My slip was surrounded by old commercial trollers. I have a fiberglass boat white in color. I keep this boat clean. On more than 1 occasion I found my boat covered in exhaust soot from 1 of the neighboring boats. I had to buy a special cleaner and scrub for hours to remove the STAINS. In the future I would ask to be moored with like boats. Other than that the facilities are adequate and the port employees are great. Thanks Sean

We actually stayed there from 8/30 and departed on 9/1. We had circumstances that required rescheduling three times. Since we were sailing down the coast from Bellingham predicting actual arrival time was tricky and we arrived earlier than the 12pm check-in time. Britney was super accomodating and helpful beyond compare. For instance, We had purchased a chart kit for our chart plotter that came in the day before our departure. I attempted to update the chip but my internet connection was terrible. The day after we arrived at Westport Marina, I called Britney to ask if I could use their wi-fi. She said yes but it works best outside. I asked about a charging station (outlet) and she wasn't sure put knew that the donut shop would have wi-fi. So off to the donut shop which was very crowded. My phone rang and it was Britney with more info and a for sure charging station and Wi-fi, the Knotty Pine bar and grill. It worked out well, I was able to download and update the chart card. Later I finally made it up to the office, met Britney and couldn't thank her enough. The staff did a fantastic job. Thank you so much. Sincerely James Ingraham

Parking in front of pier 19 was sometimes a challenge, filled by people who don’t have a slip . Parking should be by permit for those that pay for a moorage slip . All others like people who come to crab or catch a ride with a launched boat need not to park in this limited area .

We could not tie up in the slip we were appointed because the dock had commercial crab pots and garbage cans on it. We tied up in another open slip and contacted Westport Marina office first thing in the morning. They were very accommodating and said we could stay in the slip we had moved to. I was told they would take care of the issue with the crab pots, but after three days everything was still on the dock.

Management should review how individuals are setting crab pots right on top of or right next to a pot set by the person paying for that slip. It seems there is no respect to those paying money to be there. I recommend putting secure entry gates at street level. This has been done at many other Marinas. This would keep thieves from taking gear off my boat again.

New rules at the marina don't benefit me at all. It was bad enough that I lease my slip annually and the marina would sublease to a commercial boat from Jan to I returned in late April. I would have to call and reverse charges for power use every year. This year it didn't happen. I can no longer let my friends use the slip when I'm not. I pay for annual moorage. The port double charges for the slip if I'm not there. Everett marina has lock gates to keep the public off of the docks. I have to rent a dock box from the port. A few years ago I asked permission to place a commercial dock box but was denied. I have to keep the dock clear unlike the charter and commercials. I can see keeping trash off of the dock but crab gear and and a lockable dock box is allowed in many other marinas. I understand that I can rent a dock box at an additional cost per month. Do I continue to amass fees during the off season? Port employees are nice and are a pleasure to work with except for when the boat needs to be serviced I. e. Oil changes. Again commercials and chart boats do their service on the water. I brought oil mats and drain pans to collect and dispose of my waste at the office. I live 3.5 hours northeast in Stanwood, long way to tow my boat to DIY myself. Just some of my gripes with the port. John Risser
