Excellent experience. Nice location and facilities. We used fuel, water, pump-out, shower facilities, and a mooring. Jillian, our dock attendant, provided A-1 service and assistance...above and beyond! Highly recommend Journey's End.

Gary was super helpful, great service, very nice guy - gave good food reco’s. The marina is walking distance to the heart of Rockland, and it’s sort of fun being near the Coast Guard. We will be back!

Clean, practical marina. Close enough to main st for restaurants/bars. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bathrooms/showers were very good. Great place :-)

Best part is convenient access to Hamilton Marine and downtown shops. Staff is friendly, facilities are fine, and doing laundry is on the cheaper end.

Helped us out today with a bilge pump issue which we needed to address before leaving Rockland. They fit us in Immediately and gave us outstanding service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

JEM was pricey for the services proved; then had to use coin operated showers to boot!

Staff were great, and accommodating which we needed because we had an engine issue. Dock building was clean and neat. Laundry machines were beautiful and inexpensive. Showers looked beautiful, tho I didn’t use them.

The professional workmanship at Journey's End Marina is outstanding. They completed our maintenance work and looked for any additional problems that we may have overlooked. The marina feels like a working yard, but is a short walk to downtown with plenty of choices for restaurants and shopping.

The dock was smattered with seagull poop... nasty! It would also be helpful if the bathroom code was on the Dockwa reservation.

Journeys End Marina did an excellent job managing a high volume of yachts large and small coming and going all weekend. They were welcoming, communicated well and offered excellent support when needed. The showers, laundry and lounge areas were clean and accessible. We would definitely stay again.

Stay was fine. We came in around 6 on Sunday afternoon. We realized they closed at 4 on Sundays so we reached out to them around 3 PM to get our slip assignment and other details. No one answered the phone or the radio. Long story short, we grabbed an open spot and tied up for the night but no one ever answered the phone or the radio. Next morning I went to check in and the dock master immediately asked me when we were planning to leave as he had a ton of boats coming in for decommissioning. I said check out was at 11 so we were planning on leaving around 11. He asked if we could leave at 9 and I said no, as far as I was concerned the check out was 11 and . We finally negotiated 10:30 but I didn't appreciate the rush to get us out of there.

Definitely a full zervice marina with extensive parts inventory and knowledgeable staff. Fuel docl is deep inside the marina requiring backing in, but dock boys were at the ready. Rockland harbor is a bit exposed and too many boaters don't slow down when rounding the corner, making it a little rolly even in good conditions. Nice laundry facilities and showers too.

Great facility and crew. Close to town and restaurants.

by DyAnn D. - Verified user on Aug 01, 2021
The town has a few restaurants and shops but everything closes early and most not open on Sunday. We arrived on Sat. and was too late to get provisions at local market and they were closed on Sunday. The Marina did not stock drinking water..and the showers are .25 per minute. Didn’t know that when I went to use it. After docking and settling in, we were asked to move because another boat was coming in. After pulling up at gas dock we were told to move because that one only had diesel. Overall not a good experience.

Always a great safe and secure location. Attentive staff and decent facilities.

by Barry D. - Verified user on Aug 19, 2020
Everything was fine. Friendly and efficient staff. Clean facilities. Located close to town. However, it is really a boatyard and and not a “marina” in the sense what many people expect. So, if you want luxury, go elsewhere. If you want a nice clean facility, by all means, stay here. Here is one example of not being a marina. In the clean heads where the showers are, hot water is $.25 per minute.

This was one of many visits to Journeys End over the past several years, however, things were quite different due to Covid-19. We were given a face dock slip opposite the Pilot boat. The staff met us and helped with out lines, however, they did not offer to assist with shorepower hookup and were not aware that the pedestal next to our boat was not functioning. I had to try several hookups to come to this conclusion, report this to the dockhouse and call the dockhouse for an extension cord. We ultimately had to attach to the Pilot boat pedestal. In addition the wifi coverage in this part of the marina was abysmal and basically non-functional. It was disappointing to be unable to connect to functioning wifi without walking to the dockhouse and staying there on site. I would think that in this day and age and the availability of wifi signal boosters, this situation could be remedied. I was also concerned about the lack of use of PPE masks by the dockstaff.

Marina had modern floating docks and the staff were friendly and helpful. Rockland has a lot to offer with the Wyeth and Maine Lighthouse museums. Location is very convenient to both and to restaurants. However we have a dog and the walk to the pottie area was very, very long. Also during our stay we had winds out of the North to East at 10 kts, which made for a very rocky stay.

Journey's end has great facilities and great staff, always very helpful to their guests. We wanted to arrive early because of weather and they went out of their way to accommodate us on a very busy boat show time

Beautiful facility with a great staff. Easy access to walk to town. We were able to enjoy the last day of the Maine Lobsterfest. Floating docks were in great shape. Did not use shower or laundry, but they are close by and looked nice and clean.

Very nice and accommodating. Clean nice washers, heads, and showers

No information was provided by the Dockwa confirmation email that marina staff leave at 5:00pm. So when I arrived around 5:30pm there was no one around and I had no idea where to go. Luckily other customers assisted me, fave gave me the door codes for the facilities and the power was on, and I borrowed a nearby water hose. I called the 24-hour number several times and left a message but no one replied. It all worked out in the end but not a great customer experience for a first-time visit.
Marina Response:
I apologize we were not available for your arrival, we have some great customers here so I am glad they were able to help out. Your information has allowed us to better serve our customers, thank you. Look forward to accommodating you on your next visit. Respectfully, JEM Staff
