Carousel Marina was wonderful. Their moorings & staff are first class, although we did not utilize their facilities a this visit in the past they have been top notch. We’ll be back next year.

We return to Carousel Marina each year that we cruise Maine. This year we have now stayed at Carousel several times and each time appreciate the staff, facilities and location more and more. This year they offered us a ride back and forth to the Maine Botanical Garden, a very magical place. This made our stay even more enjoyable.

Great marina. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities. Short walk to Boothbay restaurants and shops. The onsite restaurant is great.

Easy pick up ………… calm spot. Very new as all the floating docks are being replaced. Nicedingy dock too. Seem to always have space

We had a great experience at Carousel Marina. Excellent floating docks, beautiful view of the harbor and a great restaurant on site. Dockhands were experienced and very friendly. We highly recommend.

We had a good 4 day stay on the mooring with our 44’ power boat. The facilities are nice and clean, the dinghy dock always had space and the people working there are very nice and helpful. Everything we needed, including a small store and restaurant . Highly recommend.

Eva, Jax, Patrick and all the staff at Carousel are unfailingly courteous, helpful, and professional. Clearly, they understand how to handle boats of all sizes and configurations in all sorts of weather. The facility is clean and Whales Tale is a culinary gem. We always make Carousel the keystone of our Maine cruises.

After waiting 15 min for an Uber that never showed up and calling 3 taxi companies with no luck, the owner provided my wife a ride to the Hannaford grocery store. Above and beyond the call. The moorings are well spaced. For those reasons, I’d give Carousel 5 stars. Unfortunately, the mooring field is in a very busy section of the harbour. We were continually being passed within 50-100’ by large tour boats, fishing boats, lobster boats other pleasure boats. That eventually stopped late at night but then started back up shortly after 4am. For that reason, I’d give the mooring field 1 star. Average it out and I’d call it 3-stars.

The management at this marina is very friendly and super accommodating. We extended our stay here twice, once because we loved it and another day for weather. It has a nice bar and restaurant, clean and plentiful showers, laundry, fuel and an easily accessed fuel dock. It even has a chandlery of small marine equipment. Carousel funded a spectacular drone show during our stay. It is a very tight mooring field but no issues in a 45’ in 25-35kts.

About Carousel Marina
Carousel Marina is the first marina on your right when entering Boothbay Harbor. The marina was recently purchased by new owners in June 2022. Carousel Marina now is run by a young & dedicated family who has been working tirelessly this winter to upgrade all interior and exterior amenities. Our on-site restaurant, The Whale’s Tale is also open 7 days a week for your convenience May through October! All docks have been rebuilt to create a safer and more appealing environment. The updated interior amenities now include a provision market, 24/7 shower and bathroom access, zoom rooms for those who are working remotely during their ocean adventures, and a complete redesign of the ship store. Please come and stay with us in 2023 to enjoy the much needed improvements!
