Marina itself is an excellent location but 100% unprotected gets very choppy worse than being underway in choppy water. Lesson learned for me I should have looked more closely. People were nice amenities were top notch.

Needs dedicated restrooms. Dock master was helpful. Needs some wave abatement!!!

It was not good. The docs were very rough. There was no wake protection. Boats were pitching around no showers no bathroom the dock boy didn’t know what he was doing. It was expensive and I would not recommend it to anyone.

The location is what sells the marina, but they would do far better if they installed floating docks. The staff is friendly and are there to answer all your questions, but as I said, the floating docks make all the difference. Love it either way though. Did NOT find it too rough when we were there, but we are 102’ Smaller vessels may find the rocking a bit much.

Location is great. Right in the heart of the city, but not protected. Was a bumpy night. Dock hands were great.

We've stayed in a lot of places, and I don't like to give a negative review. But I wouldn't come back here again. Really expensive (which is to be expected -- afterall it is Manahattan), but horrible protection. The ferry traffic in the Hudson is constant ... out boat got rocked in this place 24/7. They need a breakwall desperately. We slept in a hotel. I could never imagine trying to sleep on the boat in this place. The movement is like I've never seen before.

Fabulous location, nice crew, clean and efficient. The Hudson gets a little busy so its a bit of a bouncy stay but a good stay.

The dock handlers were great. The facilities were nice. The marina is unprotected from a very strong current and lots of rocking & rolling which made it uncomfortable to spend time on the boat. Good location but the marina needs a strong breakwater. We have stayed at other marinas on the Hudson that have breakwaters.

Great location. Water calmed down after the ferries stopped.

Great position But of movement from the wash of other boats during the day but lovely at night

Chelsea Piers excels in 2 areas: (1) location! It’s the best location for a boater to stay on Manhattan. (2) Service: the dockhands are exceptional, knowledgeable and very responsive. The only negatives are well-known. It’s very rocky during the day. The marina doesn’t have any protection from the wakes of boats flying up and down the Hudson, so be prepared to hold on if you’re aboard between 7 AM and 9 PM. The second negative is that there really aren’t any shower facilities; you can use the restroom at the adjacent Golf Club. As log. As you understand and can handle these two negatives, it’s a fantastic marina.

It’s a great location. The staff was helpful. There is no break wall and the water was rough all day. Not sure if we had access to bathrooms at Chelsea Piers.

Very good emplacement but far too hectic because of boat traffic.

Very bad experience! We are boating for more than 15 years and this is so far the worst marina we have been. Great service at start but no answer when I mentioned an electricity problem. We had to use our generator to start our air conditioning day and night. Not to mention the huge waves making it mostly impossible to stay inside of the boat. We left very soon in the morning to get a quieter place.

Staff was great. Dockmaster and Lupita in the office 5 star. 3 star due to lack of power. Ran gen entire time. First night we understood there was no power. Moved the next day to a dock that supposedly had power but it was not sufficient so ran gen the second night. We're 90' so if your taking larger boats then there should be proper power available. It's New York so get ready for surge from boat wakes throughout the day. If you want to be in the city it's here or North Cove Marina and good luck getting them to answer the phone or email.

Dock staff was helpful however the location and esthetics were sub standard. There currently is a giant construction barge in the marina.
