The quality of the facilities is very good, with high, stable docks and clean and modern restrooms. The pool is shared with the marina and pool memberships, so it tends to get very busy. The staff spends the day re-arranging the yard and moving boats with a bobcat and tractors with backup beepers; a slip near the buildings is a bit noisy and dusty. One of the better marinas in the area.
I am a year round tenant. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the restrooms/showers are modern and clean. The newly opened infinity swimming pool and bar is very nice. The grille will deliver to the pool, the steak sandwiches and sweet potatoe fries are great! The floating docks are in very good condition with brand new ramps. It is well protected from Greenwich Bay. The WiFi is weak at my slip (end of B dock) but works well with a long range WiFi antenna. The fuel dock is parallel to the Warwick cove channel and very easy to access. A brand new travel lift is scheduled for September.
Harbor Light is locally owned and the manager John McGovern is a marine veteran. We are cruisers and have experience with facilities up and down the coast. This may be off the beaten track but it can handle most repairs without skipping a beat. The on-site mechanic is an independent contractor and believes in customer service. Fuel is fresh and the aproach to the fuel dock is an easy side-to with pump out also available. They have just aquired a golf course and restaurant next door and a pool is projected for next summer.
No longer simply a first-class Rhode Island marina, we offer seasonal members, transients and short-term vacationers a combination of recreational offerings second to none. When available, daily transients enjoy complimentary docking by calling ahead to dockmaster, channel 9 VHF.
Plan to spend the day or drop in for a round of golf, a swim, cocktails, a meal or to simply share a relaxing evening by the fire pits enjoying the stunning views and sunsets over Narragansett Bay.
