I stayed at Hudson Point Marina on the advice of a few cruisers I met down the coast. It was good advice. I'm doing the Loop and HPM made a great base for me to visit family in Manhattan. There is a $10 ferry to Manhattan just a two-minute walk from the marina. While they don't have dockhands waiting around, they will send one down if you need help. I found, my new neighbors were out willing to catch a line anyway. The marina also provided me with names/addresses of all the right businesses in the area. Stores, restaurants, transportation, etc. Darian, the manager, is accessible, responds promptly, and is very accommodating. (Thank you, Darian!) Lastly, considering where this marina is and the alternatives, HPM was a bargain, too! Definitely, I would stay here again.

This location is a gem! Short walks to the PATH transit (to get to NYC), Whole Foods and restaurants. Docks are in great shape. One bathroom/shower for marina but we never had to wait. Would stay here again 👍

We are so glad you stayed with us and thank you for your review. it is nice to have access to the ferries and path train to Manhattan. Have a great fall!by Bill M. - Verified user on Jul 18, 2026
No answer on VHF so have to look up the number and call via cell. Wait for someone to finally answer. Not good as there is a lot of ferry traffic on the canal and other boats to look out for. Dockhand had no clue on how to grab lines and tie them off. Had to yell to get his attention. Slip was fine once we docked but the amenities are few. Single restroom and shower is beyond the marina gate.
Marina Response:
Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations.
Our marina is located in Jersey City, a busy harbor area, but the marina itself is set back from the main boat traffic. As a larger vessel, you were assigned a T-head slip, and a deckhand was available to assist both you and the accompanying boat upon arrival.
We are conveniently located within walking distance of the PATH train, ferry service to Manhattan, restaurants, and local shops. While we currently have one restroom facility, we strive to keep it clean and well maintained.
We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to improve the experience for all our guests.by JON E. - Verified user on Jul 08, 2026
Fantastic marina and a great stay!
Such an easy place to get to and a great setting. It's a mix of city and suburban serene. It has become our Go-To spot around NYC. Great family-run marina with some long-term residents that are very friendly. We have been there several times and just keep finding excuses to go back.
UPDATE:
Stayed there (again) over the 4th weekend. Such a great location and marina with a community feel. We were between two full-time residents and when a seasonal boat returned with a serious issue, everyone rallied to help ensure that the boat stayed afloat. Felt more like a community coming to the aid of a resident than anything else. The marina manager was also fantastic in a crisis and quite literally kept the boat afloat. Just a testament to the environment and people. It absolutely remains my go-to near NYC.

Perfect location to get to restaurants, market etc and using the ferry to Liberty Landing was easy. Docks are nice too. One bathroom/shower for the marina was a little tough. My only complaint is that it should have said there was no docking help available.

Thank you for your review and for staying with us. We apologize that our dockhand was unavailable upon your arrival. As a small marina, we work hard to provide every guest with an enjoyable experience. We also provide a local guide featuring popular attractions and favorite local spots to help guests make the most of their stay. Great location! Access to ferry’s and trains close to the marina. Renee was awesome help from the minute we arrived. Gave us the nickel tour that was worth more than a nickel. Thank you!!!

Small nice marina in Jersey City across from Liberty Landing. Great communication from the nice lady in the office regarding places to see, eat etc and the gate and bathroom codes. The owner came to see us personally once we got in. Reason for 4 stars is they only have one bathroom/shower for the whole marina and it is ok but not great. Also we did not have anyone there to help us dock, which we did ok but if windier or had more waves from all the ferries that come in/out of that channel it could be very tricky. There is not much area to walk the dogs for green space. There is a "park" area about 3 blocks away but there is not much grass and is busy with other dogs off leash. It is in the heart of things with the transportation options and quiet at night minus the ferries running all the time. Gated is good because there are a lot of people that walk by. Seems to be in a decent neighborhood but it was just not our vibe. There does not appear to be an office onsite and fuel/ships store etc is referred across the channel at Liberty Landing. Good easy in/out of the marina. Good for a one night stay unless you are big city people. It is not listed on the WWGuide at this time but hopefully being corrected. Google it and the info comes up.

An excellent experience in many respects. Easy booking. Met on the dock to assist. Location is excellent. Docks are in good order. Power, water are on the dock and ready to use.
It is a bit odd not having a physical office presence. All business is conducted by phone or on Dockwa. The single washroom is heavily used and was very wet and soiled when I went to shower. Sure would be nice to have laundry.

A friendly place with a perfect location. They let us come in early and gave us a helpful list of local shops. The location is serene with beautiful views of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Docking was easy with virtually no current.

Ideal stay when I was passing through NYC. Exceptionally responsive and accommodating. I’m a delivery captain, and I see countless marinas. These guys are among the very best. Very mom and pop like in a major city. These guys truly care that you have a perfect stay. This is my go to marina when I’m in the area.

Highly recommend!!! Right in the heart of a great neighborhood, bustling with activity. Many, many great restaurants in walking distance. Whole Foods is also an easy walk so it’s great for provisioning. Close to the PATH station and all NYC has to offer. Easy communication even in the late evening. All staff are extremely responsive. Our number one marina in the NY area.
