Great marina… they were super helpful when we were docking. The restaurant… the food was good. I just wished for a little better wi-fi. All in I would recommend a stay.

1 Bathroom for all guest AND RESIDENTS is not sufficient. Also, 2 separate residents ( 1 at around 9P and 1 at 5A) knocked on my boat. One wanted to use my cell phone to access the internet and was verbally abusive when denied. The other was looking for her boyfriend (who had been gone all night) and wondered if I had seen him. However, the food at the restaurant was OUTSTANDING!

Excellent dockmaster. Good experience here but only stayed one night. We did not eat at the restaurant but it has a very good reputation and many of our friends enjoyed eating there.

Midway Marina is very nice with friendly, efficient staff. They coordinated the arrival of all 4 boats and caught our lines at the floating wooden docks. The marina has a ships store, restaurant, captains lounge, 2 clean bathroom/showers and 4 coin washer/driers. They also have diesel, gas, pump out and a courtesy car. Wifi works well at the dock but we had no T-Mobile service.

Great people to work with. Had a courtesy pickup truck. A bit remote, but had Walmart and hardware within 30 mins. Tupoelo had some great food.

We didn’t have reservations but they took us in at last minute. The dock hand stayed on the radio with us and directed us into the marina (it was windy and raining). Bathroom was clean and nice. Restaurant prices were reasonable.

Midway is a lovely little marina. The staff is friendly, guided us in and and met us at the dock to help get us tied up. The ship store has the largest walk in beer fridge I've ever seen at a marina. The laundry area is large with multiple machines and is adjacent to a common area with a large flat screen tv. There is one men's and one women's bathroom near the common area that each has a shower and toilet. The restaurant above the common area looks out and has great options with seafood like shrimp and grits. Getting into the marina is not tricky but you have to pay attention to the buoys - the area outside them is stumpy and shallow and on the charts listed at the "Fulton Mine Field."

Everyone was very friendly and helpfull. The marina is a bit run down and need of repairs. They also have many dogs running around unleashed. Some were the marina owners dogs and some were seasonal slip renters dogs. We had to watch out for them when walking our dog. We did really enjoy the restaurant. They had great food.

We arrived late after dark and they were on the dock and radio guiding us in the channel. Got us secured to the transient dock. Power and water plugged in Barely had to lift a finger. Great experience. We even had enough time to run up to Guys place on the water for dinner and a few drinks. Excellent staff and yummy food. Recommend the CBR Quesadilla

Great stop on a pretty spot on the river. Minimal wake. Very quiet. Nice boater’s lounge. Welcoming staff. No restaurant at marina or within walking distance. I was told that there is a bike path that one could ride to a sports bar / restaurant (Legends) but we did not check that out. Fuel is available.

A boater's guide to Midway Marina

Located directly off the Tenn-Tom River at mile marker 364, Midway Marina offers boaters a quiet place to spend the night yet only steps away from fun amenities. Swing a club at their driving range or eat a tasty meal at Guy’s Place. Venture a little farther to explore downtown Fulton with the courtesy car or get some exercise biking to the Fulton Dam a few miles down the road.

Approach and dockage

Midway Marina is located at mile marker 364 on the Tenn-Tom River. If headed downstream (south) the marina will be on your port side. Before you make your turn into the marina, be sure to clear the patch of tree stumps first. The marina has a small channel with secondary channel markers indicating where it is safe to begin your entrance to the marina. As you enter, keep the green secondary markers to your port side.

When you enter the marina, you will see a long covered dock sticking out (perpendicular to the shore) and to the left a series of smaller covered docks attached to a long uncovered dock (which is where the fuel pump is located). To reach the fuel dock, go around the series of smaller docks and fuel and pump out will be at the end of the long uncovered dock near the marina office.

Some transient slips are along the dock where the fuel pump is located, however they do put transients throughout the marina so check with the dockmaster where your spot is located.

Give them a call at 662-862-7306 or hail them on VHF 16, which they monitor around the clock.

Midway Marina amenities

Restrooms/Showers

Two unisex restrooms with their own showers are located on the ground/bottom floor of Guy’s Place restaurant on the hill. They are open 24/7 and a little bit of a walk from the docks. One bathroom is located in the back past the laundry and the other is closer to the entrance.

Laundry

Four dryers and four washers are located in the same building as the bathrooms/showers. All are coin operated.

Ship Store

Located right on the docks, the ship store has a fairly large beer cooler, cold drinks, and a few snacks available. They also have some apparel and a limited selection of boating items for sale.

Fuel/Pump-Out

They have diesel and gas and pump out available on the fuel dock. There is a pump out station also farther down the transient dock, so depending on where you are docked, you may be able to pump-out in your slip.

Courtesy Car

Explore downtown Fulton or provision at the Walmart about a 12 minute drive away with their courtesy car.

Pet-Friendly

There is plenty of room and green grass to take your pets to shore. Just a heads up unleashed dogs belonging to marina residents may be wandering around the grounds.

Fire Pit

A large fire pit and chairs are available to enjoy at the base of the restaurant.

Hot Tub

Next to Guy’s Place on the wood deck.

Driving Range

At the top of the hill you’ll find a pond and large field of grass with distance markers--yes that’s a driving range! Borrow some clubs and buy a few golf balls at the marina store and swing away.

Guy’s Place on the Water Dining

A cozy restaurant with indoor and outdoor (enclosed patio) dining all year round, enjoy a tasty meal or drink while looking out over the marina and Tenn-Tom River. Menu items include catfish, steak, reubens, shrimp and grits, and more. Open for lunch and dinner.

Proximity to attractions by land

Jamie L. Whitten Historical Center (1.5 miles away)

Only a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive, check out the Jamie Whitten Historical Center. While the museum is closed due to COVID for the foreseeable future, you can still access river views, picnic tables, and hiking trails in the park. Whatever mode of transportation you use to travel there, just keep an eye out for dogs from nearby homes that may run out onto the road.

Underground Railroad Bicycle Route (1.5 miles away)

At the corner of Camp Ground Road and John Rankin Highway, pick up the Tenn-Tom bike trail, a beautiful paved biking and walking trail that goes along the Tenn-Tom river ending at the Fulton Lock. The trail is also part of the Underground Railroad Bicycle Route, a 2,000 mile route that goes from Mobile, AL to Owen Sound, Ontario in Canada, and traces the path freedom seekers took before and during the Civil War to escape slavery and build a free life up north. Learn more by stopping at the Underground Railroad Marker at the start of the trail.

Downtown Fulton (2 miles away)

Head into Fulton to provision, grab something to eat, or see the town. Some sites to check out are the Playgarden Park, a full playground equipped with a water fountain to splash around in (during the summer months) and picnic tables. Or if you are into architecture, head over to The Cedars and Aeolian Grove to check out two of Fulton’s oldest homes dating back to the 1840s and 1850s.

Proximity to attractions by sea

Fulton Lock

Three miles south of Midway Marina is the Fulton Lock, which takes boaters 25 feet up and down to cruise along the Tenn-Tom River. Try to plan ahead with fellow boaters at the marina who may be departing around the same time to ensure you coordinate your arrival at the lock together. If you’re able to identify one boat to be the main communicator between the fleet and lock, the lockmaster will appreciate it!
