one of the most wonderful protected harbors in the world. We try to always stop on our way north and south on our way to Maine.

Phenomenal experience. The harbormaster team was tremendously responsive via the app, and willing to answer questions. They were flexible when we had to stay a day longer due to weather. Facilities are simple but clean. Gorgeous harbor! Can’t wait to come back.

The communication with the Dockmaster was excellent. We were told in advance that we would have a mooring bouy at the back of the anchorage and that this would be affected by adverse weather and passing traffic. The mooring bouy was solid. Unfortunately alot of motor boats and fishing vessels did pass by creating wake instead of using the designated channels. The town is very historic and we enjoyed some delicious meals ashore.

Tucker's Wharf does not have slips but linear floating docks, 5 guest moorings in our inner harbor with a 40' maximum length with the exception of HM-3 that is a special large inner harbor mooring that holds up to 50' but is $100 per night. 5 at the mouth with a 60' maximum length. We have 30/50 amp power and water on our docks. Shower and laundry facilities and a small galley providing a coffee pod system, toaster oven and microwave. Dinghy tie-up for our guests is included in the basic price for a mooring and marked on our reserved docks with a yellow cleat.
Located a short walk to Marblehead's "Old Town" historical sites, restaurants, grocery store, package store, boat supply and many other unique shops.
Marblehead is one of the most picturesque harbors in the country and is known as the "Sailing Capital of the World" and the "Birthplace of the American Navy".

HOURLY DOCKAGE/MOORAGE:
-Maximum 3 Hours -Please enter arrival time and how many hours you are looking to stay in the "Special Request" section. Our Dockmaster will edit the rate to meet the request if space is available. Please note that no cash will be accepted and any stay past the time reserved will be subject to a non-refundable rate of an overnight stay based upon the daily rate. -Dinghy tie up is included in the basic price of your mooring and provided on tucker’s wharf docks #1, 2 and 3 on the yellow cleats at the ends of docks.
- Please be Advised: Dinghies are to be securely rafted alongside your vessel, NOT hanging off the stern.
- Please review our cancellation policy within the ""Info"" section below before completing your reservation request. There is a 3-night minimum applied to any reservations booking over the 4th of July holiday (7/2-7/4).
Vessel Restrictions
- Maximum LOA on inner harbor moorings is 40’
- Maximum LOA on Outer harbor moorings is 60’
Outer harbor moorings can be uncomfortably rough at times.
If your vessel is 40’ or over, you will AUTOMATICALLY be placed in the outer harbor
No vessel under 40’ will be placed in the outer harbor without prior contact from the marina.
The Town of Marblehead is providing a Sling Lift for public use to boaters at its State Street Dock, starting May 1st, 2023. The lift will assist people with mobility limitations to board boats. No reservations are necessary, use is free, and instructions for use are on the dock. A sling is provided or users may use their own sling.
