Safe Harbor Greenport

The slip was perfect, the Dock hand and the Harbor Master were excellent. Not having the shuttle anymore is a real downside.

Everyone is so helpful at the marina. I love everyone. Shawn is a tremendous manager. I have to say Christian was a really good choice for dockmaster. He is kind courteous and really made me feel calm for my first time docking with our bigger boat at a different marina. Thanks for a pleasant stay as always. Vicki zGraham

Great marina— staff was pleasant & friendly, facilities were nice & clean. Pool was temporarily closed for maintenance—but we were able to use Safe Harbor Stirling, which was a close walk. Billy’s by the bay, great food, live music & great margaritas! Will definitely visit again soon!

The staff as always was very accommodating and got us in even though it is usually difficult to get in with a 65' boat ,and there picnic they had was great.

Great spot. Was my first stop on a 4 stop trip and safe harbor was easily our favorite.

First trip to Safe Harbor Greenport and will certainly be back. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and could not have had a better experience. Dock staff were professional, friendly, and attentive. The docks themselves are a thing of beauty, and the onsite restaurant, Billy's by the Bay, was a real treat.

My husband and I stayed here in July 2023 for 3 nights as Safe Harbor Stirling was not available. This was our first to this marina. We were very happy with the service provided; all of the dock hands were more than accommodating and wanted to make our stay very pleasant. We also went in the pool which was very refreshing. In addition, the restaurant they have, Billy’s by the Bay, is great!

Great place to call "Homeport!"

We love this marina. Staff friendly and helpful. We understand the shuttle to town will no longer be available. WHAT??? That was a perk to this marina and they have been doing this for years. Why is it no longer manageable?? The staff were kind enough to bring us to town that day. Please rethink this. Many other marinas are adding this benefit. We will return again soon.

Nice place clean and convenient

SH Greenport provided me, my wife and our dog with an unforgettable three-night stay for 4th of July weekend. Everyone on staff (extra props to Nathan) was absolutely fantastic, making our time at the marina truly remarkable. The docks are in great condition and well-lit for those interested in late-night walks or trips to the on-shore bathrooms/showers. 100% will be returning every year, even with our 3 hour ride from Stamford, CT.

Clean facilities and friendly staff - always a great place to stay!

The ducks are well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. However, there was no hot water in the shower. After 15 minutes it was tepid at best. They have also eliminated their courtesy van service which was one of the reasons I selected this Marina even though it is a mle and a half from downtown. For cost, I was disappointed.

Great place, small marina, a bit out of town. Nice and quiet and well appointed. Dock hands were at the ready when we arrived and gave us the lay of the land. Thanks for a nice stay.

Our stay was very last minute and we had to cut it short because of impending weather but Christian was not only very quick to respond but also very accommodating. We received all of the necessary information to make our short stay work for us. When in Greenport again, we will definitely consider Safe Harbor Greenport.

The dockmaster and team here were fantastic! Very accommodative and pleasant to work with. Also found the facilities to be in good, clean condition. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Safe Harbor Greenport is a beautiful marina. We enjoyed a night there on Labor Day weekend. Very clean, friendly staff, great pool and restaurant. And live music we could hear by the pool. Would definitely go back again.

Great, friendly and helpful staff, nearby to downtown, less than 2 miles. Nice sea food restaurant, Billys by the bay, on the yard with music and great food. Walking distance to sister Marina SH Stirling that accommodates bigger boats. Overall great experience, highly recommend

Nice pool friendly staff nice dock. Shuttle service was nice but could have more convenient. Would be nice to have bikes or scooters for rent to get in town. It’s quite a long walk. Taxi was $25 for 6 people. Food is great in town. Would stay there again

If there is anything you need, the staff is always able and willing to help. If they don't have it, they'll find it. Brian and Christian were great during our stay

We thought the marina was very nice the only problem was the internet. We had an intermittent signal so it was impossible to get anything done. If you have business to deal with you have to purchase another link. If a marina advertises internet service it should be a dependable service.

It was our first time staying at SH Greenport and definitely will not be our last! Everything at the marina was excellent including the location, helpful staff, shuttle to town and the INCREDIBLY clean bathrooms!!! We left today and are already looking to book our next trip over from the CT river.

Marina Facilities are very clean, Dock staff is extremely professional and friendly especially Robert and Liam. Robert did a great job with catching out lines and showing us the facilities. Liam was great in the office and getting us signed in he was also very helpful in getting us a cab when the Shuttle was in for maintenance. Billy’s was wonderful and highly suggest the lobster rolls. Overall great place and can’t wait to be back.

What a wonderful experience! We have stayed at many marinas, and this marina is by far the cleanest, friendliest, well cared for marina. From the staff always willing to help or just to chat with, to the maintenance men and women, there is always someone around and available to assist. Great stay on July 26, 2021. Liam and Robert were great to work with. Robert was on the end of the dock waiting for my lines and tied me in. Greenport was awesome. Would highly recommend. We will be back.

Liam dock master has unbelievable. Really nice helpful and informative. Docks and slips were super. Bathrooms and showers are horrible. Pretty rundown and old. Sinks are on a sensor with no hot water. Showers and changing area a very tight. It is time for an upgrade. Go next door to Safe Harbor Stirling and the facilities are all beautiful and brand new. The sinks there actually have handles. Cannot believe the marinas are owned by same company. On another note both restaurants at the marinas are fantastic. Greenport is a great town we will be back hopefully there will be an upgrade by next season.

Staff was very friendly. Free shuttle to town. Bathrooms/shower were very clean. Liam and staff was very helpful, docking, connecting power, information, etc. Wish I had more time to stay a few more days and explore the town of Greenport. Definitely coming back.

Safe Harbor Greenport is one of my “go to” marinas away from homeport, Safe Harbor Pilots Point Marina, Westbrook CT. I’ve been here several times and always enjoy my stay. It’s an easy half day sail across the LIS for me. This time I’m using it as my last layover on the way back on my 2 week Fall Cruise to Edgartown, MV. After 2 weeks on anchor and mooring it’s such a luxury to be tied up to a nice dock with shore power and a hot shower. As always, dock manager Liam was most accommodating. I especially appreciated his prompt confirmation of a transient slip, made the morning of my arrival. I was in the Block Island Sound headed to Coecles Harbor, Shelter Island, but decided that full marina services would be nice. Dock crew, Tom, was waiting for me at my assigned slip (facemask on) and made tie-up very easy. I’ll be back, next season. Cap’n Mitch s/v Pleiades, Beneteau Oceanis 34

Just Fantastic Liam took great care of everything. Quiet and protected. Floating docks with friendly neighbors. HOT showers and an easy walk or ride to town.

Safe Harbor formerly Brewers in Greenport was great. The personnel were extremely welcoming. We needed a space in a hurry and they accommodated us. The restaurant food and service were good. The pool well maintained and they have a full service shop if needed.

Marina was fine. People greeting us were great. Restaurant was closed the day we were there for maint, so we did not get to try that. Pool was lovely, grill area looks nice, but we did not use it. Restrooms were clean and modern. Van service to town was a plus.

Very helpful getting into our slip. Clean laundry with enough machines, decent showers. WiFi was a bit unreliable, and it was a shame that the pool and restaurant were closed— although I get it, we visited after Labor Day.

I needed work on my holding tank. They assigned a super man to do the repair in the morning after we arrived. Our arrival was late on Sunday afternoon after the office had closed. Between what we heard on the phone and a complete Welcome package we were able to enjoy the many amenities. Very friendly and capablr staff.

Our stay at Safe Harbor Greenport was perfect! The berth accommodation was easy to find and easy to get into and the staff was outstanding! Every person we saw could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The morning of our departure we had concerns about severe weather, and office folks helped us to make safe plans. Could not have had a more pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Greenport Yacht Yard. The accommodations were great (best marina showers) and the people were kind and friendly. Billy’s Crab Bar keeps things lively, but they quiet down early so you can have a relaxing evening on your boat. Definitely will stay again.

We arrived via Sea Tow, our engine refusing to turn on just outside of Greenport. Our slip was waiting and we were met by the yard staff. By late that day, even though it was quitting time, someone showed up ( I wish I recalled his name to give him his full credit), figured out the problem, and had our ignition working normally so we could leave the next morning and make important appointments the following day. The restrooms and showers were immaculate, the office staff friendly and efficient, and the coffe in the little lounge welcome. We have been at this yard before and will be there again.

In writing this review I tried to restrict my use of superlatives. But I found it impossible. I’ve never been to a Marina that has gone so far out of it’s way to extend courtesies that left me speechless. I wish to publicly thank the entire staff including General Manager Michael Acebo for truly exemplary customer service. This level of service and care is rare. Stayed here twice in a week and both times had a very good experience. Staff greeted us when we came in, very helpful getting us tied up and plugged in, very accommodating. Clean restrooms and lounge, grassy picnic area with grill, nice pool. Restaurant and bar- Billy’s on the Bay- on site. Good drinks, lobster specials, clams, oysters, shrimp, several TVs. More of a boat yard than a resort, very well equipped to do all kinds of repairs, huge travel lift. Only suggestion is to keep pool open longer, it closes at 6pm, which seems too early on a summer night. Will def return.

The person i spoke to when I first called was super-friendly and directed me to Dockwa. I was a little surprised by the $4.00/foot transient fee ( i didn't even bother to ask how much more it would be for electricity) but we were stuck without a dinghy engine and needed a slip near Coecles harbor. The dockhands were helpful, but when we went to "check in" at the office, the person behind the desk was flustered and said he doesn't usually work behind the desk and didn't offer to find someone who did. He couldn't answer basic questions like connecting to Wi-fi, restroom passwords. Eventually someone else came by and said "give them a welcome packet" as the rushed by. We figured things out, but for $150/night plus tax would have hoped for a little more customer service.

Thank you to everyone at Brewer yacht yard for our outstanding service. Thank you Mike Acebo for making arrangements for our slip and maintenance, to Jeff for the outstanding job running the docks and to Max and Anthony for the great work in installing our new batteries. In preparation for Hurricane Jose, we asked for a slip as we worked our way back to North Carolina. We needed 6 new batteries which I had shipped to Brewer and they were installed quickly by a great crew. We are on our way in no time and I'm so impressed with the folks at Brewer Greenport.

We had a great stay, docks were excellent, three dockhands were awaiting our arrival, shuttle was terrific, Billy's restaurant had very good food and drink, Jeff was very helpful and a wealth of knowledge. We'll be back !!

Pleasant and clean facility. Helpful crew. Nice floating docks. Jeff is a great addition and very friendly. Electrical power quality on docks is poor with sustained very low voltage. Unsatisfactory. A bit pricy.

The Brewers staff at Greenport has always been professional, courteous and friendly. For years we have made it a point to sail there. Any boat problems or accommodation issues where addressed immediately. It's the closes thing to our favorite Brewers marina; our home port at Brewers Stratford.

Everyone at the yard was very friendly and accommodating. We signed up for I day but we were able to stay another day and Jeff helped us out with that. No problem. Our slip was a bit tight, we have a 15' beam, but I was able to get her in. Billy's offered very good food and my wife enjoyed the Banana Mudslides. Pool was refreshing. And the shuttle to town was a nice touch. Overall a nice stop. The Mary-Jean

These people bent over backwards to accommodate a 47' boat on the 4th of July with no reservations. The manager and staff were extremelly helpful and friendly We loved the shuttle if only the MTA and LIRR could do as well.

We attended the Brewers rendezvous and initially booked at Stirling. However, the events were at Brewers Greenport and I have a bad knee so the walk from Stirling, although not far, would be problematic for me. Jeff was so kind to fit me into Greenport and canceled the Stirling reservation. Very friendly people there and all willing to help. We found the transportation shuttle to town to be fine. There is a restaurant on site and a more formal one at Stirling. Love our two days at Brewers Greenport and much appreciated Jeff's efforts!

We must have been the largest boat in the Marina. Unfortunately, we were given a very difficult slip to get in and out of. Not quite sure what they were thinking when they did that. This is basically what I would describe as a work yard, not the kind of place where you would want to hang out.

We love the area and the marina. The only issue we had are the showers. The water is consistently cold. Hope you are able to work on that. Other than that great yard and very professional.

Marina assigned us a slip that was literally narrower than our boat's beam. This despite accurate information given through Dockwa. Then said they had nothing else, encouraged us to jam past piling. Shuttle service to downtown was sketchy, very few amenities at this marina. And VERRRRRY expensive.
