We had been out on the ocean for 5 days, and decided to come in to Linekin Bay Resort, on two moorings, (two boats traveling together) to be able to take showers, and possibly eat at a restaurant. This was Saturday, Sept 19, 2026. There was a wedding scheduled to start at 1:30 pm, and end at 4:00pm. Once we got settled on a mooring, we called for a launch to take us in for showers, and dog walking etc. It was then that we were told we could not use the showers until after 4:00 pm. We were disappointed, but were ok to wait. So at 4:00 we called back for the launch and were then told we could not use the showers, or really any of the facilities on land, until after 8:00pm. They also informed us that the restaurant was closed to the public for the evening, since the wedding party was using it. The launch service also closed at 8:00 pm, so we were forced to not take showers, which was the only reason we opted to pay for a mooring at that point in our trip. We did get the launch to take us in so we could walk our dog, but we had to slink around the wedding party. I am quite disappointed with Linekin Bay Resort restricting us in this manner. I can understand wanting to keep the wedding private, but they should have set up facilities for the boaters to get to, away from the wedding events, such as a shower/laundry house. Or, they should offer a considerable discount to boaters on these event days.
Linekin management, if you are reading this, will you please refund us for the inconvenience you put us thru? We paid for two moorings that night, and used no land based services. We took the launch in once, and I tipped the launch driver $11.00.

Great moorings, fun bar, great restaurant, well worth a visit. A neat and tidy well run resort. Fabulous Wedding venue.

In the past, a mooring would come with breakfast and full use of the facility. This made it a wonderful stop for us with our young daughter. A few years ago the breakfast was no longer included, and this year now use of the swimming pool is not included. It’s no longer feeling like a sailing resort, more of a general resort. After one night here this year we’ve switched to nearby Smugglers Cove, which has a great and friendly staff and allows mooring customers full use of the facility, including the pool. Plus, it’s cheaper and far less crowded. Bring back use of the pool for mooring customers and we’ll be back!

Lovely spot in Linekin Bay, very quiet. Resort was having a wedding so our access to shore was limited (they let us know before booking, and applied a 10% discount for), which meant no idea what the shoreside services look like. Moorings were well spaced. Very protected from wind, but a little exposed to a S/SE swell, and the combo left us rolling on our beam a bit. Not sure how that would look with different weather. Overall a much quieter spot away from the bustle of Boothbay Harbor if that’s what you’re looking for. Access to facilities on shore would likely raise this a bit.

Easy entrance in heavy fog. Launch brought us in for delicious dinner at LBR Restaurant. Took nice walk along wooded road.

Spectacular facility and views, I was concerned about the ground tackle on the mooring but the staff said they can all accommodate a 62 foot boat. Lots of weddings during the summer so we weren’t able to have dinner at the restaurant and we slept too late for breakfast buffet but I’ve heard it’s amazing.

Our stay was terrible. Upon arrival I called the Resort on Ch 68 and asked for mooring number as I had made a reservation that morning. The first response from the Resort informed me that they could not help me at the time (it was ~3pm). After several repeat non productive inquires over the next 15 minutes I eventually just picked up an empty mooring. At about 4pm I called the resort on CH68 to request a pickup. For the next hour I made multiple calls on the VHF with no response. I called the resort's front desk several times and was told repeatedly that the water front was staffed till 8pm. I left several VMs on the waterfront's number but never got a return call that evening or in the morning after. As a result I never got to check out the facilities.
The mooring charge was $65 which I feel is a total rip off considering the totally lack of service I received.

The staff was easy to work with and efficient. The launch runs until 8 PM and is very convenient. It's a nice place to stop for lunch or dinner at their restaurant. It is much quieter and calmer than Booth Bay Harbor. The only drawback is that the area has no regular taxi service, Uber, Lyft, etc. So the only way into Booth Bay Harbor is the free trolley that runs once every hour; or walk (35 min).

Great anchorage! Friendly staff easy access to shore by launch . Clean mooring pennants and easy to get to. Quiet side of Boothbay area . We will be back for sure . Launch drivers are friendly and skilled at there craft

Nice moorings/resort. Fairly well protected except with south winds had a little bit of roll. Resort needs to do a better job of letting those booking moorings that the restaurant will be closed before booking. During our 9 day stay the restaurant was closed 3 days for private events. Also note the resort has changed their policy and those on moorings are no longer able to use the pool.

Clean, nice Family resort. Would bring family by land too. Good walk to Boothbay and nice Trolly ride back. Breakfast delicious and included. Looking forward to our next visit.

Nice place in general. The nearby moorings are too close together for even a 30’ boat but the dock master was able to accommodate a move to a mooring further out. 17 moorings now but still one shower so definitely a wait at peak times. No water on the dock like many places on the Maine seacoast now. Food is good.

We stayed on a mooring 1 night.It was such a unorganized shit show to get the mooring, we decided not to try customer service in the restaurant.

Stayed on a mooring for two nights. Ate at their restaurant/bar. Service was excellent and food was very good. Staff was very friendly and we used their launch a couple of times as well as our dinghy. Will come back again. A nice quiet alternative to Boothbay Harbor.

Lots of roll at mooring in late evening. Launches were small and wet even in calm conditions. Drivers not very skilled. Hand braces stuck out from launch and scraped our hull.

Linekin Bay Resort has 17 deep-water moorings, located West of the main dock in Lewis Cove in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
Overnight Rate: $65 per night per mooring (includes launch service)
Dock Staff & Launch
The Linekin Bay Resort Waterfront maintains a presence on the dock from 8am-8pm (or sundown when it is earlier) from May 18th to October 14th. During this time, you may ask the dockhands, dockmaster, and/or launchtender for assistance in landing your boat at the dock, making restaurant reservations, obtaining ice for an extra fee, or any other needs that might arise. We aim to provide launch service during these same hours, but availability may be limited during the shoulder seasons.

Some amenities, including the restaurant, may be unavailable on select weekends when the resort is hosting a private event. Our waterfront team will provide ample notice when this is the case.

You are welcome to bring your vessel to the dock for loading or repairs during weekdays, but the sail shack needs to be contacted first. Please alert the dockmaster on duty so that we can ensure we have room for you and can help you land. All boats must be off the dock before 11:00 am. Be aware that there is a ledge southwest of our main face dock that dips below 6 feet during astronomical low tides. Approach from the east whenever possible.
Dinghies may be left on the inside of either the Main Dock or East Dock. If you are unsure of the best spot for your dinghy, please ask the dockmaster on duty.
