LONG FLOATING DOCK FOR TRANSIANTS..ALL NEW BOATERS SHOWERS AND LOUNGE....GREAT EATING A FEW BLOCKS AWAY
Easy in and out - Easy docking on a floating dock, Nice walk to town. New shower facilities. Enjoyable place to stop over for a night.
Paid $37 a night for a slip. The slip ended up being a floating dock (which I prefer anyways), however, there was no saved spot. The second day, my boat was asked to be moved twice. The water connections are nice and easy to access, however, when being moved constantly, you may be moved further away from them and not have any access to the water. I had a strange feeling like I was the only one paying to dock there. There were always locals who would tie up and then leave. I was asked several times if I knew whose boat was in front of me. I think I was fortunate that once I had finally cleaned up my boat and left the marina, I came back the next morning to find my boat in the same spot. But someone did come by my boat saying his had been moved. They lock the marina up after a certain time, for the night, which I like. And, they give you a key to get in and get out. It is fairly easy to access your boat with the way the floating dock is located near the parking lot. I think if I had had a saved spot, and someone would've been on the locals who were coming in and docking, then I would've really enjoyed my stay since I love floating docks. However, I just kept feeling an urgency to get back early or else all the spots would be gone. And, there is a head boat that uses about half of the floating dock to load and unload. They don't have that area marked on how much room he needs, so it can be a little aggravating to know if where you are parked is ok or not. Had the dock space been around $10 a night I would've been alright with the inconveniences, however, these were East Coast Palm Beach prices that I was paying, and over there I get a reserved slip, with people helping to dock whenever I come in. Also, I couldn't find a fish cleaning station in the marina. They may actually have one, but no where I could find.
